1 Peter 4
1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
அஸ்மாகம்’ விநிமயேந க்²ரீஷ்ட: ஸ²ரீரஸம்ப³ந்தே⁴ த³ண்ட³ம்’ பு⁴க்தவாந் அதோ ஹேதோ: ஸ²ரீரஸம்ப³ந்தே⁴ யோ த³ண்ட³ம்’ பு⁴க்தவாந் ஸ பாபாத் முக்த
2 That he no longer should live the rest of [his] time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
இதிபா⁴வேந யூயமபி ஸுஸஜ்ஜீபூ⁴ய தே³ஹவாஸஸ்யாவஸி²ஷ்டம்’ ஸமயம்’ புநர்மாநவாநாம் இச்சா²ஸாத⁴நார்த²ம்’ நஹி கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரஸ்யேச்சா²ஸாத⁴நார்த²ம்’ யாபயத|
3 For the time past of [our] life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revelings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
ஆயுஷோ ய: ஸமயோ வ்யதீதஸ்தஸ்மிந் யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்யத்³ தே³வபூஜகாநாம் இச்சா²ஸாத⁴நம்’ காமகுத்ஸிதாபி⁴லாஷமத்³யபாநரங்க³ரஸமத்ததாக்⁴ரு’ணார்ஹதே³வபூஜாசரணஞ்சாகாரி தேந பா³ஹுல்யம்’|
4 In which they think it strange that ye run not with [them] to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of [you]:
யூயம்’ தை: ஸஹ தஸ்மிந் ஸர்வ்வநாஸ²பங்கே மஜ்ஜிதும்’ ந தா⁴வத², இத்யநேநாஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ விஜ்ஞாய தே யுஷ்மாந் நிந்த³ந்தி|
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.
கிந்து யோ ஜீவதாம்’ ம்ரு’தாநாஞ்ச விசாரம்’ கர்த்தும் உத்³யதோ(அ)ஸ்தி தஸ்மை தைருத்தரம்’ தா³யிஷ்யதே|
6 For, for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
யதோ ஹேதோ ர்யே ம்ரு’தாஸ்தேஷாம்’ யத் மாநவோத்³தே³ஸ்²ய: ஸா²ரீரிகவிசார: கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரோத்³தே³ஸ்²யம் ஆத்மிகஜீவநம்’ ப⁴வத் தத³ர்த²ம்’ தேஷாமபி ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ ஸுஸமாசார: ப்ரகாஸி²தோ(அ)ப⁴வத்|
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch to prayer.
ஸர்வ்வேஷாம் அந்திமகால உபஸ்தி²தஸ்தஸ்மாத்³ யூயம்’ ஸுபு³த்³த⁴ய: ப்ரார்த²நார்த²ம்’ ஜாக்³ரதஸ்²ச ப⁴வத|
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity will cover a multitude of sins.
விஸே²ஷத: பரஸ்பரம்’ கா³ட⁴ம்’ ப்ரேம குருத, யத: , பாபாநாமபி பா³ஹுல்யம்’ ப்ரேம்நைவாச்சா²த³யிஷ்யதே|
9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
காதரோக்திம்’ விநா பரஸ்பரம் ஆதித்²யம்’ க்ரு’ருத|
10 As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
யேந யோ வரோ லப்³த⁴ஸ்தேநைவ ஸ பரம் உபகரோத்ரு’, இத்த²ம்’ யூயம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ப³ஹுவித⁴ப்ரஸாத³ஸ்யோத்தமா பா⁴ண்டா³கா³ராதி⁴பா ப⁴வத|
11 If any man speaketh [let him speak] as the oracles of God; if any man ministereth [let him do it] as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
யோ வாக்யம்’ கத²யதி ஸ ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய வாக்யமிவ கத²யது யஸ்²ச பரம் உபகரோதி ஸ ஈஸ்²வரத³த்தஸாமர்த்²யாதி³வோபகரோது| ஸர்வ்வவிஷயே யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேநேஸ்²வரஸ்ய கௌ³ரவம்’ ப்ரகாஸ்²யதாம்’ தஸ்யைவ கௌ³ரவம்’ பராக்ரமஸ்²ச ஸர்வ்வதா³ பூ⁴யாத்| ஆமேந| (aiōn g165)
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you:
ஹே ப்ரியதமா: , யுஷ்மாகம்’ பரீக்ஷார்த²ம்’ யஸ்தாபோ யுஷ்மாஸு வர்த்ததே தம் அஸம்ப⁴வக⁴டிதம்’ மத்வா நாஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ ஜாநீத,
13 But rejoice, seeing ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
கிந்து க்²ரீஷ்டேந க்லேஸா²நாம்’ ஸஹபா⁴கி³த்வாத்³ ஆநந்த³த தேந தஸ்ய ப்ரதாபப்ரகாஸே²(அ)ப்யாநநந்தே³ந ப்ரபு²ல்லா ப⁴விஷ்யத²|
14 If ye are reproached for the name of Christ, happy [are ye]; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you. On their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
யதி³ க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய நாமஹேதுநா யுஷ்மாகம்’ நிந்தா³ ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி யூயம்’ த⁴ந்யா யதோ கௌ³ரவதா³யக ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாத்மா யுஷ்மாஸ்வதி⁴திஷ்ட²தி தேஷாம்’ மத்⁴யே ஸ நிந்த்³யதே கிந்து யுஷ்மந்மத்⁴யே ப்ரஸ²ம்’ஸ்யதே|
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or [as] a thief, or [as] an evil-doer, or as a busy-body in other men's matters.
கிந்து யுஷ்மாகம்’ கோ(அ)பி ஹந்தா வா சைரோ வா து³ஷ்கர்ம்மக்ரு’த்³ வா பராதி⁴காரசர்ச்சக இவ த³ண்ட³ம்’ ந பு⁴ங்க்தாம்’|
16 Yet if [any man suffereth] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
யதி³ ச க்²ரீஷ்டீயாந இவ த³ண்ட³ம்’ பு⁴ங்க்தே தர்ஹி ஸ ந லஜ்ஜமாநஸ்தத்காரணாத்³ ஈஸ்²வரம்’ ப்ரஸ²ம்’ஸது|
17 For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [beginneth] at us, what will [be] the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?
யதோ விசாரஸ்யாரம்ப⁴ஸமயே ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய மந்தி³ரே யுஜ்யதே யதி³ சாஸ்மத்ஸ்வாரப⁴தே தர்ஹீஸ்²வரீயஸுஸம்’வாதா³க்³ராஹிணாம்’ ஸே²ஷத³ஸா² கா ப⁴விஷ்யதி?
18 And if the righteous is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?
தா⁴ர்ம்மிகேநாபி சேத் த்ராணம் அதிக்ரு’ச்ச்²ரேண க³ம்யதே| தர்ஹ்யதா⁴ர்ம்மிகபாபிப்⁴யாம் ஆஸ்²ரய: குத்ர லப்ஸ்யதே|
19 Wherefore, let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit the keeping of their souls [to him] in well-doing, as to a faithful Creator.
அத ஈஸ்²வரேச்சா²தோ யே து³: க²ம்’ பு⁴ஞ்ஜதே தே ஸதா³சாரேண ஸ்வாத்மாநோ விஸ்²வாஸ்யஸ்ரஷ்டுரீஸ்²வஸ்ய கராப்⁴யாம்’ நித³த⁴தாம்’|
