Psalms 54

1 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us? Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.

i powiedzieli do Saula: [Dawid się u nas ukrywa. ] Boże, wybaw mnie twoim imieniem i twoją mocą broń mojej sprawy.

2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

Boże, wysłuchaj mojej modlitwy, nakłoń ucha ku słowom moich ust.

3 For strangers have risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. (Selah)

Gdyż obcy powstali przeciwko mnie, a okrutnicy czyhają na moją duszę; nie mają Boga przed oczami. (Sela)

4 Behold, God is my helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

Oto Bóg jest moim pomocnikiem; Pan jest z tymi, którzy podtrzymują moje życie.

5 He shall reward evil to my enemies: cut them off in thy truth.

Odpłaci złem moim wrogom; w twojej prawdzie wytrać ich.

6 I will freely sacrifice to thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.

Będę ci dobrowolnie składał ofiary, będę wysławiał twoje imię, PANIE, bo jest dobre.

7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye hath seen its desire upon my enemies.

Uwolniłeś mnie bowiem z każdego utrapienia, a moje oko widziało [zemstę] nad moimi wrogami.
