Deuteronomy 26
1 And it shall be, when thou hast come in to the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;
Será, quando tiverdes entrado na terra que Javé vosso Deus vos dá por herança, possuí-la e habitar nela,
2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put [it] in a basket, and shalt go to the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.
que tomareis um dos primeiros frutos da terra, que trareis de vossa terra, que Javé vosso Deus vos dá. Você o colocará em uma cesta e irá ao lugar que Javé seu Deus escolher para fazer habitar ali seu nome.
3 And thou shalt go to the priest that shall be in those days, and say to him, I profess this day to the LORD thy God, that I have come to the country which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.
Você virá ao sacerdote que estará naqueles dias, e lhe dirá: “Professo hoje a Javé seu Deus, que vim à terra que Javé jurou a nossos pais nos dar”.
4 And the priest shall take the basket from thy hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.
O sacerdote tirará a cesta de sua mão e a colocará diante do altar de Yahweh, seu Deus.
5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish [was] my father, and he went down to Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:
Você responderá e dirá diante de Javé seu Deus: “Meu pai era um sírio pronto para perecer. Ele desceu ao Egito, e viveu lá, poucos em número. Lá ele se tornou uma grande, poderosa e populosa nação.
6 And the Egyptians ill-treated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:
Os egípcios nos maltrataram, nos afligiram e nos impuseram trabalho árduo.
7 And when we cried to the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labor, and our oppression:
Em seguida gritamos a Javé, o Deus de nossos pais. Javé ouviu nossa voz, e viu nossa aflição, nossa labuta e nossa opressão.
8 And the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an out-stretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders;
Javé nos tirou do Egito com uma mão poderosa, com um braço estendido, com grande terror, com sinais e com maravilhas;
9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, [even] a land that floweth with milk and honey.
e nos trouxe para este lugar, e nos deu esta terra, uma terra que flui com leite e mel.
10 And now, behold, I have brought the first-fruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me: and thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:
agora, eis que eu trouxe o primeiro dos frutos da terra, que você, Javé, me deu”. Tu o porás diante de Javé, teu Deus, e adorá-lo-ás diante de Javé, teu Deus”.
11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good [thing] which the LORD thy God hath given to thee, and to thy house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that [is] among you.
Você se alegrará com todo o bem que Iavé, seu Deus, lhe deu, e com sua casa, você, o levita e o estrangeiro que está entre vocês.
12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thy increase the third year, [which is] the year of tithing, and hast given [it] to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled:
Quando você tiver terminado de dar o dízimo de seu dízimo no terceiro ano, que é o ano do dízimo, então você o dará ao levita, ao estrangeiro, ao órfão de pai e à viúva, para que eles possam comer dentro de seus portões e serem saciados.
13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of [my] house, and also have given them to the Levite, and to the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten [them]:
Você dirá diante de Javé seu Deus: “Eu tirei as coisas sagradas de minha casa, e também as dei ao levita, ao estrangeiro, ao órfão e à viúva, de acordo com todo o seu mandamento que você me ordenou”. Eu não transgredi nenhum de seus mandamentos, nem os esqueci.
14 I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I taken away [aught] of it for [any] unclean [use], nor given [aught] of it for the dead: [but] I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, [and] have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.
Não comi dele em meu luto, nem o removi enquanto estava impuro, nem o dei para os mortos. Escutei a voz de Javé, meu Deus. Fiz de acordo com tudo o que vocês me ordenaram.
15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou didst swear to our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
Olhai para baixo de vossa santa habitação, do céu, e abençoai vosso povo Israel, e a terra que nos destes, como jurastes a nossos pais, terra que mana leite e mel”.
16 This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to perform these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thy heart, and with all thy soul.
Hoje Yahweh seu Deus ordena que você faça estes estatutos e ordenanças. Portanto, vós os guardareis e os cumprireis com todo o vosso coração e com toda a vossa alma.
17 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken to his voice:
Hoje declarou que Javé é seu Deus, e que você caminharia em seus caminhos, guardaria seus estatutos, seus mandamentos e suas ordenanças, e escutaria sua voz.
18 And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that [thou] shouldst keep all his commandments;
Javé declarou hoje que você é um povo para sua própria posse, como ele lhe prometeu, e que você deve guardar todos os seus mandamentos.
19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be a holy people to the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.
Ele vos elevará acima de todas as nações que ele fez, em louvor, em nome e em honra, e que vós sejais um povo santo para Javé vosso Deus, como ele falou.
