1 Corinthians 10
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
Joonte loong, sen loong te awah Moses liphante loong ah mamah angta, erah samthun an ngeh ih baatrum hala. Neng loong ah jiimu khui ni puipang rumta, eno Juusih Esaang ah eseetham ih daan rumta.
2 And were all baptized to Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
Neng loong ah Moses liphante raang ih jiimu nyia juusih ni juutem rumta.
3 And all ate the same spiritual food;
Neng loong ah ih moong achaang ni phaksat phoosiit phaksah rumta
4 And all drank the same spiritual drink: (for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.)
nyia moong achaang joong ah phoosiit ih jok rumta. Neng loong damdi roong khoomta moong achaangte jongnuh nawa jok rumta; eno erah jong ah Kristo heh teeteewah angta.
5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Erabah uh ehanko asuh Rangte ah taroonta, erah thoidi neng mang ah phisaang hah ni noongrep ni thaajaata.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Erah raangtaan ih, arah tiitthaak ah seng suh baat hali, neng reeta likhiik ethih ekhah lare theng ngeh ih haam hali,
7 Neither be ye idolaters, as [were] some of them: as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
adoleh mararah reeraangta ah likhiik, tongmih lasoom theng ngeh ih baat hali. Rangteele ni liiha, “Mina loong ah jokphaksat esuh khoontong rum adi khojok khamjok nyia roomjup roomtong ih hoon boongse rumta.”
8 Neither let us commit lewdness, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
Mararah reeraang rumta ah likhiik, raandi baaji tongtha eno lah moongtaang theng—erah thoidi neng loong ah saasiit di rooknyi haajaat jom matti rumta.
9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents.
Neng ih thaak phateeta ah likhiik, Teesu ah lathaak phate theng—erah thoidi neng loong ah pu loong ah ih chum tekphak rumta.
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
Mararah loong ah pakjengkong rumta ah likhiik, seng lapak jengkong theng—Tek haatte Rangsah loong ah ih neng loong ah erah thoidi thet haat rumta.
11 Now all these things happened to them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. (aiōn g165)
Erah angta loong ah wahoh suh jengthaak noisok suh angta, nyia seng loong raangtaan ih jengthoon ah raangthiinta. Tiimnge liidi seng loong ah saapoot thoon thok nanah di songtong li. (aiōn g165)
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth, take heed lest he fall.
Sen loong ah rongtangtang ih chaplan ngeh ih thun han bah ladattek suh naririh ih tongtha an.
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].
Sen phate joonnaam halan ah banlam ang ah erah likhiik wareprep ih choha. Enoothong Rangte ih heh kakham ah thiin eha, lajen huitheng ah taphate thuk ran; sen loong ah thaak phate suh saapoot thok haabah uh, ejen naan esuh chaan kot ehan, nyia erah dowa jen doksoon suh lampo eje ang ah.
14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
Joon awaan loong, erah raang ih tongmih soomtu tan dowa haloh ang theng.
15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
Thungsek mina sen loong asuh baat rumhala; ngah jenglang ah ami ang abah maama teenuh teewah raangtaan thaak samthun thaak an.
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
Teesu Phaksat tokdi seng ih lookkep maak hi adi Rangte suh lakookmi liihi: Eno erah dowa jokti adi Kristo sih ni roong roomli. Eno baanlo chepphiit hi adi: ephak ehi, erah di Kristo sakphu di roong roopli.
17 For we [being] many are one bread, [and] one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
Tiimnge liidi baanlo ah esiit luulu, eno seng loong ah hantek ang ih bah uh, seng ah sak esiit, erah raangtaan ih seng ih baanlo esiit roomphak hi.
18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they who eat of the sacrifices, partakers of the altar?
Ijirel mina loong ah taat samthun thaak ih; siik hoon phaksat roong phaksatte loong ah romthong ni Rangte mootkaat roong moh rumta.
19 What then do I say? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
Enoobah, tongmih adoleh heh soomtu phaksat ah jirep adi hethaang pan elang ekah tam liihang?
20 But [I say], that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with demons.
Emah tah angka! Ngah ih liihang abah rangnak mina loong ih romthong ni siik hoon rumha abah hakhoh juubaan loong suh korumha, Rangte suh kot tah angka. Eno sen loong ah hakhoh juubaan loong damdoh room thuk suh tanookkang.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of demons.
Sen loong ah ih Teesu lookkep nah nyia hakhoh juubaan lookkep enyiinyi nah tami room jokkan; adoleh Teesu teebun nah phaksah anno hakhoh juubaan loong teebun nah nep tami phaksah kan.
22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
Tam aleh Teesu ih toom siikhaam he liihan a? Seng loong heh nang ih echaan tam mok samthunhi?
23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
Sen ih liihan, “Seng loong ah jaatrep ah jen re eh ih.” Erah amiisak elang eh ah, enoothong jaatrep ah ese totoh tah angka. “Seng jaatrep jen re eh ih,”—enoothong jaatrep ah seng raang ih epun totoh tah angka.
24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another's [wealth].
O ih uh an raangtaan suh luulu nakthun uh, wahoh raangtaan nep thuntheng.
25 Whatever is sold in the provision market, [that] eat, asking no question for conscience' sake:
Sen thung nah hejaat hejaat lasamthun thang ih, si sang theng ni sangha si ah jen phak et an.
26 For the earth [is] the Lord's, and its fullness.
Tiimnge liidi, Rangteele ni liiha, “Hah nyia erah di tongtongla jirep ah Teesu lakbi.”
27 If any of them that believe not invites you [to a feast], and ye are disposed to go; whatever is set before you, eat, asking no question on account of conscience.
Lahanpiite o ih bah uh phaksat roomphaksat poonho doh kah ubah, an ngathong ni thiinkoh halu ah lacheng thang ih phaksah uh, erah an thung nawa ih lathaam paklak ngaakcheng theng.
28 But if any man shall say to you, This is offered in sacrifice to idols, eat not for his sake that showed it, and for conscience' sake: for the earth [is] the Lord's, and its fullness:
Enoothong o ih bah uh, “Arah phaksat ah tongmih soomtu arah,” ngeh ih baat ho bah erah laphaksat theng, erah langla o ih baat ho bah uh heh thung ih toomjat ah ngeh ih baat halu—
29 Conscience, I say, not thy own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged by another [man's] conscience?
erah langla, an thung tah angka, wahoh ih thunha. “Emah ang abah uh, ese,” marah marah ih chengha, “ngah thung ih jen re theng ah wahoh thung jun ih tiim esuh haam hang?
30 For if I by grace am a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
Ngah ih phaksat raangtaan ih Rangte suh lakookmi li angdoh, erah phaksat raangtaan ih jengseera hang ah o ih bah uh tiim esuh chikram hang?”
31 Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Erah raangtaan ih, an ih tiimjih re ubah uh, adoleh jok phaksah ubah uh, Rangte men raksiit theng ang theng.
32 Give no offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
Jehudi loong angkoja oh, adoleh Ranglajatte angkoja oh, adoleh Rangte chaas mina angkoja oh, o uh sengtong sengtha nawa ih lacham thuk theng.
33 Even as I please all [men] in all [things], not seeking my own profit, but the [profit] of many, that they may be saved.
Ngah reeraang lang ah likhiik ih reeraang an; tiim reeraang ang bah uh, ngah bah wahoh eroon etheng ih reeraang lang, nga raangtaan ih lah angthang ih, wahoh loong ah toom pui ah ngeh ih reelang.
