Acts 13

1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

೧ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಭೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ, ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಇದ್ದರು; ಅವರು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ; ಬಾರ್ನಬ, ನೀಗರನೆಂಬ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನ, ಕುರೇನ್ಯದ ಲೂಕ್ಯ, ಸಾಮಂತ ಹೆರೋದನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಮೆನಹೇನ, ಸೌಲ ಇವರೇ.

2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate for me Barnabas and Saul, for the work to which I have called them.

೨ಇವರು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು; “ನಾನು ಬಾರ್ನಬ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಲರನ್ನು ಕರೆದ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid [their] hands on them, they sent [them] away.

೩ಆಗ ಅವರು ಉಪವಾಸವಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಸ್ತಗಳನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

4 So they being sent forth by the Holy Spirit, departed to Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

೪ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿ ಸೆಲ್ಯೂಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು; ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವಾಗಿ ಕುಪ್ರದ್ವೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.

5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had also John for [their] minister.

೫ಸಲಮೀಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾರ್ಕನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಸಹಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದನು.

6 And when they had gone through the isle to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name [was] Barjesus:

೬ಅವರು ದ್ವೀಪದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಚಾರಮಾಡಿ ಪಾಫೋಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನ ತನಕ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳುಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ, ಮಂತ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ‘ಬಾರ್‍ಯೇಸು’ ಎಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು.

7 Who was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

೭ಅವನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪಾಲನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸೆರ್ಗ್ಯ ಪೌಲನೆಂಬ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಆ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬಾರ್ನಬ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆಸಿ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ ಪಟ್ಟನು.

8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

೮ಆದರೆ ಆ ಮಂತ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಎಲುಮನು (ಎಲುಮನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಮಂತ್ರವಾದಿಯೆಂದರ್ಥ) ಅವರನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿದನು; ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡದಂತೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದನು.

9 Then Saul (who also [is called] Paul) filled with the Holy Spirit, set his eyes on him,

೯ಆಗ ಪೌಲನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸೌಲನು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಭರಿತನಾಗಿ,

10 And said, O full of all subtilty, and all mischief, [thou] child of the devil, [thou] enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

೧೦ಅವನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿನೋಡಿ; “ಸೈತಾನನ ಮಗನೇ, ಮೋಸದಿಂದಲೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿರುವವನೇ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನೀತಿಗೂ ವಿರೋಧಿಯೇ, ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನ ನೇರವಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಡೊಂಕು ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?

11 And now behold, the hand of the Lord [is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

೧೧ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಕೈ ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನೀನು ಕುರುಡನಾಗಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲ ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೋಡದೆ ಇರುವಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು; ಅವನು ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಆಧಾರ ಕೊಡುವವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ತಿರುಗಾಡಿದನು.

12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

೧೨ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಆ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಬೋಧನೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು ನಂಬುವವನಾದನು.

13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia. And John departing from them, returned to Jerusalem.

೧೩ತರುವಾಯ ಪೌಲನೂ ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರೂ ಪಾಫೋಸೂರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಸಮುದ್ರಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಪಂಫುಲ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಪೆರ್ಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು; ಮಾರ್ಕನೆಂಬ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.

14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath, and sat down.

೧೪ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಪೆರ್ಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಚಾರಮಾಡಿ ಪಿಸಿದ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು.

15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Men, brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, speak.

೧೫ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಗ್ರಂಥ ಇವುಗಳ ಪಾರಾಯಣವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ನಾಯಕರು; “ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮಾತೇನಾದರೂ ನಿಮಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಹೇಳಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.

16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with [his] hand, said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.

೧೬ಆಗ ಪೌಲನು ಎದ್ದು ಕೈಸನ್ನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ;

17 The God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with a high arm he brought them out of it.

೧೭“ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರೇ, ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ಮತಾವಲಂಬಿಗಳೇ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರ ದೇವರು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಬಲರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ತಂದು ತನ್ನ ಭುಜಬಲದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು.

18 And about the time of forty years he suffered their manners in the wilderness.

೧೮ಆತನು ಸುಮಾರು ನಲವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು,

19 And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he divided their land to them by lot.

೧೯ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳ ಏಳು ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಿ, ಆ ಜನರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವತ್ತಾಗಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

20 And after that he gave [to them] judges, about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.

೨೦ಇಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು ನಾನೂರೈವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಗತಿಸಿದವು. ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಸಮುವೇಲನ ಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave to them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.

೨೧ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ತಮಗೆ ಅರಸನು ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನ ಕುಲದ ಕೀಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ರಾಜನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಲವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು.

22 And when he had removed him, he raised up to them David to be their king: to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the [son] of Jesse, a man after my own heart, who shall fulfill all my will.

೨೨ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಮಾಡಿ; ‘ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ನನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದನು, ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು, ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವನು’ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಅವನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಹೇಳಿದನು.

23 Of this man's offspring hath God, according to [his] promise, raised up to Israel a Savior, Jesus:

೨೩“ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನದಿಂದ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ರಕ್ಷಕನನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

24 John having first preached, before his coming, the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

೨೪ಆ ರಕ್ಷಕನೇ ಯೇಸು, ಆತನ ಆಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ಯೋಹಾನನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ, ನೀವು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪದ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಾರಿದನು.

25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not [he]. But behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of [his] feet I am not worthy to loose.

೨೫ಯೋಹಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಜನರಿಗೆ; ‘ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ? ನಾನು ಆತನಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆತನ ಪಾದರಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

26 Men, brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

೨೬“ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ವಂಶಸ್ಥರೇ, ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯಮತಾವಲಂಬಿಗಳೇ, ನಮಗೆ ಈ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the words of the prophets which are read every sabbath, they have fulfilled [them] in condemning [him].

೨೭ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವವರೂ, ಅವರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೂ, ಆತನನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರಾಯಣವಾಗುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಗ್ರಹಿಸದೆ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡಿ ಆ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೇ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.

28 And though they found no cause of death [in him], yet they desired Pilate that he should be put to death.

೨೮ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವೇನೂ ತಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪಿಲಾತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.

29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning him, they took [him] down from the tree, and laid [him] in a sepulcher.

೨೯ಆತನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಮರದ ಕಂಬದಿಂದ ಇಳಿಸಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟರು.

30 But God raised him from the dead:

೩೦“ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದನು.

31 And he was seen many days by them who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people.

೩೧ಮತ್ತು ಆತನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಿಂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದವರಿಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಈಗ ಅವರು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

32 And we declare to you the glad tidings, that the promise which was made to the fathers,

೩೨“ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆಂಬ ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ನಾವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾರುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆತನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ;

33 God hath fulfilled the same to us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

೩೩‘ನನಗೆ ನೀನು ಮಗನು, ನಾನೇ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ’ ಎಂದು ಎರಡನೆಯ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಮಾತು ನೆರವೇರಿತು.

34 And as concerning that he raised him from the dead, [now] no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.

೩೪“ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಕೊಳೆಯುವ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಸೇರತಕ್ಕವನಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತು ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿರುವುದು ಏನೆಂದರೆ; ‘ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿದ ಕೃಪಾವರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಅವು ನಂಬತಕ್ಕವುಗಳೇ’ ಎಂಬುದೆ.

35 Wherefore he saith also in another [psalm], Thou wilt not suffer thy Holy One to see corruption.

೩೫ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಆತನು; ‘ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯನಿಗೆ ಕೊಳೆಯುವ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಗೊಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು’ ಬೇರೊಂದು ಕೀರ್ತನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was laid to his fathers, and saw corruption:

೩೬“ದಾವೀದನಾದರೋ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಕ್ಕನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ, ಸತ್ತಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಜರ ಬಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು, ಅವನ ದೇಹವು ಕೊಳೆಯುವ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿತು.

37 But he whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

೩೭ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ಯೇಸುವು ಕೊಳೆಯುವ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

38 Be it known to you therefore, men, brethren, that through this man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins;

೩೮“ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಆತನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಕ್ಷಮಾಪಣೆಯು ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾರೋಣವಾಗಿತ್ತೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿ.

39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

೩೯ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀವು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇದ್ದಿರಿ. ಆದರೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆತನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಹೊಂದಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರೆನಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.

40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you which is spoken in the prophets;

೪೦ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿರುವುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಆದೇನಂದರೆ;

41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye will in no wise believe, though a man declare it to you.

೪೧“‘ಎಲೈ, ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವವರೇ, ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಡಿರಿ, ನಾಶವಾಗಿಹೋಗಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಒಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರೂ ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೂ ನಂಬುವುದಿಲ್ಲ’” ಎಂಬುದೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

42 And when the Jews had gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

೪೨ಪೌಲನೂ, ಬಾರ್ನಬನೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಜನರು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರುವ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.

43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

೪೩ಸಭೆಯು ಮುಗಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ, ದೈವಭಕ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ಮತಾವಲಂಬಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಪೌಲ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾರ್ನಬನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪಾಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

44 And the next sabbath came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

೪೪ಮುಂದಿನ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಇಡೀ ಊರಿನವರು ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಬಂದರು.

45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spoke against those things which were uttered by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

೪೫ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಗುಂಪುಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಬರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಮತ್ಸರವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಪೌಲನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ದೂಷಣೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.

46 Then Paul and Barnabas became bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first be spoken to you: but seeing ye reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)

೪೬ಆಗ ಪೌಲನೂ, ಬಾರ್ನಬನೂ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ; ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ನಿಮಗೇ ಹೇಳುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಾತ್ರರೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅನ್ಯಜನರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ. (aiōnios g166)

47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, [saying], I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldst be for salvation to the ends of the earth.

೪೭ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ; ನೀನು ಲೋಕದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಕನಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದರು.

48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life, believed. (aiōnios g166)

೪೮ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅನ್ಯಜನರು ಆ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು, ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿದರು. ಮತ್ತು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಂಬಿದರು. (aiōnios g166)

49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

೪೯ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಆ ಸೀಮೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಬ್ಬುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿತು.

50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honorable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their borders.

೫೦ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮತಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದ ಭಕ್ತೆಯರಾದ ಕುಲೀನ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನೂ, ಊರಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಖರನ್ನೂ, ಹುರಿದುಂಬಿಸಿ ಪೌಲ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾರ್ನಬರ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಆಚೆಗೆ ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came to Iconium.

೫೧ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಝಾಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇಕೋನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.

52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

೫೨ಶಿಷ್ಯರಾದವರು ಸಂತೋಷಭರಿತರೂ, ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಭರಿತರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು.
