Acts 6
1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
තස්මින් සමයේ ශිෂ්‍යාණාං බාහුල්‍යාත් ප්‍රාත්‍යහිකදානස්‍ය විශ්‍රාණනෛ ර්භින්නදේශීයානාං විධවාස්ත්‍රීගණ උපේක්‍ෂිතේ සති ඉබ්‍රීයලෝකෛඃ සහාන්‍යදේශීයානාං විවාද උපාතිෂ්ඨත්|
2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
තදා ද්වාදශප්‍රේරිතාඃ සර්ව්වාන් ශිෂ්‍යාන් සංගෘහ්‍යාකථයන් ඊශ්වරස්‍ය කථාප්‍රචාරං පරිත්‍යජ්‍ය භෝජනගවේෂණම් අස්මාකම් උචිතං නහි|
3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
අතෝ හේ භ්‍රාතෘගණ වයම් ඒතත්කර්ම්මණෝ භාරං යේභ්‍යෝ දාතුං ශක්නුම ඒතාදෘශාන් සුඛ්‍යාත්‍යාපන්නාන් පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා ඥානේන ච පූර්ණාන් සප්ප්‍රජනාන් යූයං ස්වේෂාං මධ්‍යේ මනෝනීතාන් කුරුත,
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
කින්තු වයං ප්‍රාර්ථනායාං කථාප්‍රචාරකර්ම්මණි ච නිත්‍යප්‍රවෘත්තාඃ ස්ථාස්‍යාමඃ|
5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
ඒතස්‍යාං කථායාං සර්ව්වේ ලෝකාඃ සන්තුෂ්ටාඃ සන්තඃ ස්වේෂාං මධ්‍යාත් ස්තිඵානඃ ඵිලිපඃ ප්‍රඛරෝ නිකානෝර් තීමන් පර්ම්මිණා යිහූදිමතග්‍රාහී-ආන්තියඛියානගරීයෝ නිකලා ඒතාන් පරමභක්තාන් පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා පරිපූර්ණාන් සප්ත ජනාන්
6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid [their] hands on them.
ප්‍රේරිතානාං සමක්‍ෂම් ආනයන්, තතස්තේ ප්‍රාර්ථනාං කෘත්වා තේෂාං ශිරඃසු හස්තාන් ආර්පයන්|
7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
අපරඤ්ච ඊශ්වරස්‍ය කථා දේශං ව්‍යාප්නෝත් විශේෂතෝ යිරූශාලමි නගරේ ශිෂ්‍යාණාං සංඛ්‍යා ප්‍රභූතරූපේණාවර්ද්ධත යාජකානාං මධ්‍යේපි බහවඃ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටමතග්‍රාහිණෝ(අ)භවන්|
8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, performed great wonders and miracles among the people.
ස්තිඵානෝ විශ්වාසේන පරාක්‍රමේණ ච පරිපූර්ණඃ සන් ලෝකානාං මධ්‍යේ බහුවිධම් අද්භුතම් ආශ්චර‍්‍ය්‍යං කර්ම්මාකරෝත්|
9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called [the synagogue] of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia, and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
තේන ලිබර්ත්තිනීයනාම්නා විඛ්‍යාතසඞ්ඝස්‍ය කතිපයජනාඃ කුරීණීයසිකන්දරීය-කිලිකීයාශීයාදේශීයාඃ කියන්තෝ ජනාශ්චෝත්ථාය ස්තිඵානේන සාර්ද්ධං ව්‍යවදන්ත|
10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.
කින්තු ස්තිඵානෝ ඥානේන පවිත්‍රේණාත්මනා ච ඊදෘශීං කථාං කථිතවාන් යස්‍යාස්තේ ආපත්තිං කර්ත්තුං නාශක්නුවන්|
11 Then they suborned men, who said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and [against] God.
පශ්චාත් තෛ ර්ලෝභිතාඃ කතිපයජනාඃ කථාමේනාම් අකථයන්, වයං තස්‍ය මුඛතෝ මූසා ඊශ්වරස්‍ය ච නින්දාවාක්‍යම් අශ්‍රෞෂ්ම|
12 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon [him], and caught him, and brought [him] to the council,
තේ ලෝකානාං ලෝකප්‍රාචීනානාම් අධ්‍යාපකානාඤ්ච ප්‍රවෘත්තිං ජනයිත්වා ස්තිඵානස්‍ය සන්නිධිම් ආගත්‍ය තං ධෘත්වා මහාසභාමධ්‍යම් ආනයන්|
13 And set up false witnesses, who said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:
තදනන්තරං කතිපයජනේෂු මිථ්‍යාසාක්‍ෂිෂු සමානීතේෂු තේ(අ)කථයන් ඒෂ ජන ඒතත්පුණ්‍යස්ථානව්‍යවස්ථයෝ ර්නින්දාතඃ කදාපි න නිවර්ත්තතේ|
14 For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place, and will change the customs which Moses delivered to us.
ඵලතෝ නාසරතීයයීශුඃ ස්ථානමේතද් උච්ඡින්නං කරිෂ්‍යති මූසාසමර්පිතම් අස්මාකං ව්‍යවහරණම් අන්‍යරූපං කරිෂ්‍යති තස්‍යෛතාදෘශීං කථාං වයම් අශෘණුම|
15 And all that sat in the council, looking steadfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
තදා මහාසභාස්ථාඃ සර්ව්වේ තං ප්‍රති ස්ථිරාං දෘෂ්ටිං කෘත්වා ස්වර්ගදූතමුඛසදෘශං තස්‍ය මුඛම් අපශ්‍යන්|
