Psalms 18
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul: And he said, I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
প্রধান সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। সদাপ্রভুর দাস দাউদের। সদাপ্রভু যেদিন তাঁর দাস দাউদকে সমস্ত শত্রু এবং শৌলের হাত থেকে উদ্ধার করেছিলেন সেদিন দাউদ সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে এই গীত গেয়েছিলেন। দাউদ বলেছিলেন: হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি তোমায় ভালোবাসি, তুমি আমার শক্তি।
2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
সদাপ্রভু আমার শৈল, আমার উচ্চদুর্গ, আমার উদ্ধারকর্তা; আমার ঈশ্বর আমার শৈল, আমি তাঁর শরণাগত, আমার ঢাল, আমার পরিত্রাণের শিং, আমার আশ্রয় দুর্গ।
3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies.
আমি সদাপ্রভুকে ডাকলাম, যিনি প্রশংসার যোগ্য, এবং আমি শত্রুদের হাত থেকে উদ্ধার পেয়েছি।
4 The sorrows of death surrounded me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
মৃত্যুর বাঁধন আমাকে আবদ্ধ করেছিল; ধ্বংসের স্রোত আমাকে বিধ্বস্ত করেছিল।
পাতালের বাঁধন আমাকে জড়িয়ে ধরেছিল; মৃত্যুর ফাঁদ আমার সম্মুখীন হয়েছিল। (Sheol h7585)
6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
আমার সংকটে আমি সদাপ্রভুকে ডাকলাম; আমার ঈশ্বরের কাছে সাহায্যের জন্য কেঁদে উঠলাম। তাঁর মন্দির থেকে তিনি আমার গলার স্বর শুনলেন, আমার আর্তনাদ তাঁর সামনে এল, তাঁর কানে পৌঁছাল।
7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was angry.
তখন পৃথিবী টলে উঠল, কেঁপে উঠল, এবং পর্বতের ভিত নড়ে উঠল; কেঁপে উঠল তাঁর ক্রোধের কারণে।
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
তাঁর নাক থেকে ধোঁয়া উঠল; মুখ থেকে গ্রাসকারী আগুন বেরিয়ে এল, জ্বলন্ত কয়লা প্রজ্বলিত হল।
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
তিনি আকাশমণ্ডল ভেদ করলেন ও নেমে এলেন; তাঁর পায়ের তলায় অন্ধকার মেঘ ছিল।
10 And he rode upon a cherub, and flew: yea, he flew upon the wings of the wind.
করূবের পিঠে চড়ে তিনি উড়ে গেলেন; বাতাসের ডানায় তিনি উড়ে এলেন।
11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion around him was dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
তিনি অন্ধকারকে তাঁর আবরণ করলেন, তাঁর চারপাশের আচ্ছাদন করলেন; আকাশের অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন মেঘ চতুর্দিকে ঘিরে রাখল তাঁকে।
12 At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
তাঁর উপস্থিতির উজ্জ্বলতা থেকে মেঘের ঘনঘটা সরে গেল, শিলাবৃষ্টি ও বজ্রবিদ্যুৎ নেমে এল।
13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
আকাশ থেকে সদাপ্রভু বজ্রনাদ করলেন; শিলাবৃষ্টি ও বজ্রবিদ্যুতের মাঝে প্রতিধ্বনিত হল পরাৎপরের কণ্ঠস্বর।
14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and destroyed them.
তিনি তাঁর তির ছুঁড়লেন ও শত্রুদের ছত্রভঙ্গ করে দিলেন, বজ্রবিদ্যুতের সাথে তাদের পর্যুদস্ত করলেন।
15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were uncovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
তোমার আদেশে, হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার নাকের নিঃশ্বাসের বিস্ফোরণে, সাগরের তলদেশ উন্মুক্ত হল, আর পৃথিবীর ভিত্তিমূল অনাবৃত হল।
16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
তিনি আকাশ থেকে হাত বাড়ালেন ও আমাকে ধারণ করলেন; গভীর জলরাশি থেকে আমাকে টেনে তুললেন।
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them who hated me: for they were too strong for me.
আমার শক্তিশালী শত্রুর কবল থেকে তিনি আমাকে রক্ষা করলেন, যারা আমাকে ঘৃণা করত তাদের হাত থেকে, আর তারা আমার জন্য খুবই শক্তিশালী ছিল।
18 They came upon me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
আমার বিপদের দিনে তারা আমার মোকাবিলা করেছিল, কিন্তু সদাপ্রভু আমার সহায় ছিলেন।
19 He brought me forth also in a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
তিনি আমায় মুক্ত করে এক প্রশস্ত স্থানে আনলেন, তিনি আমায় উদ্ধার করলেন, কারণ তিনি আমাতে সন্তুষ্ট ছিলেন।
20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
আমার ধার্মিকতা অনুযায়ী সদাপ্রভু আমায় প্রতিফল দিলেন, আমার হাতের পরিচ্ছন্নতা অনুযায়ী আমাকে পুরস্কৃত করলেন।
21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
কারণ আমি সদাপ্রভুর নির্দেশিত পথে চলেছি, আমার ঈশ্বরকে পরিত্যাগ করার অপরাধী আমি নই।
22 For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
তাঁর সব বিধান আমার সামনে রয়েছে, তাঁর আদেশ থেকে আমি কখনও দূরে সরে যাইনি।
23 I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.
তাঁর সামনে আমি নিজেকে নির্দোষ রেখেছি আর পাপ থেকে নিজেকে সরিয়ে রেখেছি।
24 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.
যা ন্যায়পরায়ণ তা পালন করার জন্য সদাপ্রভু আমায় পুরস্কার দিয়েছেন, এবং তাঁর দৃষ্টিতে আমার নির্মল হাতের সততা অনুসারে দিয়েছেন।
25 With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt show thyself upright;
যারা বিশ্বস্ত, তাদের প্রতি তুমি বিশ্বস্ত, যারা নির্দোষ, তাদের প্রতি তুমি সিদ্ধ।
26 With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; and with the perverse thou wilt contend.
যারা শুদ্ধ, তাদের প্রতি তুমি শুদ্ধ, কিন্তু যারা কুটিল, তাদের প্রতি তুমি চতুর আচরণ করো।
27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.
তুমি নম্রকে উদ্ধার করে থাকো কিন্তু যাদের দৃষ্টি উদ্ধত তাদের তুমি নত করে থাকো।
28 For thou wilt light my lamp: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
তুমি, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমার প্রদীপ জ্বালিয়ে রাখো; আমার ঈশ্বর আমার অন্ধকার আলোতে পরিণত করেন।
29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
তোমার সাহায্যে আমি বিপক্ষের বিরুদ্ধে অগ্রসর হতে পারি, আমার ঈশ্বর সহায় হলে আমি প্রাচীর অতিক্রম করতে পারি।
30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
ঈশ্বরের সমস্ত পথ সিদ্ধ: সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য নিখুঁত; যারা তাঁতে শরণ নেয় তিনি তাদের ঢাল।
31 For who is God except the LORD? or who is a rock except our God?
কারণ সদাপ্রভু ছাড়া আর ঈশ্বর কে আছে? আমাদের ঈশ্বর ছাড়া আর শৈল কে আছে?
32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
ঈশ্বর আমায় শক্তি জোগান আর আমার পথ সুরক্ষিত রাখেন।
33 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
তিনি আমার পা হরিণের পায়ের মতো করেন; উঁচু স্থানে দাঁড়াতে আমাকে সক্ষম করেন।
34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms.
তিনি আমার হাত যুদ্ধের জন্য প্রশিক্ষিত করেন; আমার বাহু পিতলের ধনুক বাঁকাতে পারে।
35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath held me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
তুমি আমাকে তোমার বিজয়ের ঢাল দিয়েছ, তোমার ডান হাত আমায় সহায়তা করে; তোমার সাহায্য আমায় মহান করেছে।
36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
তুমি আমার চলার পথ প্রশস্ত করেছ, যেন আমার পা পিছলে না যায়।
37 I have pursued my enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
আমি শত্রুদের পিছনে ধাওয়া করে তাদের ধরে ফেলেছি; তারা ধ্বংস না হওয়া পর্যন্ত আমি পিছু হটিনি।
38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they have fallen under my feet.
আমি তাদের চূর্ণবিচূর্ণ করেছি, যেন তারা আর উঠে দাঁড়াতে না পারে; তারা আমার পায়ের তলায় পতিত হয়েছে।
39 For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
যুদ্ধের জন্য তুমি আমাকে শক্তি দিয়েছ; আমার সামনে আমার বিপক্ষদের তুমি নত করেছ।
40 Thou hast also given me the necks of my enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
তুমি আমার শত্রুদের পালাতে বাধ্য করেছ, আর আমি আমার শত্রুদের ধ্বংস করেছি।
41 They cried, but there was none to save them: even to the LORD, but he answered them not.
তারা সাহায্যের জন্য আর্তনাদ করেছে, কিন্তু কেউ তাদের রক্ষা করেনি, তারা সদাপ্রভুকে ডেকেছে কিন্তু তিনি তাদের ডাকে সাড়া দেননি।
42 Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
বাতাসে ওড়া ধুলোর মতো আমি তাদের চূর্ণ করি; রাস্তার কাদার মতো আমি তাদের পদদলিত করি।
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
তুমি আমাকে লোকেদের আক্রমণ থেকে বাঁচিয়েছ, তুমি আমাকে জাতিদের প্রধান নিযুক্ত করেছ। আমার অপরিচিত লোকেরাও এখন আমার সেবা করে।
44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves to me.
অইহুদিরা আমার সামনে মাথা নত হয়ে থাকে; যে মুহূর্তে তারা আমার আদেশ শোনে, তা পালন করে।
45 The strangers shall fade away, and come trembling out of their fortresses.
তারা সবাই সাহস হারায়; কাঁপতে কাঁপতে তারা তাদের দুর্গ থেকে বেরিয়ে আসে।
46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
সদাপ্রভু জীবিত! আমার শৈলের প্রশংসা হোক! ঈশ্বর, আমার পরিত্রাতার, গৌরব হোক!
47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
তিনিই সেই ঈশ্বর যিনি আমার হয়ে প্রতিশোধ নেন, তিনি জাতিদের আমার অধীনস্থ করেন,
48 He delivereth me from my enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
তিনি আমার শত্রুদের কবল থেকে আমাকে উদ্ধার করেন। আমার প্রতিপক্ষদের থেকে তুমি আমাকে উন্নত করেছ; মারমুখী লোকের কবল থেকে তুমি আমাকে রক্ষা করেছ।
49 Therefore will I give thanks to thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises to thy name.
তাই, হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি জাতিদের মাঝে তোমার প্রশংসা করব; আমি তোমার নামের প্রশংসাগান করব।
50 He giveth great deliverance to his king; and showeth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
তিনি তাঁর রাজাকে মহান বিজয় প্রদান করেন; তাঁর অভিষিক্ত দাউদ ও তাঁর বংশধরদের প্রতি তিনি চিরকাল তাঁর অবিচল প্রেম প্রদর্শন করেন।
