Deuteronomy 15
1 At the end of [every] seven years thou shalt make a release.
La sfârşitul fiecăror şapte ani să faci o scutire.
2 And this [is] the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth [aught] to his neighbor shall release [it]; he shall not exact [it] of his neighbor, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD'S release.
Şi astfel să fie scutirea: Fiecare creditor, care împrumută ceva aproapelui său, să îl scutească; să nu îl stoarcă de la aproapele lui sau de la fratele lui, pentru că aceasta este numită scutirea DOMNULUI.
3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact [it again]: but [that] which is thine with thy brother thy hand shall release:
De la locuitorul temporar poţi să îl storci, dar mâna ta să scutească ceea ce este al tău la fratele tău;
4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee [for] an inheritance to possess it:
Numai când nu va fi la tine niciun sărac, pentru că DOMNUL te va binecuvânta mult în ţara, pe care ţi-o dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău ca moştenire, ca să o stăpâneşti,
5 Only if thou shalt carefully hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day.
Numai dacă vei da ascultare cu atenţie la vocea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău, ca să iei seama să împlineşti toate aceste porunci pe care ţi le poruncesc astăzi.
6 For the LORD thy God shall bless thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend to many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
Pentru că DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău te va binecuvânta, precum ţi-a promis şi vei da cu împrumut multor naţiuni, dar tu nu vei lua cu împrumut; şi tu vei stăpâni peste multe naţiuni, dar ele nu vor stăpâni peste tine.
7 If there shall be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD the God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy poor brother:
Dacă este printre voi un sărac, unul dintre fraţii tăi înăuntrul oricăreia dintre porţile tale din ţara ta, pe care ţi-o dă DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău, să nu îţi împietreşti inima nici să nu îţi închizi mâna spre fratele tău sărac,
8 But thou shalt open thy hand wide to him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, [in that] which he wanteth.
Ci să îţi deschizi larg mâna spre el şi să îl împrumuţi, într-adevăr, suficient pentru nevoia lui, în care duce lipsă.
9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thy eye shall be evil against thy poor brother, and thou shalt give him naught; and he shall cry to the LORD against thee, and it shall be sin to thee.
Ia seama să nu fie un gând în inima ta stricată, spunând: Se apropie anul al şaptelea, anul scutirii; şi ochiul tău să fie rău împotriva fratelui tău sărac şi să nu îi dai nimic, iar el să strige împotriva ta către DOMNUL şi să îţi fie păcat.
10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thy heart shall not be grieved when thou givest to him: because that for this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thy hand to.
Să îi dai, într-adevăr, şi inima ta să nu fie mâhnită când îi dai, căci pentru lucrul acesta te va binecuvânta DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău în toate lucrările tale şi peste tot ce îţi vei pune mâna.
11 For the poor shall never cease from the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thy hand wide to thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
Pentru că săracii nu vor lipsi niciodată din ţara ta, de aceea îţi poruncesc, spunând: Să îţi deschizi mâna larg faţă de fratele tău, faţă de săracul tău şi faţă de nevoiaşul tău din ţara ta.
12 [And] if thy brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, shall be sold to thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.
Şi dacă fratele tău, un evreu sau o evreică, ţi se vinde ţie şi îţi serveşte şase ani, atunci în anul al şaptelea să îl laşi să plece liber de la tine.
13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him depart empty:
Şi, când îl laşi să plece liber de la tine, să nu îl laşi să plece cu mâna goală,
14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy wine-press: [of that] with which the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give to him.
Să îl aprovizionezi cu dărnicie din turma ta şi din aria ta şi din teascul tău, din tot ce te-a binecuvântat DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău, să îi dai.
15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bond-man in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing this day.
Şi să îţi aminteşti că ai fost rob în ţara Egiptului şi că DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău te-a răscumpărat; de aceea îţi poruncesc acest lucru astăzi.
16 And it shall be, if he shall say to thee, I will not leave thee; because he loveth thee and thy house, because he is well with thee;
Şi să fie astfel, dacă el îţi spune: Nu voi ieşi de la tine, fiindcă te iubeşte pe tine şi casa ta, pentru că îi este bine cu tine;
17 Then thou shalt take an awl, and thrust [it] through his ear into the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also to thy maid-servant thou shalt do likewise.
Atunci să iei o sulă şi să o împungi prin urechea lui la uşă şi să îţi fie servitor pentru totdeauna. Şi la fel să faci şi servitoarei tale.
18 It shall not seem hard to thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been of double the worth of a hired servant [to thee], in serving thee six years: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.
Să nu îţi pară greu, când îl laşi să plece liber de la tine, pentru că, servindu-ţi şase ani, ţi-a fost dublul muncii unui servitor plătit; şi DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău te va binecuvânta în tot ce faci.
19 All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.
Să sfinţeşti pentru DOMNUL Dumnezeul tău pe toţi întâii-născuţi de parte bărbătească din cireada ta şi din turma ta, să nu faci nicio lucrare cu întâiul-născut al taurului tău, nici să nu tunzi pe întâiul-născut al oii tale.
20 Thou shalt eat [it] before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.
Să îl mănânci înaintea DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău an după an, tu şi casa ta, în locul pe care îl va alege DOMNUL.
21 And if there is [any] blemish in it, [as if it is] lame, or blind, [or hath] any ill blemish, thou shalt not sacrifice it to the LORD thy God.
Iar dacă este vreun cusur în el, dacă este şchiop sau orb sau are orice cusur rău, să nu îl sacrifici DOMNULUI Dumnezeul tău.
22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the clean [person shall eat it] alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.
Să îl mănânci înăuntrul porţilor tale, cel necurat şi cel curat deopotrivă, ca şi din căprioară şi din cerb.
23 Only thou shalt not eat its blood; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.
Numai să nu mănânci sângele lui; să îl verşi pe pământ, ca apa.
