1 Chronicles 26

1 Concerning the divisions of the porters: Of the Korhites [was] Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.

از طایفهٔ قورح افرادی که برای نگهبانی دروازه‌های معبد تعیین شدند، اینها بودند: مشلمیا پسر قوری از خاندان آساف، و هفت پسر او که به ترتیب سن عبارت بودند از: زکریا، یدیعی‌ئیل، زبدیا، یتنی‌ئیل، عیلام، یهوحانان و الیهوعینای.

2 And the sons of Meshelemiah [were], Zechariah the first-born, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.

4 Moreover the sons of Obed-edom [were], Shemaiah the first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethaneel the fifth,

هشت پسر عوبید ادوم که به ترتیب سن عبارت بودند از: شمعیا، یهوزاباد، یوآخ، ساکار، نتن‌ئیل، عمی‌ئیل، یساکار و فعلتای. این هشت پسر نشانهٔ برکت خدا به عوبید ادوم بودند.

5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth: for God blessed him.

6 Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born, that ruled throughout the house of their father: for they [were] mighty men of valor.

پسران شمعیا همه مردانی توانا و در میان طایفهٔ خود معروف بودند. اسامی ایشان، عتنی، رفائیل، عوبید و الزاباد بود. برادران او الیهو و سمکیا هم مردانی توانا بودند.

7 The sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren [were] strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

8 All these of the sons of Obed-edom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, [were] sixty and two of Obed-edom.

همهٔ افراد خاندان عوبید ادوم مردانی توانا و واجد شرایط برای این کار بودند.

9 And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.

هجده پسر و برادر مشلمیا هم مردانی قابل بشمار می‌آمدند.

10 Also Hosah of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for [though] he was not the first-born, yet his father made him the chief; )

از طایفهٔ مراری نیز حوسه با پسرانش به نگهبانی خانۀ خدا تعیین شدند. پسران حوسه عبارت بودند از: شمری (هر چند او پسر ارشد نبود اما پدرش او را رهبر سایر پسران خود کرد)،

11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brethren of Hosah [were] thirteen.

حلقیا، طبلیا و زکریا. خاندان حوسه جمعاً سیزده نفر بودند.

12 Among these [were] the divisions of the porters, [even] among the chief men, having wards one against another, to minister in the house of the LORD.

نگهبانان خانهٔ خداوند برحسب خاندان خود به گروه‌ها تقسیم شدند تا مثل سایر لاویان در خانهٔ خداوند خدمت کنند.

13 And they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.

تمام خاندانها، بدون توجه به بزرگی یا کوچکی‌شان، قرعه کشیدند تا مشخص شود هر یک از آنها کدام یک از دروازه‌ها را باید نگهبانی کنند.

14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

نگهبانی دروازهٔ شرقی به اسم مشلمیا، نگهبانی دروازهٔ شمالی به نام پسرش زکریا که مشاور دانایی بود،

15 To obed-edom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.

و نگهبانی دروازهٔ جنوبی به اسم عوبید ادوم درآمد. پسران عوبید ادوم از انبارها مواظبت می‌کردند.

16 To Shuppim and Hosah [the lot came forth] westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the way of the ascent, ward against ward.

نگهبانی دروازهٔ غربی و دروازه شلکت (که به جادهٔ سربالایی باز می‌شد)، به نام شفیم و حوسه درآمد. وظیفهٔ نگهبانی به نوبت تعیین می‌شد.

17 Eastward [were] six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and towards Asuppim, two [and] two.

هر روز شش نفر در دروازهٔ شرقی، چهار نفر در دروازهٔ شمالی، چهار نفر در دروازهٔ جنوبی، و چهار نفر در انبارها (دو نفر در هر انبار) نگهبانی می‌دادند.

18 At Parbar westward, four at the causey, [and] two at Parbar.

هر روز برای نگهبانی دروازهٔ غربی شش نفر تعیین می‌شدند، یعنی چهار نفر برای جاده و دو نفر برای خود دروازه.

19 These [are] the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore, and among the sons of Merari.

نگهبانان خانهٔ خدا از طایفه‌های قورح و مراری انتخاب شدند.

20 And of the Levites, Ahijah [was] over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.

بقیهٔ لاویان به رهبری اخیا مسئول نگهداری خزانهٔ خانهٔ خدا و انبار هدایای وقفی بودند.

21 [As concerning] the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, [even] of Laadan the Gershonite, [were] Jehieli.

زیتام و یوئیل، پسران یحی‌ئیل نیز که از رهبران خاندان لادان و از طایفۀ جرشون بودند از مسئولین خزانهٔ خانۀ خداوند بشمار می‌آمدند.

22 The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother, [who were] over the treasures of the house of the LORD.

23 Of the Amramites, [and] the Izharites, the Hebronites, [and] the Uzzielites:

از طایفهٔ عمرام، یصهار، حبرون و عزی‌ئیل نیز مسئولینی تعیین شدند.

24 And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, [was] ruler of the treasures.

شبوئیل، از طایفهٔ جرشوم پسر موسی، ناظر خزانه بود.

25 And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.

یکی از خویشاوندان او شلومیت بود. (شلومیت پسر زکری، زکری پسر یورام، یورام پسر اشعیا، اشعیا پسر رحبیا، رحبیا پسر العازار و العازار برادر جرشوم بود.)

26 Which Shelomith and his brethren [were] over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.

شلومیت و برادرانش تعیین شدند تا از خزانه مراقبت نمایند. در این خزانه هدایایی نگهداری می‌شد که داوود پادشاه و سایر رهبران یعنی رؤسای طوایف و خاندانها و نیز فرماندهان سپاه وقف کرده بودند.

27 Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD.

این اشخاص قسمتی از آنچه را در جنگ به غنیمت می‌گرفتند وقف می‌کردند تا صرف هزینه‌های خانهٔ خداوند شود.

28 And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; [and] whoever had dedicated [any thing], [it was] under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.

شلومیت و برادرانش در ضمن مسئول نگهداری هدایایی بودند که به‌وسیلۀ سموئیل نبی، شائول پسر قیس، ابنیر پسر نیر، یوآب پسر صرویه، و دیگران وقف شده بود.

29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons [were] for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

کننیا و پسرانش که از طایفهٔ یصهار بودند، وظایفی در خارج از خانۀ خدا به عهده داشتند. آنها از مسئولین و مقامات قضایی بودند.

30 [And] of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valor, a thousand and seven hundred, [were] officers among them of Israel on this side of Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD, and in the service of the king.

از طایفهٔ حبرون حشبیا و هزار و هفتصد نفر از خویشاوندانش که همه افرادی کاردان بودند، تعیین شدند تا در آن قسمت از خاک اسرائیل که در غرب رود اردن بود مسئول امور مذهبی و مملکتی باشند.

31 Among the Hebronites [was] Jerijah the chief, [even] among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.

یریا سرپرست تمام طایفهٔ حبرون بود. در سال چهلم سلطنت داوود پادشاه، در نسب نامه‌های طایفۀ حبرون بررسی به عمل آمد و معلوم شد افراد کاردان این طایفه در یعزیز جلعاد می‌باشند.

32 And his brethren, men of valor, [were] two thousand and seven hundred chief fathers, whom king David made rulers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of the king.

پس داوود پادشاه دو هزار و هفتصد نفر از خویشاوندان یریا را که افرادی کاردان و از رؤسای خاندان بودند، انتخاب نمود تا مسئول امور مذهبی و مملکتی ناحیهٔ شرق رود اردن که قبایل رئوبین، جاد و نصف قبیله منسی در آنجا بودند، باشند.
