< 2 Samuel 8 >
1 And after this it came to pass, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Metheg-ammah out of the hand of the Philistines.
此後ダビデ、ペリシテ人を撃てこれを服すダビデまたペリシテ人の手よりメテグアンマをとれり
2 And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines he measured to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And [so] the Moabites became David's servants, [and] brought gifts.
ダビデまたモアブを撃ち彼らをして地に伏しめ繩をもてかれらを度れり即ち二條の繩をもて死す者を度り一條の繩をもて生しおく者を量度るモアブ人は貢物を納てダビデの臣僕となれり
3 David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.
ダビデまたレホブの子なるゾバの王ハダデゼルがユフラテ河の邊にて其勢を新にせんとて往るを撃り
4 And David took from him a thousand [chariots], and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot -[horses], but reserved of them [for] a hundred chariots.
しかしてダビデ彼より騎兵千七百人歩兵二萬人を取りまたダビデ一百の車の馬を存して其餘の車馬は皆其筋を切斷り
5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succor Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.
ダマスコのスリア人ゾバの王ハダデゼルを援んとて來りければダビデ、スリア人二萬二千を殺せり
6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, [and] brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
しかしてダビデ、ダマスコのスリアに代官を置きぬスリア人は貢物を納てダビデの臣僕となれりヱホバ、ダビデを凡て其往く所にて助けたまへり
7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
ダビデ、ハダデゼルの臣僕等の持る金の楯を奪ひてこれをエルサレムに携きたる
8 And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took very much brass.
ダビデ王又ハダデゼルの邑ベタとベロタより甚だ多くの銅を取り
9 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,
時にハマテの王トイ、ダビデがハダデゼルの總の軍を撃破りしを聞て
10 Then Toi sent Joram his son to king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: (for Hadadezer had wars with Toi) and [Joram] brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:
トイ其子ヨラムをダビデ王につかはし安否を問ひかつ祝を宣しむ其はハダデゼル嘗てトイと戰を爲したるにダビデ、ハダデゼルとたたかひてこれを撃やぶりたればなりヨラム銀の器と金の器と銅の器を携へ來りければ
11 Which also king David dedicated to the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;
ダビデ王其攻め伏せたる諸の國民の中より取りて納めたる金銀と共に是等をもヱホバに納めたり
12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
即ちエドムよりモアブよりアンモンの子孫よりペリシテ人よりアマレクよりえたる物およびゾバの王レホブの子ハダデゼルより得たる掠取物とともにこれを納めたり
13 And David made [him] a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of Salt, [being] eighteen thousand [men].
ダビデ鹽谷にてエドム人一萬八千を撃て歸て名譽を得たり
14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom he put garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
ダビデ、エドムに代官を置り即ちエドムの全地に徧く代官を置てエドム人は皆ダビデの臣僕となれりヱホバ、ダビデを凡て其往くところにて助け給へり
15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice to all his people.
ダビデ、イスラエルの全地を治め其民に公道と正義を行ふ
16 And Joab the son of Zeruiah [was] over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud [was] recorder;
ゼルヤの子ヨアブは軍の長アヒルデの子ヨシヤバテは史官
17 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, [were] the priests: and Seraiah [was] the scribe;
アヒトブの子ザドクとアビヤタルの子アヒメレクは祭司セラヤは書記官
18 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada [was over] both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers.
ヱホヤダの子ベナヤはケレテ人およびペレテ人の長ダビデの子等は大臣なりき
