1 Chronicles 5
1 Now the sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel, (for he [was] the first-born; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birth-right was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birth-right.
১ইস্রায়েলের বড় ছেলে রূবেণের ছেলে যদিও তিনি বড় ছিলেন, কিন্তু তিনি নিজের বাবার বিছানা অপবিত্র করেছিলেন, এজন্য তাঁর বড় ছেলের অধিকার ইস্রায়েলের ছেলে যোষেফের ছেলেদের দেওয়া হল, আর বংশাবলির বড় ছেলে অনুসারে উল্লেখ করা হয় না।
2 For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him [came] the chief ruler; but the birth-right [was] Joseph's: )
২কারণ যিহূদা নিজের ভাইদের মধ্যে শক্তিশালী হল এবং তাঁর থেকেই নেতা সৃষ্টি হয়েছিল, কিন্তু বড় ছেলের অধিকার যোষেফের হল।
3 The sons, [I say], of Reuben the first-born of Israel [were], Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
৩ইস্রায়েলের বড় ছেলে রূবেণের ছেলেরা হল হনোক, পল্লু, হিষ্রোণ ও কর্মী।
4 The sons of Joel; Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
৪যোয়েলের বংশধর তাঁর ছেলে শিময়িয়, শিময়িয়ের ছেলে গোগ, গোগের ছেলে শিমিয়ি,
5 Micah his son, Reaia his son, Baal his son,
৫শিমিয়ির ছেলে মীখা, মীখার ছেলে রায়া, রায়ার ছেলে বাল এবং বালের ছেলে বেরা।
6 Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria carried away [captive]: he [was] prince of the Reubenites.
৬বেরা ছিলেন রূবেণীয়দের নেতা। অশূরের রাজা তিলগৎ পিলনেষর তাঁকে বন্দী করে নিয়ে গিয়েছিলেন।
7 And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned, [were] the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
৭যখন তাদের বংশাবলি লেখা হল, তখন নিজের নিজের গোষ্ঠী অনুসারে তার এই ভাইদের [উল্লেখ করা হল]; প্রধান হল যিয়ীয়েল ও সখরিয়,
8 And Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, even to Nebo, and Baal-meon:
৮আর যোয়েলের ছেলে শেমার ছেলে আসসের ছেলে বেলা; সে অরোয়েরে নবো ও বাল্ মিয়োন পর্যন্ত জায়গায় বাস করত।
9 And eastward he inhabited to the entrance of the wilderness from the river Euphrates: because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
৯আর পূর্বদিকের ফরাৎ নদী থেকে [বিস্তৃত] মরু এলাকার প্রবেশস্থান পর্যন্ত বাস করত; কারণ গিলিয়দ দেশে তাদের পশুপালের সংখ্যা বেড়ে গিয়েছিল।
10 And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east [land] of Gilead.
১০আর শৌলের রাজত্বের দিন তারা হাগরীয়দের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করল এবং এরা তাদের হাতে পরাজিত হল; আর তারা এদের তাঁবুতে গিলিয়দের পূর্ব দিকে সব জায়গায় বাস করল।
11 And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan to Salcah:
১১গাদ গোষ্ঠীর লোকেরা তাদের সামনে বাশন দেশের সলখা পর্যন্ত বাস করত।
12 Joel the chief, and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
১২প্রধান যোয়েল, দ্বিতীয় শাফম, আর যানয় ও শাফট, এরা বাশনে থাকতেন।
13 And their brethren of the house of their fathers [were], Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.
১৩আর তাদের পরিবার অনুযায়ী আত্মীয় মীখায়েল, মশুল্লম, শেবা, যোরায়, যাকন, সীয় ও এবর, সবসুদ্ধ সাত জন।
14 These [are] the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz;
১৪বূষের ছেলে যহদো, যহদোর ছেলে যিশীশয়, যিশীশয়ের ছেলে মীখায়েল, মীখায়েলের ছেলে গিলিয়দ, গিলিয়দের ছেলে যারোহ, যারোহের ছেলে হূরি, হূরির ছেলে অবীহয়িল, তারা সেই অবীহয়িলের ছেলে।
15 Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house of their fathers.
১৫অব্দিয়েলের ছেলে অহি ছিলেন তাদের পিতৃকুলের প্রধান আর অব্দিয়েল ছিল গূনির ছেলে।
16 And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in its towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, upon their borders.
১৬তারা গিলিয়দে বাশনে ও সেখানকার উপনগর সকলে এবং তাদের সীমা পর্যন্ত শারোণের সমস্ত পশু চরাবার জায়গায় বাস করত।
17 All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
১৭যিহূদার রাজা যোথম ও ইস্রায়েলের রাজা যারবিয়ামের রাজত্বের দিনের তাদের সবার বংশ তালিকা লেখা হয়েছিল।
18 The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skillful in war, [were] four and forty thousand seven hundred and sixty, that went out to the war.
১৮রূবেণীয়দের, গাদীয়দের ও মনঃশি গোষ্ঠীর অর্ধেক লোক থেকে চুয়াল্লিশ হাজার সাতশো ষাটজন শক্তিশালী লোক যুদ্ধের জন্য প্রস্তুত ছিল। তারা ঢাল, তলোয়ার ও ধনুকের ব্যবহার জানত এবং যুদ্ধে বেশ দক্ষ ছিল।
19 And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Nephish, and Nodab.
১৯তারা হাগরীয়দের সঙ্গে এবং যিটূরের, নাফীশের ও নোদবের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করল।
20 And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that [were] with them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was entreated by them; because they put their trust in him.
২০এদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করবার দিন ঈশ্বর তাদের সাহায্য করেছিলেন। তিনি হাগরীয় ও তাদের পক্ষের সমস্ত লোকদের তাদের হাতে তুলে দিয়েছিলেন, কারণ যুদ্ধের দিন তারা ঈশ্বরের কাছে কেঁদেছিল। তারা তাঁর উপর নির্ভর করেছিল বলে তিনি তাদের প্রার্থনার উত্তর দিয়েছিলেন।
21 And they took away their cattle; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men a hundred thousand.
২১তারা হাগরীয়দের পঞ্চাশ হাজার উট, আড়াই লক্ষ ভেড়া ও দুই হাজার গাধা দখল করে নিল এবং এক লক্ষ লোককে বন্দী করে নিয়ে গেল।
22 For there fell down many slain, because the war [was] of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.
২২প্রকৃত পক্ষে অনেকে মারা গেল, কারণ ঈশ্বরের পরিচালনায় এই যুদ্ধ হয়েছিল। আর তারা বন্দী হবার দিন পর্যন্ত ওখানে বাস করল।
23 And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land: they increased from Bashan to Baal-hermon and Senir, and to mount Hermon.
২৩মনঃশি গোষ্ঠীর অর্ধেক লোক সেই দেশে বাস করত; তারা সংখ্যায় বেড়ে গিয়ে বাশন থেকে বাল হর্মোণ, সনীর ও হর্মোণ পাহাড় পর্যন্ত ছড়িয়ে পড়েছিল।
24 And these [were] the heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valor, famous men, [and] heads of the house of their fathers.
২৪এইসব লোক তাদের বংশের নেতা ছিলেন এফর, যিশী, ইলীয়েল, অস্রীয়েল, যিরমিয়, হোদবিয় ও যহদীয়েল। এই সব শক্তিশালী বীর ও বিখ্যাত লোকেরা নিজের নিজের পরিবারের নেতা ছিলেন।
25 And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went astray after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
২৫এরা নিজের পূর্বপুরুষদের ঈশ্বরের বিরুদ্ধে অবিশ্বস্ত হল এবং ঈশ্বর সেই দেশের যে জাতিদেরকে তাঁদের সামনে থেকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছিলেন, তারা তাদের দেব দেবতাদের অনুসরণ করে অবিশ্বস্ত হল।
26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, to this day.
২৬তাতে ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর অশূরের রাজা পূলের মন, অশূরের রাজা তিগ্লৎ পিলেষরের মন উত্তেজিত করে তুললেন, আর তিনি তাদেরকে অর্থাৎ রূবেণীয়, গাদীয়দেরকে এবং মনঃশি গোষ্ঠীর অর্ধেক লোককে নিয়ে গিয়ে হেলহ, হাবোর ও হারা এলাকায় এবং গোষণ নদীর ধারে নিয়ে গেলেন; আর আজও তারা সেখানেই আছে।
