< 1 Chronicles 29 >
1 Furthermore David the king said to all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, [is yet] young and tender, and the work [is] great: for the palace [is] not for man, but for the LORD God.
Naʻe pehē foki ʻe Tevita ko e tuʻi ki he fakataha kotoa pē, “ʻOku kei talavou mo vaivai pe ʻa Solomone ko hoku foha, ʻaia pe tokotaha kuo fili ʻe he ʻOtua, he ʻoku lahi ʻae ngāue: he ʻoku ʻikai mā ha tangata ʻae fale lahi, ka kia Sihova ko e ʻOtua.
2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for [things to be made] of gold, and the silver for [things] of silver, and the brass for [things] of brass, the iron for [things] of iron, and wood for [things] of wood; onyx-stones, and [stones] to be set, glittering stones, and of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
Pea ko eni kuo u fai tokonaki ʻeau ʻaki ʻa hoku mālohi kātoa, maʻae fale ʻo hoku ʻOtua, ʻae koula ki he meʻa koula, mo e siliva ki he meʻa siliva, mo e palasa ki he meʻa palasa, mo e ukamea ki he meʻa ukamea, mo e taʻanga ki he ngaahi meʻa ʻakau; mo e maka ko e ʻonike ke fonofono ʻaki, mo e ngaahi maka ngingila mo lanu kehekehe, mo e faʻahinga maka mahuʻinga kotoa pē, pea mo e maka hinehina, ko e meʻa lahi.
3 Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of my own possessions, of gold and silver, [which] I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,
Pea koeʻuhi foki kuo u tukupau ʻa ʻeku ʻofa ki he fale ʻa hoku ʻOtua, ko ia kuo u ʻatu mei heʻeku koloa totonu ʻaʻaku, ʻae koula mo e siliva, ʻaia kuo u ʻatu maʻae fale ʻo hoku ʻOtua, ko e fakalahi ʻataʻatā pe ki he meʻa kotoa pē ʻaia kuo u tokonaki ki he fale māʻoniʻoni,
4 [Even] three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses:
ʻIo, ʻae taleniti koula ʻe tolu afe, ʻoe koula mei Ofeli, mo e taleniti siliva maʻae fitu afe, ke ʻaofi ʻaki ʻae ngaahi holisi ʻoe fale:
5 The gold for [things] of gold, and the silver for [things] of silver, and for all manner of work [to be made] by the hands of artificers. And who [then] is willing to consecrate his service this day to the LORD?
Ko e koula ki he meʻa koula, mo e siliva ki he meʻa siliva, pea ki he ngaahi ngāue kehekehe ʻe fai ʻe he nima ʻoe kau tufunga. Pea ko hai ha taha ʻoku fie fakafonu hono nima ke ngāue kia Sihova he ʻaho ni?”
6 Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers over the king's work, offered willingly,
Pea naʻe toki ʻatu meʻa ʻi he fiefie fai ʻe he kau tuʻukimuʻa ʻi he kau mātuʻa mo e houʻeiki ʻoe ngaahi faʻahinga ʻo ʻIsileli, pea mo e ngaahi ʻeiki naʻe pule ki he ngaahi toko afe mo e ngaahi teau, pea mo kinautolu naʻe pule ki he ngāue ʻae tuʻi.
7 And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.
Pea [naʻa nau ]foaki maʻae ngāue ʻi he fale ʻoe ʻOtua ko e koula, ko e taleniti ʻe nima afe, mo e konga kehe ʻe taha mano, pea ko e siliva ko e taleniti ʻe taha mano, pea mo e taleniti ʻe taha mano ma valu afe ʻoe palasa, pea mo e taleniti ʻe taha kilu ʻoe ukamea.
8 And they with whom [precious] stones were found gave [them] to the treasure of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
Pea ko kinautolu naʻe maʻu ʻae ngaahi maka mahuʻinga naʻa nau foaki ia ki he koloa ʻoe fale ʻo Sihova ʻi he nima ʻo Sehieli ko e tangata Kesoni.
9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
Pea naʻe toki fiefia ai ʻae kakai, koeʻuhi naʻa nau ʻatu ʻi he fiefie fai, pea ʻi he loto angatonu naʻa nau ʻatu loto lelei pe kia Sihova: pea naʻe fiefia foki ʻa Tevita ko e tuʻi ʻi he fiefia lahi.
10 Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed [be] thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.
Ko ia naʻe fakafetaʻi ʻe Tevita kia Sihova ʻi he ʻao ʻoe fakataha kātoa: pea naʻe pehē ʻe Tevita, “Fakafetaʻi kiate koe, ʻE Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli ko ʻemau tamai, ke taʻengata pea taʻengata.
11 Thine, O LORD, [is] the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all [that is] in the heaven and on the earth [is thine]; thine [is] the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
ʻOku ʻoʻou, ʻE Sihova, ʻae māʻolunga, mo e mālohi, mo e nāunau, mo e ikuna, pea mo e māfimafi: he ʻoku [ʻoʻou ]ʻae meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku ʻi he langi pea mo e māmani: ʻoku ʻoʻou ʻae puleʻanga, ʻE Sihova, pea ʻoku hiki hake koe ko e ʻulu ki he meʻa kotoa pē.
12 Both riches and honor [come] from thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thy hand [is] power and might; and in thy hand [it is] to make great, and to give strength to all.
ʻOku meiate koe ʻae koloa mo e ongoongolahi, pea ʻoku ke pule koe ki he meʻa kotoa pē; pea ʻoku ʻi ho nima ʻae mālohi mo e mafai; pea ʻoku ʻi ho nima ʻoʻou ʻae faʻa hakeakiʻi, mo e foaki ʻoe mālohi ki he meʻa kotoa pē.
13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
Ko ia foki, ʻa homau ʻOtua, ʻoku mau fakafetaʻi kiate koe, mo fakaongoongolelei ʻa ho huafa nāunauʻia.
14 But who [am] I, and what [is] my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things [come] from thee, and of thy own have we given thee.
Ka ko hai au, pea ko hai ʻa hoku kakai, ke pehē ke mau faʻa ʻatu meʻa pehē ni ʻi he fiefie fai? He ʻoku meiate koe ʻae meʻa kotoa pē, pea kuo mau ʻatu pe kiate koe mei he meʻa ʻoku ʻoʻou.
15 For we [are] strangers before thee, and sojourners, as [were] all our fathers: our days on the earth [are] as a shadow, and [there is] no abiding.
He ko e kau muli ʻakimautolu ʻi ho ʻao, mo e kau ʻāunofo, ʻo hangē ko ʻemau ngaahi tamai kotoa pē: ʻoku tatau mo e ata ʻa homau ngaahi ʻaho ʻi he māmani, pea ʻoku ʻikai ha nofo maʻu.
16 O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee a house for thy holy name [cometh] from thy hand, and [is] all thy own.
17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, who are present here, to offer willingly to thee.
ʻOku ou ʻilo foki, ʻe hoku ʻOtua, ʻoku ke ʻahiʻahiʻi ʻe koe ʻae loto, pea ʻoku ke finangalo lelei ki he angatotonu. Ka ko au, ʻi he angatonu ʻo hoku loto kuo u ʻatu fiefie fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa ni kotoa pē: pea kuo u mamata fiefia ʻeni ki hoʻo kakai, ʻa ʻeni kuo fakataha ni, mo ʻenau ʻatu meʻa kiate koe ʻi he fiefie fai.
18 O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart to thee:
ʻE Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻEpalahame, mo ʻAisake, pea mo ʻIsileli, ko ʻemau ngaahi tamai, ke ke tuku maʻu eni ki he filioʻi mo e fakakaukau ʻoe loto ʻo hoʻo kakai ke taʻengata, pea ke teuteu ʻa honau loto kiate koe:
19 And give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all [these things], and to build the palace, [for] which I have made provision.
Pea ke foaki kia Solomone ko hoku foha ha loto haohaoa, ke ne tokanga ki hoʻo ngaahi fekau, mo hoʻo ngaahi fakamoʻoni, mo hoʻo ngaahi fono, pea ke fai ia kotoa pē, pea ke langa ʻae fale lahi ʻaia kuo u fai tokonaki ki ai.”
20 And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed their heads, and worshiped the LORD, and the king.
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Tevita ki he fakataha kātoa, “Ko eni mou fakafetaʻi kia Sihova ko homou ʻOtua.” Pea naʻe fakafetaʻi ʻe he fakataha kātoa kia Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻenau ngaahi tamai, pea naʻe punou hifo honau ʻulu, mo nau hū kia Sihova, pea mo e tuʻi.
21 And they sacrificed sacrifices to the LORD, and offered burnt-offerings to the LORD, on the morrow after that day, [even] a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, [and] a thousand lambs, with their drink-offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
Pea naʻa nau ʻatu ʻae ngaahi feilaulau kia Sihova, mo nau ʻatu ʻae ngaahi feilaulau tutu kia Sihova, ʻi he ʻaho naʻe feholoi mo e ʻaho ko ia, ʻio, ko e fanga pulu ʻe taha afe, mo e fanga sipitangata ʻe taha afe, mo e fanga lami ʻe taha afe, fakataha mo ʻenau ngaahi feilaulau meʻainu, pea mo e ngaahi feilaulau lahi ʻaupito maʻa ʻIsileli kātoa:
22 And ate and drank before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed [him] to the LORD [to be] the chief governor, and Zadok [to be] priest.
Pea naʻa nau kai mo inu ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ʻi he ʻaho ko ia ʻi he fiefia lahi. Pea naʻa nau fakanofo ʻa Solomone ko e foha ʻo Tevita ke tuʻi ko hono liunga ua, mo nau pani ia ʻaki ʻae lolo kia Sihova ke hoko ko e pule lahi, pea ke taulaʻeiki ʻa Satoki.
23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.
24 And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves to Solomon the king.
Pea naʻe anganofo kia Solomone ko e tuʻi ʻae houʻeiki kotoa pē, mo e kau tangata mālohi, pea mo e ngaahi foha kotoa pē foki ʻoe tuʻi ko Tevita.
25 And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him [such] royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
Pea naʻe fakahikihiki lahi ʻaupito ʻa Solomone ʻe Sihova ʻi he ʻao ʻo ʻIsileli kātoa, pea ne tuku kiate ia ʻae ngaahi meʻa fakatuʻi naʻe teʻeki ke tuku ki ha tuʻi naʻe muʻa ʻiate ia ʻi ʻIsileli.
26 Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
Naʻe pehē ʻae pule ʻa Tevita ko e foha ʻo Sese ki ʻIsileli kātoa.
27 And the time that he reigned over Israel [was] forty years; seven years he reigned in Hebron, and thirty and three [years] he reigned in Jerusalem.
Pea ko e kuonga naʻa ne pule ai ki ʻIsileli, ko e taʻu ʻe fāngofulu; naʻa ne pule ʻi Hepeloni ʻi he taʻu ʻe fitu, pea naʻa ne pule ʻi Selūsalema ʻi he taʻu ʻe tolungofulu ma tolu.
28 And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.
Pea naʻa ne pekia ʻi heʻene hoko ʻo motuʻa lelei, kuo lahi hono ʻaho, mo ne koloaʻia, mo ongoongolelei: pea naʻe fetongi ia ʻi he pule ʻe hono foha ko Solomone.
29 Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they [are] written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,
Pea ko eni ko e ngaahi ngāue ʻa Tevita, mei he kamataʻanga ʻo aʻu ki mui, vakai, kuo tohi ia ʻi he tohi ʻa Samuela ko e tangata kikite, pea ʻi he tohi ʻa Natani ko e palōfita, pea ʻi he tohi ʻa Kata ko e tangata kikite,
30 With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.
ʻA ʻene pule kotoa pē, mo ʻene mālohi, mo e ngaahi meʻa naʻe fai kiate ia ʻi hono kuonga, pea ki ʻIsileli foki, pea ki he ngaahi puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻoe ngaahi fonua.
