Psalms 138

1 A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise to thee.

੧ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ।

2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

੨ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਯਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਡਿਆਇਆ ਹੈ!

3 In the day when I cried thou didst answer me, and strengthen me with strength in my soul.

੩ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਲ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿਲੇਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ।

4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.

੪ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੁੱਖ ਦਿਆਂ ਵਾਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ,

5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

੫ਅਤੇ ਓਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਣਗੇ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਜੋ ਵੱਡੀ ਹੈ!

6 Though the LORD is high, yet hath he respect to the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

੬ਭਾਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਹੀਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਹੰਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ!

7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

੭ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਏ ਰੱਖੇਂਗਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਵਧਾਵੇਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵੇਗਾ।

8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thy own hands.

੮ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੇਰੀ ਦਯਾ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਤਿਆਗ!
