Proverbs 14
1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
১জ্ঞানৱতী মহিলাই নিজৰ ঘৰ নিৰ্মাণ কৰে; কিন্তু অজ্ঞানী মহিলাই নিজৰ হাতেৰে তাক ভাঙি পেলায়।
2 He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him.
২যি জনে সৰল পথত চলে, তেওঁ যিহোৱাক ভয় কৰে; কিন্তু যি জনে নিজৰ পথত সত্যতাৰে নচলে সেইজনে তেওঁক হেয়জ্ঞান কৰে।
3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
৩অজ্ঞানীলোকৰ মুখৰ পৰা তেওঁৰ অহঙ্কাৰৰ অঙ্কুৰ ওলাই; কিন্তু জ্ঞানীলোকৰ ওঁঠে সেইবোৰ সংৰক্ষিত কৰে।
4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.
৪য’ত গৰু নাথাকে তাত দানা পাত্ৰ নিকা হৈ থাকে; কিন্তু ষাঁড় গৰুৰ বলেৰে অধিক শস্য উৎপন্ন হয়।
5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
৫বিশ্বাসী সাক্ষীয়ে মিছা কথা নকয়; কিন্তু মিছা সাক্ষীয়ে মিছা কথাকেহে কয়।
6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy to him that understandeth.
৬নিন্দক লোকে প্ৰজ্ঞা বিচাৰিলে তাক নাপায়; কিন্তু বুদ্ধিমানৰ পক্ষে জ্ঞান সুলভ হয়।
7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.
৭অজ্ঞানী লোকৰ পৰা আঁতৰি থাকা; কাৰণ তেওঁৰ মুখত জ্ঞানৰ কথা বিচাৰি নাপাবা।
8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.
৮নিজৰ পথ বুজি পোৱাই দূৰদৰ্শীসকলৰ প্রজ্ঞা; কিন্তু অজ্ঞানীলোকৰ অজ্ঞানতাই প্ৰবঞ্চনা মাথোন।
9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
৯দোষাৰ্থক বলি উৎসৰ্গ কৰোঁতে অজ্ঞানীলোকে নিন্দা কৰে; কিন্তু ন্যায়পৰায়ণ লোকৰ মাজত অনুগ্ৰহ থাকে।
10 The heart knoweth its own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy.
১০হৃদয়ে নিজৰ বেদনা নিজে বুজি পায়; কিন্তু অচিনাকী লোকে সেই আনন্দত ভাগ ল’ব নোৱাৰে।
11 The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
১১দুষ্টলোকৰ ঘৰ ধ্বংস কৰা হ’ব; কিন্তু ন্যায়পৰায়ণ লোকৰ তম্বু মঙ্গলে থাকিব।
12 There is a way which seemeth right to a man, but the end of it are the ways of death.
১২কোনো কোনো পথ মানুহৰ দৃষ্টিত সৰল বোধ হয়; কিন্তু শেষত সেয়ে মৃত্যুৰ পথ।
13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
১৩দুখৰ সময়তো হৃদয়ে হাঁহিব পাৰে, আৰু আনন্দ শেষত দুখলৈ পৰিণত হ’ব পাৰে।
14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.
১৪যি জন অবিশ্বাসী, তেওঁ নিজৰ আচৰণৰ ফল ভোগ কৰিব; কিন্তু ভাল লোকে তেওঁৰ যি আছে তাকেই পাব।
15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
১৫যি জন শিক্ষিত নহয়, তেওঁ সকলো বিশ্বাস কৰে; কিন্তু দূৰদৰ্শী লোকে নিজৰ খোজ চিন্তা কৰে।
16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
১৬জ্ঞানী লোকে ভয় কৰে আৰু বেয়াৰ পৰা আঁতৰি থাকে; কিন্তু অজ্ঞান লোকে দৃঢ়তাৰে সাৱধান বাণী অৱজ্ঞা কৰে।
17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
১৭ক্ষন্তেকতে খং উঠা লোকে অজ্ঞানীৰ দৰে কাম কৰে; আৰু যিজনে কু-কল্পনা কৰে তেওঁ ঘৃণনীয় হয়।
18 The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
১৮অশিক্ষিত লোকৰ মুৰ্খতা বংশানুক্রমে থাকে; কিন্তু দূৰদৰ্শী লোকসকল জ্ঞানেৰে পৰিপূৰ্ণ।
19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
১৯যিসকল পাপী, তেওঁলোকে সৎ লোকৰ আগত প্রণিপাত কৰে; আৰু যিসকল দুষ্ট তেওঁলোকে ধাৰ্মিকলোকৰ দুৱাৰ ডলিত প্রণিপাত কৰে।
20 The poor is hated even by his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.
২০দৰিদ্ৰ লোকক তেওঁলোকৰ নিজৰ সঙ্গীয়েই ঘৃণা কৰে; কিন্তু ধনী লোকৰ অনেক বন্ধু থাকে।
21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.
২১যি জনে চুবুৰীয়াক হেয়জ্ঞান কৰে, তেওঁ পাপ কৰে; কিন্তু যি জনে দৰিদ্ৰ লোকক দয়া কৰে, তেওঁ অনন্দিত হয়।
22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.
২২যি সকলে বেয়া পৰিকল্পনা কৰে, তেওঁলোক জানো বিপথগামী নহয়? কিন্তু যি সকলে মঙ্গল কল্পনা কৰে, তেওঁলোক বিশ্বস্ততা আৰু বিশ্বাসযোগ্য চুক্তি গ্রহণ কৰিব।
23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to poverty.
২৩সকলো কঠিন পৰিশ্ৰমৰ দ্বাৰাই লাভ হয়; কিন্তু যেতিয়া কেৱল আলোচনা হয়, তেতিয়া দৰিদ্রতালৈ আগবাঢ়ি যায়।
24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.
২৪জ্ঞানী লোকসকলৰ সম্পত্তি তেওঁলোকৰ মুকুট; কিন্তু অজ্ঞানীৰ মূৰ্খতাই কেৱল অধিক মূৰ্খতাহে আনে।
25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.
২৫সত্যবাদী সাক্ষীয়ে জীৱন ৰক্ষা কৰে; কিন্তু মিছা সাক্ষীয়ে মিছা কথা কয়।
26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
২৬যিহোৱাক ভয় কৰাই দৃঢ়-বিশ্বাস, আৰু এয়ে তেওঁৰ সন্তান সকলৰ বাবে আশ্ৰয় স্থল হ’ব।
27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
২৭যিহোৱালৈ ভয় ৰখাই জীৱনৰ ভুমুক-স্বৰূপ, ইয়াৰে কোনো এজনে মৃত্যুৰ ফান্দৰ পৰা আঁতৰি থাকিব পাৰিব।
28 In the multitude of people is the king’s honour: but in the lack of people is the destruction of the prince.
২৮ৰজাৰ গৌৰৱ অধিক সংখ্যক প্ৰজাত বিচাৰি পোৱা যায়; কিন্তু প্ৰজা অবিহনে ৰজা ধ্বংস হয়।
29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
২৯ধৈৰ্যশীল লোকৰ বিবেচনা শক্তি অধিক; কিন্তু বেগাই খং উঠা লোকে নিজৰ মুৰ্খতা প্রকাশ কৰে।
30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
৩০শান্ত হৃদয় শৰীৰৰ বাবে জীৱন স্বৰূপ; কিন্তু ঈৰ্ষা হাড়ৰ ক্ষয়স্বৰূপ।
31 He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.
৩১যি লোকে দৰিদ্ৰক অত্যাচাৰ কৰে, তেওঁ নিজৰ সৃষ্টিকৰ্ত্তাক শাও দিয়ে; কিন্তু যি জনে অভাৱীলোকক দয়া কৰে, তেওঁ তেওঁক সন্মান কৰে।
32 The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.
৩২দুষ্ট লোক নিজৰ কু-কৰ্মৰ দ্বাৰাই পতিত হয়; কিন্তু ধাৰ্মিক লোকে মৃত্যুতো আশ্ৰয় পায়।
33 Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.
৩৩প্রজ্ঞা হৃদয়ৰ সক্ষ্মদর্শীতাত প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়; কিন্তু অজ্ঞানীলোক সকলৰ মাজতো তেওঁ নিজকে প্রকাশ কৰে।
34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
৩৪সৎ কাৰ্য কৰা দ্বাৰাই দেশৰ উন্নতি হয়; কিন্তু পাপ যি কোনো লোকৰ বাবে কলঙ্কস্বৰূপ।
35 The king’s favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame.
৩৫জ্ঞানেৰে কাৰ্য কৰা দাসলৈ ৰজাৰ অনুগ্ৰহ থাকে; কিন্তু লজ্জাজনক কাম কৰা দাসলৈ তেওঁৰ ক্ৰোধ জন্মে।
