< Ephesians 1 >
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Ko au Paula, ko e ʻaposetolo ʻa Sisu Kalaisi ʻi he finangalo ʻoe ʻOtua, ki he kāinga māʻoniʻoni ʻoku ʻi ʻEfesō, pea ki he kakai tui ʻia Kalaisi Sisu:
2 Grace [be] to you, and peace from God our Father, and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ke ʻiate kimoutolu ʻae kelesi, mo e melino, mei he ʻOtua ko e tau Tamai, pea mei he ʻEiki ko Sisu Kalaisi.
3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ:
Fakafetaʻi ki he ʻOtua ko e Tamai ʻa hotau ʻEiki ko Sisu Kalaisi, ʻaia kuo ne tāpuaki ʻaki ʻakitautolu ʻae ngaahi tāpuaki fakalaumālie kotoa pē ʻi he ngaahi potu fakalangi ʻia Kalaisi:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
ʻO fakatatau ki heʻene fili ʻakitautolu ʻiate ia ʻi he teʻeki ai fakatupu ʻa māmani, koeʻuhi ke tau māʻoniʻoni mo taʻehalaia ʻi hono ʻao ʻi he ʻofa:
5 Having predestinated us to the adoption of children to himself by Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,
ʻAia naʻa ne tuʻutuʻuni ʻakitautolu ki he ʻohia ʻoe fānau kiate ia ʻia Sisu Kalaisi, ʻo fakatatau ki he angaʻofa ʻo hono finangalo,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he hath made us accepted in the beloved:
Ke ai ha fakafetaʻi ʻi heʻene ʻofa ongoongolelei, ʻaia kuo ne maʻu ai ʻakitautolu ʻi he ʻOfeina.
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
ʻAia ʻoku tau maʻu ai ʻae huhuʻi hono taʻataʻa, ko e fakamolemole ʻoe ngaahi angahala, ʻo fakatatau mo hono lahi ʻaupito ʻo ʻene ʻofa;
8 In which he hath abounded towards us in all wisdom and prudence;
ʻAia kuo ne fonu lahi ʻaupito ai kiate kitautolu, ʻi he poto kotoa pē mo e ʻiloʻilo;
9 Having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
ʻI he fakaʻilo kiate kitautolu ʻae meʻa fakalilolilo ʻo hono finangalo, ʻo fakatatau mo e angaʻofa ʻaʻana, ʻaia naʻa ne tuʻutuʻuni ʻiate ia pe:
10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might collect in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him:
Koeʻuhi ʻi he kakato ʻoe ngaahi kuonga naʻa ne tuʻutuʻuni, ke ne fakakātoa fakataha ʻae meʻa kotoa pē ʻia Kalaisi, ʻae meʻa ʻoku ʻi he langi, mo ia ʻoku ʻi māmani; ʻio, ʻiate ia:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
ʻAia kuo mau maʻu ai foki ʻae tofiʻa, he kuo ne tuʻutuʻuni ʻakimautolu ʻo fakatatau ki he faʻiteliha ʻo ia ʻoku fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ʻo fakatatau ki he poto ʻo hono finangalo:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Koeʻuhi ke ongoongolelei ʻene angalelei ʻiate kimautolu naʻe tomuʻa falala kia Kalaisi,
13 In whom ye also [trusted], after ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Mo kimoutolu foki, ʻi he hili hoʻomou fanongo ki he folofola ʻoe moʻoni, ko e ongoongolelei ʻo homou fakamoʻui: ʻaia foki ʻi hoʻomou tui, naʻe fakaʻilonga ʻaki ʻakimoutolu ʻae Laumālie Māʻoniʻoni ʻoe talaʻofa,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of his glory.
ʻAia ko e fakamoʻoni ia ʻo hotau tofiʻa, kaeʻoua ke huhuʻi ʻae tofiʻa kuo fakatau, ke fakaongolelei ai ʻene angalelei.
15 Wherefore I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love to all the saints,
Pea ko au foki, hili ʻeku fanongo ki hoʻomou tui ki he ʻEiki ko Sisu, mo e ʻofa ki he kāinga māʻoniʻoni kotoa pē,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
ʻOku ʻikai tuku ʻeku ʻatu ʻae fakafetaʻi koeʻuhi ko kimoutolu, ʻo takua ʻakimoutolu ʻi heʻeku ngaahi lotu;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Koeʻuhi ke tuku kiate kimoutolu ʻe he ʻOtua ʻo hotau ʻEiki ko Sisu Kalaisi, ko e Tamai ʻoe nāunau, ʻae laumālie ʻoe poto mo e fakahā ʻi he faʻa ʻiloʻi ia;
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
ʻI he fakamaama ʻae mata ʻo homou loto; koeʻuhi ke mou ʻilo ai, pe ko e hā ʻae ʻamanaki lelei ʻo ʻene ui, pea ko e hā ʻae koloa ʻoe lelei ʻo hono tofiʻa ʻi he kāinga māʻoniʻoni,
19 And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Pea ko e hā hono lahi fakamanavahē ʻo ʻene mālohi kiate kitautolu ʻoku tui, ʻo fakatatau ki he ngāue ʻa hono māfimafi lahi ʻaupito,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],
ʻAia naʻa ne fai kia Kalaisi, ʻi heʻene fokotuʻu hake ia mei he pekia, ʻo ne fakanofo ia ki hono nima toʻomataʻu ʻi he ngaahi potu fakalangi,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: (aiōn )
ʻO māʻolunga lahi ʻaupito ʻi he ngaahi pule kotoa pē, mo e mālohi, mo e māfimafi, mo e ʻeikiʻanga mo e hingoa kotoa pē ʻoku ui ʻaki, ʻikai ʻi he māmani pe, ka ʻi he maama ko ia foki ʻe hoko: (aiōn )
22 And put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church,
Pea kuo tuku ʻe ia ʻae ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ki hono lalo vaʻe, pea fakanofo ia ko e ʻulu ki he ngaahi meʻa kotoa pē ki hono siasi,
23 Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.
ʻAia ko hono sino, ko e fonu ʻo ia ʻoku ne fakafonu kotoa pē ʻi he meʻa kotoa pē.
