2 Kings 20
1 In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
੧ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਆਮੋਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਪਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਚੇਂਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying,
੨ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਕੰਧ ਵੱਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਫੇਰ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done [that which is] good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept grievously.
੩ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਖਰਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਭੁੱਬਾਂ ਮਾਰ-ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਰੋਇਆ।
4 And it came to pass, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
੪ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up to the house of the LORD.
੫ਕਿ ਮੁੜ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਵੇਖ ਲਏ ਹਨ। ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ।
6 And I will add to thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
੬ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਦਰਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
7 And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid [it] on the boil, and he recovered.
੭ਤਾਂ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਲੁਪਰੀ ਲਓ। ਸੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਫੋੜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
8 And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, What [shall be] the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?
੮ਫੇਰ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ?
9 And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?
੯ਤਦ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਪਰਛਾਵਾਂ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਅਗਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਏ ਜਾਂ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਪਿਛਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੇ?
10 And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten degrees: no, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.
੧੦ਤਾਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਛਾਵੇਂ ਦਾ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਅਗਾਹਾਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਤਾਂ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਪਰਛਾਵਾਂ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਪਿਛਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੇ।
11 And Isaiah the prophet cried to the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.
੧੧ਫਿਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਸੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਛਾਵੇਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਦੀ ਧੁੱਪ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਢੱਲ਼ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਸੀ, ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
12 At that time Berodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.
੧੨ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਬਲਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਰੋਦਕ-ਬਲਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਗ਼ਾਤ ਭੇਜੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
13 And Hezekiah hearkened to them, and showed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and [all] the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah showed them not.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਤੋਸ਼ਾ-ਖ਼ਾਨਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ, ਚਾਂਦੀ, ਸੋਨਾ, ਮਸਾਲਾ, ਖ਼ਾਲਸ ਤੇਲ, ਆਪਣਾ ਸ਼ਸਤਰ-ਖ਼ਾਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ।
14 Then came Isaiah the prophet to king Hezekiah, and said to him, What said these men? and from whence came they to thee? And Hezekiah said, They have come from a far country [even] from Babylon.
੧੪ਤਦ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਹਨ? ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਾਬਲ ਤੋਂ।
15 And he said, What have they seen in thy house? And Hezekiah answered, All [the things] that [are] in my house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.
੧੫ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ-ਕੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ? ਤਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਿਆਂ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਖਾਈ।
16 And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the LORD.
੧੬ਤਦ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਲੈ!
17 Behold, the days come, that all that [is] in thy house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store to this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.
੧੭ਵੇਖ ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
18 And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
੧੮ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਿਆਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮਣਗੇ, ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਓਹ ਲੈ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸਰੇ ਬਣਨਗੇ।
19 Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good [is] the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, [Is it] not [good], if peace and truth shall be in my days?
੧੯ਅੱਗੋਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਨ ਰਹੇਗਾ?
20 And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made a pool, and a conduit, and brought water into the city, [are] they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
੨੦ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਤਲਾਬ ਤੇ ਨਾਲੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ?
21 And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
੨੧ਸੋ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
