1 Kings 4
1 So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
Der König Salomo war also König über Gesamtisrael.
2 And these [were] the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
Dies sind seine Obersten: Azarja, Sohn des Priesters Sadok.
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehosaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
Schreiber waren Elichoreph und Achia, Sisas Söhne. Achiluds Sohn Josaphat war Kanzler.
4 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada [was] over the army: and Zadok and Abiathar [were] the priests:
Jojadas Sohn Benaja befehligte das Heer. Sadok und Ebjatar waren Priester.
5 And Azariah the son of Nathan [was] over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan [was] principal officer, [and] the king's friend:
Azarja, Natans Sohn, war über die Vögte gesetzt. Natans Sohn Zabud war des Königs eigener Priester.
6 And Ahishar [was] over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda [was] over the tribute.
Achisar war über das Haus gesetzt und Abdas Sohn Adoniram über die Fron.
7 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
Salomo hatte zwölf Vögte für ganz Israel. Diese versorgten den König und sein Haus. Je einen Monat im Jahre lag jedem ob, ihn zu versorgen.
8 And these [are] their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
Dies sind ihre Namen: Churs Sohn auf dem Gebirge Ephraim.
9 The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:
Dekers Sohn in Makas, Saalbim, Betsemes und Elon Bet Chanan.
10 The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him [pertained] Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
Cheseds Sohn in Arubbot; ihm unterstanden Soko und das ganze Chepherland.
11 The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; who had Taphath the daughter of Solomon for a wife:
Abinadabs Sohn im ganzen Hügelland von Dor. Er hatte Salomos Tochter Taphat zum Weibe.
12 Baana the son of Ahilud; [to him pertained] Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which [is] by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, [even] to [the place that is] beyond Jokneam:
Baana, Achiluds Sohn in Taanak, Megiddo und ganz Betsean, das neben Sartan unterhalb Jezreels liegt, von Betsean bis Abel Mechola und bis jenseits von Jokneam.
13 The son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him [pertained] the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which [are] in Gilead; to him [also pertained] the region of Argob, which [is] in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brazen bars:
Gebers Sohn in Ramat Gilead unterstanden die Dörfer Jairs, des Manassesohnes, in Gilead, ebenso der Landstrich Argob in Basan, sechzig große Städte mit Mauern und ehernen Riegeln.
14 Ahinadab the son of Iddo [had] Mahanaim:
Joddas Sohn Achinadab in Machanaim.
15 Ahimaaz [was] in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon for a wife:
Achimaas in Naphtali. Auch er nahm eine Tochter Salomos, Basemat, zum Weibe.
16 Baanah the son of Hushai [was] in Asher and in Aloth:
Chusas Sohn Baana in Asser und in Alot.
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
Paruchs Sohn Josaphat in Issakar.
18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
Elas Sohn Simi in Benjamin.
19 Geber the son of Uri [was] in the country of Gilead, [in] the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and [he was] the only officer who [was] in the land.
Uris Sohn Geber im Lande Gilead, dem Land des Amoriterkönigs Sichon und des Basankönigs Og. Dazu war er Vogt über das Land.
20 Judah and Israel [were] many, as the sand which [is] by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
Juda und Israel waren zahlreich wie der Meeressand an Menge. Sie aßen, tranken und waren guter Dinge.
21 And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
Salomo herrschte über alle Königreiche vom Strom bis zum Philisterland und bis zu Ägyptens Grenze. Sie brachten Abgaben und dienten Salomo alle Tage seines Lebens.
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal.
Salomos Speisebedarf für einen Tag betrug: dreißig Maß Feinmehl und sechzig Maß anderes Mehl,
23 Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and roebucks, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowls.
zehn fette Rinder, zwanzig Weiderinder und hundert Schafe, ohne die Hirsche, Gazellen, Damhirsche, Wasservögel und Wildtauben.
24 For he had dominion over all [the region] on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side of the river: and he had peace on all sides around him.
Er waltete über alles Land jenseits des Stroms von Tipsach bis Gaza und über alle Könige jenseits des Stroms. So hatte er auf allen Seiten ringsum Frieden.
25 And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
Juda und Jerusalem wohnten ruhig, jeder saß unter seinem Weinstock und Feigenbaum von Dan bis Beerseba, solange Salomo lebte.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
Und Salomo besaß 40.000 Stuten als Rosse für seine Wagen nebst 12.000 Reitpferden.
27 And those officers provided victuals for king Solomon, and for all that came to king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
Jene Vögte versorgten den König Salomo und alle, die zum Tisch des Königs Salomo Zutritt hatten, jeder einen Monat lang. Sie ließen es an nichts fehlen.
28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries they brought to the place where [the officers] were, every man according to his charge.
Auch Gerste und Stroh für die Rosse und Rennpferde brachten sie an den Ort, wo er gerade war, jeder nach seiner Ordnung.
29 And God gave Solomon great wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that [is] on the sea-shore.
Und Gott gab Salomo Weisheit und Einsicht überreichlich sowie Geistesreichtum gleich dem Sand am Meeresufer.
30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
Salomos Weisheit ward größer als die Weisheit aller Söhne des Ostens und als die Ägyptens.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the surrounding nations.
Er war weiser als alle Menschen, als der Ezrachite Etan und Machols Söhne Heman, Kalkol und Darda. Bei allen Heiden ringsum war er berühmt.
32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
Er verfaßte 3.000 Sprüche, und seiner Lieder waren es 1.005.
33 And he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree that [is] in Lebanon even to the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spoke also of beasts, and of fowls, and of creeping animals, and of fishes.
Er redete über die Bäume von der Zeder auf dem Libanon bis zum Ysop, der an der Mauer herauswächst. Er redete auch über das Wild, die Vögel, das Gewürm und die Fische.
34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom.
Aus allen Völkern kamen Leute, Salomos Weisheit zu hören, von allen Erdenkönigen, die von seiner Weisheit hörten.
