Psalms 33
1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
Yaa qajeeltota, isin Waaqayyotti gammadaa; isa jajuun tolootaaf ni mala.
2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing to him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
Kiraaraan Waaqayyoon galateeffadhaa; baganaa ribuu kudhan qabuun isaaf faarfadhaa.
3 Sing to him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
Faarfannaa haaraa isaaf faarfadhaa; ribuu haalaan rukutaa; sirriitti rukutaa; gammachuudhaanis ililchaa.
4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
Dubbiin Waaqayyoo qajeelaadhaatii; inni waan hojjetu hundumaatti amanamaa dha.
5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.
Waaqayyo qajeelummaa fi murtii qajeelaa jaallata; laftis jaalala isaa kan hin geeddaramneen guutamteerti.
6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Samiiwwan dubbii Waaqayyootiin hojjetaman; tuunni urjiiwwanii hundinuus hafuura afaan isaatii baʼuun uumaman.
7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in store houses.
Inni bishaan galaanaa akka tuullaatti walitti qaba; bishaan tuujubaas kuusaa keessa kaaʼa.
8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
Lafti hundi Waaqayyoon haa sodaatu; sabni addunyaa irra jiraatu hundinuus, guddisee isa haa sodaatu.
9 For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
Inni dubbateeraatii, wanni inni dubbate ni taʼe; inni ni ajaje; wanni inni ajajes ni raawwate.
10 The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of no effect.
Waaqayyo marii sabootaa ni fashaleessa; akka karoorri namootaa hojii irra hin oolles ni godha.
11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Karoorri Waaqayyoo garuu bara baraan, yaadni garaa isaas dhaloota hundumaa keessatti cimee ni dhaabata.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Sabni Waaqayyo Waaqa isaaf taʼe, namoonni inni akka dhaala ofii isaatti filate eebbifamoo dha.
13 The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.
Waaqayyo samii irraa gad ni ilaala; ilmaan namootaa hundas ni arga;
14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
inni teessoo isaa irra taaʼee, warra lafa irra jiraatan hunda gad ilaala;
15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
inni garaa nama hundumaa uumu sun, hojii isaanii hunda ni hubata.
16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
Mootiin baayʼina loltoota isaatiin duʼa hin oolu; jagnis guddina humna isaatiin duʼa jalaa hin baʼu.
17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
Fardi moʼannaadhaaf abdii gatii hin qabnee dha; guddinni humna isaas nama hin oolchu.
18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
Garuu iji Waaqayyoo warra isa sodaatan irra, warra araara isaa abdatan irras jira;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
inni lubbuu isaanii duʼa jalaa ni baasa; bara beelaas isaan ni jiraachisa.
20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
Lubbuun keenya abdiidhaan Waaqayyoon eeggatti; innis gargaarsa keenyaa fi gaachana keenya.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
Garaan keenya isatti ni gammadaatii; nu maqaa isaa qulqulluu ni amanannaatii.
22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Yaa Waaqayyo, akkuma nu abdii keenya sirra kaaʼannutti, araarri kee nurra haa buʼu.
