< 2 Chronicles 31 >
1 Now when all this was finished, all Israel [that were] present went out to the cities of Judah, and broke the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned every man to his possession into their own cities.
Ebyo byonna bwe byaggwa, Abayisirayiri bonna abaaliyo ne bagenda mu bibuga bya Yuda, ne baasaayasa amayinja agaasinzibwanga, ne bamenyaamenya n’empagi za Baasera. Ne basaanyizaawo ddala ebifo ebigulumivu n’ebyoto ebyali mu Yuda, ne mu Benyamini, ne mu Efulayimu ne mu Manase. Awo Abayisirayiri bwe baamala okubisaanyaawo byonna, ne baddayo mu bibuga byabwe, ku butaka bwabwe.
2 And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt-offerings and for peace-offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD.
Keezeekiya n’addira bakabona n’Abaleevi n’abassa mu bibinja, buli omu ng’obuweereza bwe bwali, oba kabona oba muleevi, okuwangayo ebiweebwayo ebyokebwa n’ebiweebwayo olw’emirembe okuweerezanga, n’okwebazanga, n’okutenderezanga ku nzigi eza yeekaalu ya Mukama.
3 [He appointed] also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt-offerings, [to wit], for the morning and evening burnt-offerings, and the burnt-offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new-moons, and for the set feasts, as [it is] written in the law of the LORD.
Kabaka n’awaayo ku byobugagga bwe ebiweebwayo ebyokebwa eby’enkya n’eby’akawungeezi, n’ebiweebwayo ebyokebwa ebya ssabbiiti, n’eby’emyezi egyakaboneka, n’assaawo n’embaga ezaalagirwa nga bwe kyawandiikibwa mu tteeka lya Mukama.
4 Moreover, he commanded the people that dwelt in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might be encouraged in the law of the LORD.
N’alagira abantu abaabeeranga mu Yerusaalemi okuwangayo omugabo nga bwe kyali kibagwanira eri bakabona n’Abaleevi, nabo beeweerengayo ddala nga bwe kyalagirwa mu tteeka lya Mukama.
5 And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the first-fruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all [things] they brought in abundantly.
Awo ekiragiro ekyo bwe kyabuna wonna, amangwago Abayisirayiri ne bawaayo ku bibala byabwe ebibereberye bingi eby’eŋŋaano, n’ebya wayini omusu, n’eby’amafuta, n’eby’omubisi gw’enjuki ne ku ebyo byonna ebyava mu nnimiro. Ne baleeta bingi nnyo, ekitundu eky’ekkumi ku buli kintu.
6 And the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated to the LORD their God, and laid [them] by heaps.
Abantu ba Isirayiri ne Yuda abaabeeranga mu bibuga bya Yuda, nabo ne baleeta ekimu eky’ekkumi ku nte n’endiga, n’ekimu eky’ekkumi eky’ebintu ebyatukuzibwa ebyayawulirwa Mukama Katonda waabwe, ne babituuma entuumo.
7 In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished [them] in the seventh month.
Baatandika okutuuma ebintu ebyo entuumo mu mwezi ogwokusatu ne bamaliriza mu mwezi ogw’omusanvu.
8 And when Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD, and his people Israel.
Awo Keezeekiya n’abakungu be, bwe bajja ne balaba entuumo ne beebaza Mukama, ne basabira n’abantu be, Isirayiri, omukisa.
9 Then Hezekiah questioned with the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.
Keezeekiya n’abuuza bakabona n’Abaleevi ebikwata ku ntuumu.
10 And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since [the people] began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left [is] this great abundance.
Azaliya kabona asinga obukulu ow’omu nnyumba ya Zadooki n’amuddamu nti, “Okuva abantu lwe baatandika okuleeta ebirabo byabwe mu yeekaalu ya Mukama, tubadde n’ebyokulya ebiwera n’ebirala ne bifikkawo, kubanga Mukama awadde abantu be omukisa, n’ebifisseewo bye bino obungi.”
11 Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared [them],
Awo Keezeekiya n’alagira bateeketeeke amaterekero mu yeekaalu ya Mukama, ne bagateekateeka.
12 And brought in the offerings and the tithes, and the dedicated [things] faithfully: over which Conaniah the Levite [was] ruler, and Shimei his brother [was] the next.
Ne balyoka baleeta ebirabo, ebintu eby’ekimu eky’ekkumi, n’ebintu ebyatukuzibwa. Konaniya Omuleevi ye yavunaanyizibwanga ebintu ebyo, ate nga Simeeyi muganda we ye mumyuka we.
13 And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, [were] overseers under the hand of Conaniah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.
Yekyeri, ne Azaziya, ne Nakasi, ne Asakeri, ne Yerimosi, Yozabadi, ne Eryeri, ne Isumakiya, ne Makasi ne Benaya be baabayambangako. Konaniya ne Simeeyi muganda we, baalondebwa Kabaka Keezeekiya ne Azaliya omukungu omukulu eyavunaanyizibwanga yeekaalu ya Katonda.
14 And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter towards the east, [was] over the free-will-offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy things.
Kole mutabani wa Imuna Omuleevi, omuggazi w’omulyango ogw’ebuvanjuba, ye yavunaanyizibwanga ebyo bye baawangayo eri Katonda ku bwabwe awatali kuwalirizibwa, ng’agabanyamu ebyatonebwanga eri Mukama, n’ebirabo ebyayawulibwanga.
15 And next him [were] Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in [their] set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small:
Edene, ne Miniyamini, ne Yesuwa, ne Semaaya, ne Amaliya ne Sekaniya, be baamuyambangako n’obwesigwa mu bibuga bya bakabona okugabiranga bakabona bannaabwe ng’ebibinja byabwe bwe byali, abakulu n’abato.
16 Besides their genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, [even] to every one that entereth into the house of the LORD, his daily portion for their service in their charges according to their courses;
Ate era baagabiranga n’abalenzi ab’emyaka esatu n’okukirawo abaali babalibbwa ng’okuzaalibwa kwe mbala bwe kwalinga, abo bonna abayingiranga mu yeekaalu ya Mukama okutuukirizanga emirimu gyabwe nga bwe kyabagwaniranga, mu bibinja byabwe.
17 Both to the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their charges, by their courses;
Ne bagabiranga ne bakabona abaabalibwa ng’enzaalwa mu kubala okw’okuzaalibwa kwabwe bwe kwali, n’Abaleevi abaali ab’emyaka amakumi abiri n’okukirawo ne babagabira ng’eby’obuvunaanyizibwa bwabwe mu bibinja byabwe bwe byali.
18 And to the genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their set office they sanctified themselves in holiness:
Omwo mwe mwali abaana abato, n’abakyala, ne batabani baabwe, ne bawala baabwe ng’ebitundu byabwe bwe byali biwandiikiddwa mu byafaayo eby’okuzaalibwa. Ne babeera beesigwa mu kwekuuma nga batukuvu.
19 Also of the sons of Aaron the priests, [who were] in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned by genealogies among the Levites.
Bazzukulu ba Alooni, bakabona abaabeeranga ku ttaka okwalimibwanga, eryabanga ery’ebibuga byabwe, mu buli kibuga, buli musajja mu bo yaweebwa omugabo, n’abo bonna abaali bawandiikiddwa mu byafaayo eby’okuzaalibwa kw’Abaleevi, nabo ne bagabana.
20 And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and performed [that which was] good and right and truth before the LORD his God.
Bw’atyo Keezeekiya bwe yakola ne mu Yuda yonna, n’akola ebirungi era ebituufu n’obwesigwa mu maaso ga Mukama Katonda we.
21 And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did [it] with all his heart, and prospered.
Buli mulimu gwe yatandika mu buweereza mu yeekaalu ya Katonda, ng’agoberera amateeka n’ebiragiro, yanoonyanga Katonda we, era n’akolanga n’omutima gwe gwonna, n’alaba omukisa.
