< 1 Thessalonians 2 >
1 For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance to you, that it was not in vain:
Mobanse, amwe mobene mucinshi kwambeti kufwakasha kwetu kwalikuba kwaina.
2 But even after we had suffered before, and were shamefully treated, as ye know, at Phillippi, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much contention.
Mucinshi mbuli bantu baku Filipi ncobalatupensha nekutusebanya, katutana kwisa ku Tesalonika. Necikabeco Lesa walatuyumisha moyo mpaka twalacikosha kumukambaukila Mulumbe Waina weshikufuma kulyendiye nambi bangi balikutoteka.
3 For our exhortation [was] not from deceit, nor from impurity, nor in guile;
Pakwinga mbyetwalikukambauka nkatwalasebensesha miyeyo yaipa nambi kuyanda kubepa bantu sobwe.
4 But as we were allowed by God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who trieth our hearts.
Nsombi tukute kukambauka mbuli Lesa ncakute kuyandeti twinse, pakwinga Lesa walatusuminisha kwambeti twelela kupewa mulimo wakukambauka Mulumbe Waina. Nkatuleleshenga kukondwelesha bantu sobwe, nsombi kukondwelesha Lesa uyo ukute kwinshiba miyeyo yetu.
5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God [is] witness:
Mucinshi cena kwambeti nkatwalesa kulinjamwe ne maswi akuyanda kumukondwelesha nambi kwambeti tucaninepo pindu kulinjamwe, Lesa ekamboni wetu.
6 Nor from men sought we glory, neither from you, nor [yet] from others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
Nkatwalayanda kulumbwa ne muntu uliyense nambi amwe, nambi bambi,
7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:
cakubinga mpotwalasenga lunyamfo netukaba batumwa ba Yesu Klistu twalalibombelesha pakumusenga bintu mbuli mushali mutukashi ncakute kulama cena banabendi.
8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted to you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear to us.
Pacebo cakumusunishisha twalikuba twalibambila kumuyabila Mulumbe Waina weshi kufuma kuli Lesa kayi ne buyumi bwetu. Pakwinga mwalikuba mwasunika kulinjafwe.
9 For ye remember, brethren, our labor and toil: for laboring night and day, because we would not be chargeable to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.
Mobanse mwengashila cena mbuli ncotwalasebensa cangofu pakati penu, twalasebensa munshi ne mashiku kwambeti tutamupensha mubintu mbyotwalikuyanda kusebensesha mpotwali kumukambaukila Mulumbe Waina wa Lesa.
10 Ye [are] witnesses, and God [also], how holily, and justly, and unblamably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
Njamwe bakamboni betu pamo ne Lesa, kwambeti bwikalo bwetu pakati penu amwe bashoma bwalikuba bwaswepa, bwalululama kayi bwabula kampenda.
11 As ye know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father [doth] his children,
Lino mucinshi kwambeti twalikushako mano kuli uliyense pakati penu mbuli mushali mutuloba ncakute kulama banabendi.
12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you into his kingdom and glory.
Twalamuyuminisha ne kumutontosha myoyo, kayi ne kumwambila cangofu kwambeti mwelela kuba ne bwikalo bwakukondwelesha Lesa, uyo lamukunga kwambeti mukengile mu Bwami bwabulemu bwakendi.
13 For this cause also we thank God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard from us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of men, but (as it is in truth) the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
Nomba kuli cebo nacimbi cikute kupesheti tulumbaishe Lesa. Mpotwalamuletela Mulumbe Waina mwalaukutika nekusumina.
14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things from your own countrymen, even as they [have] from the Jews:
Mobanse, bintu bimobimo byalamwinshikila byalenshikila kumibungano ya Lesa ili muli Yesu Klistu yaku Yudeya. Nomba bantu bakucomwenu balamupensha mbuli Bayuda ncebalapensha baklistu baku Yudeya.
15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
Abo balashina Mwami Yesu ne bashinshimi balikubako kaindi, kayi ebalatupensha. Aba nkabakute kukondwelesha Lesa sobwe, kayi ebapelana ne bantu bonse.
16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
Balelesha kutukanisha kukambuka Mulumbe Waina kubantu ba kunsa kwambeti batambule lupulusho. Neco balalibunjikila bwipishi bwabo bonse cakwambeti bukalu bwa Lesa bulabashikili.
17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.
Mobanse necikabeti twalapansana nenjamwe kwa kacindi cing'ana kumubili nsombi mumiyeyo tuli pamo, twalikuyandishisha kwambeti tukabonane menso ne menso. Nambi twalamushiya myoyo yetu yalikubowa nenjamwe.
18 Wherefore we would have come to you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
Ecebo cakendi twalikuyandishisha kubwelela kwisa kumubona, ame ndalelekesha kwisa kayi nteko kankanda kamowa nsombi tubili, nomba Satana walatabankana panshila.
19 For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
Anu kupembelela kwetu nicani? Inga kukondwa kwetu nicani? Kayi ne cilambo cetu nicani ncetwelela kutwangila Mwami wetu akesa? Sena ntamwe?
20 For ye are our glory and joy.
Cakubinga bulemu bwetu nekukondwa kwetu njamwe.
