< 1 Timothy 2 >
1 I exhort therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks be made for all men;
Mʼafotuo ne sɛ, deɛ ɛdi ɛkan no, mehyɛ mo sɛ monsrɛ, mommɔ mpaeɛ, mommisa na monna Onyankopɔn ase mma nnipa nyinaa;
2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
monyɛ saa ara mma ahemfo ne wɔn a tumi hyɛ wɔn nsa nyinaa na yɛatumi atena ase asomdwoeɛ mu wɔ onyamesom ne suban pa mu.
3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
Yei yɛ, na ɛsɔ Onyankopɔn a ɔyɛ Agyenkwa a
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
ɔpɛ sɛ wɔgye nnipa nyinaa nkwa na wɔhunu nokorɛ no ani.
5 For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Onyankopɔn baako ne ntamgyinafoɔ baako a ɔka Onyankopɔn ne nnipa bom no, ɔno ne Kristo Yesu no.
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Ɔno na ɔde ne ho bɔɔ afɔdeɛ de gyee nnipa nyinaa nkwa no. Yei yɛ adansedie a ɛbaa ɛberɛ a ɛsɛ mu sɛ Onyankopɔn pɛ sɛ wɔgye nnipa nyinaa nkwa.
7 For which I am ordained a preacher and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, [and] lie not) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
Ɛno enti na wɔsomaa me sɛ ɔsomafoɔ ne amanamanmufoɔ ɔkyerɛkyerɛfoɔ sɛ menni gyidie ne nokorɛ no ho adanseɛ. Merenni atorɔ, mereka nokorɛ!
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Mehwehwɛ sɛ nnipa a wɔwɔ ewiase afanan nyinaa de akoma a emu teɛ bɛma wɔn nsa so, na wɔabɔ mpaeɛ.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in decent apparel, with modesty and sobriety; not with broidered hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array,
Afei, mehwehwɛ sɛ mmaa bɛbrɛ wɔn ho ase na wɔafa ɛkwan a ɛfata so asiesie wɔn ho. Ma wɔmmɔ wɔn ti sɛ mmaa ahobrɛasefoɔ; mma wɔmmfa sika anaa adwinneɛ anaa ntadeɛ a ne boɔ yɛ den nsiesie wɔn ho.
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Na mmom, ɛsɛ sɛ wɔda adwuma pa a ɛfata mmaa adi sɛ mmaa a wɔyɛ nyamesomfoɔ.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
Ɛsɛ sɛ mmaa de kommyɛ ne ahobrɛaseɛ sua adeɛ.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
Memma mmaa ho ɛkwan sɛ wɔnkyerɛkyerɛ anaasɛ wɔnnya mmarima so tumi. Ɛsɛ sɛ wɔyɛ komm.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
Ɛfiri sɛ, wɔbɔɔ Adam ansa na wɔrebɔ Hawa.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Na ɛnyɛ Adam na wɔdaadaa no. Ɔbaa no na wɔdaadaa no ma ɛnam so maa ɔbuu Onyankopɔn mmara so.
15 Notwithstanding, she will be saved in child-bearing, if they continue in faith, and charity, and holiness, with sobriety.
Na sɛ ɔbaa tena ase gyidie, ɔdɔ, kronnyɛ ne ahobrɛaseɛ mu a ɔbɛwo asomdwoeɛ mu.
