< Daniel 12 >

1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Pea ʻi he kuonga ko ia ʻe tuʻu hake ʻa Maikeli, ʻae ʻEiki lahi, ʻaia ʻoku tokoni ki he fānau ʻa hoʻo kakai: pea ʻe hoko ha kuonga ʻoe mamahi, ʻaia naʻe ʻikai ʻaupito hano tatau talu mo e ʻi ai ha puleʻanga, ʻo aʻu ki he puleʻanga ko ia: pea ʻe fakahaofi hoʻo kakai ʻi he kuonga ko ia, ʻaia kotoa pē ʻe ʻiloʻi kuo tohi ʻi he tohi.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt.
Pea ʻē ʻā ʻae tokolahi ʻokinautolu ʻoku mohe ʻi he efu ʻo māmani, ko e niʻihi ki he moʻui taʻengata, mo e niʻihi ki he mā mo e manuki taʻengata.
3 And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Pea ko kinautolu ʻoku poto ʻe ngingila ʻo hangē ko e ulo ʻoe langi; pea ko kinautolu ʻoku fakatafokiʻi ʻae tokolahi ki he māʻoniʻoni, ʻo hangē ko e ngaahi fetuʻu, ʻo taʻengata pea taʻengata.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, [even] to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Ka ko koe, ʻe Taniela, ke ke tāpuni ʻae ngaahi lea mo fakamaʻu ʻae tohi, ʻo aʻu ki he kuonga ʻoe ngataʻanga: ʻe feʻaluʻaki fano pe ʻae tokolahi, pea ʻe tupu ʻae poto.
5 Then I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.
Pea ko au Taniela ne u sio, pea vakai, naʻe tutuʻu mai ʻae toko ua kehe, ko e tokotaha ʻi he kauvai ʻe taha ʻoe vaitafe, pea mo e tokotaha ʻi he kauvai ʻe taha ʻoe vaitafe.
6 And [one] said to the man clothed in linen, who [was] upon the waters of the river, How long [shall it be to] the end of these wonders?
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe he tokotaha ki he tangata naʻe kofuʻaki ʻae tupenu lelei, ʻaia naʻe ʻi he fukahi vai ʻoe vaitafe, “ʻE fēfē hono fuoloa pea hoko ʻae ngataʻanga ʻoe ngaahi meʻa fakaofo ni?”
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, who [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him that liveth for ever, that [it shall be] for a time, times, and a half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished.
Pea ne u fanongo ki he tangata naʻe kofuʻaki ʻae tupenu lelei, ʻaia naʻe ʻi he fukahi vai ʻoe vaitafe, ʻi heʻene hiki hake hono nima toʻomataʻu, mo hono toʻohema ki he langi, pea ne fuakava ʻiate ia ʻoku moʻui ʻo taʻengata, “ʻE fai ia ʻi ha kuonga mo e ngaahi kuonga, mo e vaeuamālieʻanga; pea ʻi heʻene lavaʻi ke movete ʻae mālohi ʻoe kakai māʻoniʻoni, ʻe toki fakaʻosi ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni kotoa pē.”
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what [shall be] the end of these [things]?
Pea ne u fanongo, ka naʻe ʻikai te u ʻilo: pea ne u pehē, “ʻE hoku ʻEiki, ko e hā hono ngataʻanga ʻoe ngaahi meʻa ni?”
9 And he said, Go thy way Daniel: for the words [are] closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Pea naʻa ne pehē mai, “Ke ke ʻalu koe Taniela: he kuo tāpuni mo fakamaʻu ʻae ngaahi lea, ʻo aʻu ki he kuonga ʻoe ngataʻanga.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
‌ʻE ʻi ai ʻae tokolahi ʻe fakamaʻa, mo fakahinehina, mo ʻahiʻahiʻi; ka e fai hala ʻae kau angahala: pea ʻe ʻikai ha niʻihi ʻi he kau angahala ʻe ʻilo; ka e ʻilo ʻe he kau poto.
11 And from the time [that] the daily [sacrifice] shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed [is] he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
‌ʻOku monūʻia ia ʻoku tatali, pea hoko ki he ngaahi ʻaho ʻe taha afe ma tolungeau, mā tolungofulu ma nima.
13 But go thou thy way till the end: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Ka ke ʻalu pe koe ʻi ho hala kaeʻoua ke hoko ʻae ngataʻanga: he te ke mālōlō pea te ke tuʻu ʻi ho lakanga ʻi he ngataʻanga ʻoe ngaahi ʻaho.”
