< 1 Timothy 6 >

1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and [his] doctrine may not be blasphemed.
Jẹ́ kí gbogbo àwọn tí i ṣe ẹrú lábẹ́ ìsìnrú máa ka àwọn olówó tí ó ni wọ́n yẹ sí ọlá gbogbo, kí a má bà á sọ̀rọ̀-òdì sí orúkọ Ọlọ́run àti ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ̀.
2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise [them], because they are brethren; but rather do [them] service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
Àwọn ti ó ní ọ̀gá onígbàgbọ́, kí wọn má ṣe ṣàìbọ̀wọ̀ fún wọn nítorí tí wọn jẹ́ arákùnrin; ṣùgbọ́n kí wọn túbọ̀ máa sìn wọ́n, nítorí àwọn tí í ṣe alábápín iṣẹ́ rere wọn jẹ́ onígbàgbọ́ àti olùfẹ́. Nǹkan wọ̀nyí ni kí ó máa kọ́ ni, kí o sì máa fi gbani níyànjú.
3 If any man teacheth otherwise, and consenteth not to wholesome words, [even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine which is according to godliness,
Bí ẹnikẹ́ni bá ń kọ́ni ní ẹ̀kọ́ mìíràn, ti kò sì gba ọ̀rọ̀ ti ó yè kooro, ti Jesu Kristi Olúwa wa, àti ẹ̀kọ́ ti ó bá ìwà-bí-Ọlọ́run mu,
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, from which cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
Ó gbéraga, kò mọ̀ nǹkan kan, bí kò ṣe ìyànjú àti ìjà nípa ọ̀rọ̀ èyí tí ó ń mú ìlara, ìjà, ọ̀rọ̀ búburú wá,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing gain to be godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
àti ọ̀rọ̀ àríyànjiyàn àwọn ènìyàn ọlọ́kàn èérí ti kò sí òtítọ́ nínú wọn, tiwọn ṣe bí ọ̀nà sí èrè ni ìwà-bí-Ọlọ́run; yẹra lọ́dọ̀ irú àwọn wọ̀nyí.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
Ṣùgbọ́n ìwà-bí-Ọlọ́run pẹ̀lú ìtẹ́lọ́rùn èrè ńlá ni.
7 For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and it is] certain we can carry nothing out.
Nítorí a kò mú ohun kan wá sí ayé, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kò sì lè mu ohunkóhun jáde lọ.
8 And having food and raiment, with these let us be content.
Bí a sì ni oúnjẹ àti aṣọ, ìwọ̀nyí yẹ́ kí ó tẹ́ wa lọ́rùn.
9 But they that will be rich, fall into temptation, and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn tí ń fẹ́ di ọlọ́rọ̀ a máa bọ́ sínú ìdánwò àti ìdẹ̀kùn, àti sínú òmùgọ̀ ìfẹ́kúfẹ̀ẹ́ púpọ̀ tí í pa ni lára, irú èyí tí ó máa ń ri ènìyàn sínú ìparun àti ègbé.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some have coveted, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Nítorí ìfẹ́ owó ni gbòǹgbò ohun búburú gbogbo; èyí tí àwọn mìíràn ń lépa tí a sì mú wọn ṣìnà kúrò nínú ìgbàgbọ́, wọ́n sì fi ọ̀pọ̀ ìbànújẹ́ gún ara wọn lọ́kọ̀.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee from these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ ènìyàn Ọlọ́run, sá fún nǹkan wọ̀nyí; kí ó sì máa lépa òdodo, ìwà-bí-Ọlọ́run, ìgbàgbọ́, ìfẹ́ sùúrù, ìwà tútù.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (aiōnios g166)
Máa ja ìjà rere ti ìgbàgbọ́, di ìyè àìnípẹ̀kun mú nínú èyí tí a pè ọ sí, ti ìwọ sì ṣe ìjẹ́wọ́ rere níwájú ẹlẹ́rìí púpọ̀. (aiōnios g166)
13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who maketh alive all things, and [before] Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate testified a good confession;
Mo pàṣẹ fún ọ níwájú Ọlọ́run, tí ń sọ ohun gbogbo di ààyè, àti níwájú Jesu Kristi, ẹni tí ó jẹ́rìí níwájú Pọntiu Pilatu,
14 That thou keep [this] commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
kí ìwọ pa àṣẹ wọ̀nyí mọ́ ní àìlábàwọ́n, ní àìlẹ́gàn, títí di ìfarahàn Olúwa wa Jesu Kristi.
15 Which in his times he will show [who is] the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
Èyí ti yóò fihàn ní ìgbà tirẹ̀, Ẹni tí í ṣe Olùbùkún àti Alágbára kan ṣoṣo náà, ọba àwọn ọba, àti Olúwa àwọn Olúwa.
16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honor and power everlasting. Amen. (aiōnios g166)
Ẹnìkan ṣoṣo tí ó jẹ àìkú, tí ń gbé inú ìmọ́lẹ̀ tí a kò lè súnmọ́, ẹni tí ènìyàn kan kò rí rí, tí a kò sì lè rí: ẹni tí ọlá àti agbára títí láé ń ṣe tirẹ̀. Àmín. (aiōnios g166)
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; (aiōn g165)
Kìlọ̀ fún àwọn tí ó lọ́rọ̀ ní ayé ìsinsin yìí kí wọn ma ṣe gbéraga, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí wọn má ṣe gbẹ́kẹ̀lé ọ̀rọ̀ àìdánilójú, bí kò ṣe lé Ọlọ́run alààyè, tí ń fi ohun gbogbo fún wa lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀ láti lò; (aiōn g165)
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
kí wọn máa ṣoore, kí wọn máa pọ̀ ní iṣẹ́ rere, kí wọn múra láti pín fún ni, kí wọn ni ẹ̀mí ìbá kẹ́dùn;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
kí wọn máa to ìṣúra ìpìlẹ̀ rere jọ fún ara wọn dé ìgbà tí ń bọ̀, kí wọn lè di ìyè tòótọ́ mú.
20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane [and] vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called;
Timotiu, máa ṣọ ohun tí a fi sí ìkáwọ́ rẹ, yà kúrò nínú ọ̀rọ̀ asán àti ìjiyàn ohun tí a ń fi èké pè ni ìmọ̀;
21 Which some professing, have erred concerning the faith. Grace [be] with thee. Amen.
èyí tí àwọn ẹlòmíràn jẹ́wọ́ rẹ̀ tí wọ́n sì ṣìnà ìgbàgbọ́. Kí oore-ọ̀fẹ́ wà pẹ̀lú rẹ.
