Numbers 33
1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth from the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Voici les demeures des enfants d’Israël, qui sont sortis de l’Egypte, selon leurs bandes, par l’entremise de Moïse et d’Aaron;
2 And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.
Lesquels Moïse décrivit, selon les lieux de leurs campements qu’ils changeaient par le commandement du Seigneur.
3 And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the next day after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
Partis donc de Ramessès, au premier mois, au quinzième jour du premier mois, le lendemain de la Pâque, les enfants d’Israël, par une main élevée, tous les Egyptiens le voyant,
4 For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, whom the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.
Et ensevelissant leurs premiers-nés qu’avait frappés le Seigneur (or, même sur leurs dieux il avait exercé sa vengeance),
5 And the children of Israel departed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.
Campèrent à Soccoth,
6 And they departed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
Et de Soccoth ils vinrent à Etham, qui est aux derniers confins du désert.
7 And they departed from Etham, and turned again to Pihahiroth, which is before Baalzephon: and they encamped before Migdol.
Sortis donc de là, ils vinrent contre Phihahiroth, qui regarde Béelséphon, et ils campèrent devant Magdalum.
8 And they departed from before Pihahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.
Et partis de Phihahiroth, ils passèrent par le milieu de la mer dans le désert; et marchant durant trois jours par le désert d’Etham, ils campèrent à Mara.
9 And they departed from Marah, and came to Elim: and in Elim were twelve fountains of water, and seventy palm trees; and they encamped there.
Or, partis de Mara, ils vinrent à Elim, où étaient douze sources d’eaux, et soixante-dix palmiers; et ils y campèrent.
10 And they departed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.
Mais étant encore sortis de là, ils plantèrent leurs tentes sur la mer Rouge. Et partis de la mer Rouge,
11 And they departed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.
Ils campèrent dans le désert de Sin;
12 And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.
D’où étant sortis, ils vinrent à Daphca.
13 And they departed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.
Et partis de Daphca, ils campèrent à Alus.
14 And they departed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.
Or, sortis d’Alus, ils plantèrent leurs tentes à Raphidim, où l’eau pour boire manqua au peuple.
15 And they departed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.
Et partis de Raphidim, ils campèrent dans le désert de Sinaï.
16 And they departed from the desert of Sinai, and encamped at Kibrothhattaavah.
Mais, sortis aussi du désert de Sinaï, ils vinrent aux Sépulcres de la concupiscence.
17 And they departed from Kibrothhattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.
Et partis des Sépulcres de la concupiscence, ils campèrent à Haséroth.
18 And they departed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.
Or, de Haséroth, ils vinrent à Rethma.
19 And they departed from Rithmah, and encamped at Rimmonparez.
Et partis de Rethma, ils campèrent à Remmompharès;
20 And they departed from Rimmonparez, and encamped in Libnah.
D’où étant sortis, ils vinrent à Lebna.
21 And they departed from Libnah, and encamped at Rissah.
De Lebna, ils campèrent à Ressa.
22 And they journeyed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.
Et sortis de Cessa, ils vinrent à Céélatha;
23 And they went from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shapher.
D’où étant partis, ils campèrent à la montagne de Sépher.
24 And they departed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.
Sortis de la montagne de Sépher, ils vinrent à Arada.
25 And they departed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.
Partant delà, ils campèrent à Macéloth.
26 And they departed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.
Et étant partis de Macéloth, ils vinrent à Thahath.
27 And they departed from Tahath, and encamped at Tarah.
De Thahath, ils campèrent à Tharé;
28 And they departed from Tarah, and encamped in Mithcah.
D’où étant sortis, ils plantèrent leurs tentes à Methca.
29 And they went from Mithcah, and encamped in Hashmonah.
Et de Methca, ils campèrent à Hesmona.
30 And they departed from Hashmonah, and encamped at Moseroth.
Or, partis de Hesmona, ils vinrent à Moséroth.
31 And they departed from Moseroth, and encamped in Benejaakan.
Et de Moséroth, ils campèrent à Bénéjaacan.
32 And they departed from Benejaakan, and encamped at Horhagidgad.
Mais partis de Bénéjaacan, ils vinrent à la montagne de Gadgad;
33 And they went from Horhagidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.
D’où étant partis ils campèrent à Jétébatha.
34 And they departed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Ebronah.
Et de Jétébatha, ils vinrent à Hébrona.
35 And they departed from Ebronah, and encamped at Eziongaber.
Et, sortis d’Hébrona, ils campèrent à Asiongaber
36 And they departed from Eziongaber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.
Partis de là, ils vinrent au désert de Sin; c’est Cadès.
37 And they departed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.
Et, sortis de Cadès, ils campèrent à la montagne de Hor, aux derniers confins de la terre d’Edom.
38 And Aaron the priest went up to mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel departed from the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.
Or, Aaron, le prêtre, monta sur la montagne de Hor, le Seigneur l’ordonnant, et là il mourut, en l’année quarantième de la sortie des enfants d’Israël de l’Egypte, au cinquième mois, au premier jour du mois,
39 And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.
Comme il avait cent vingt-trois ans.
40 And king Arad the Canaanite, who dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.
Cependant le roi d’Arad, Chananéen, qui habitait vers le midi, apprit que les enfants d’Israël étaient venus dans la terre de Chanaan.
41 And they departed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.
Or, partis de la montagne de Hor, ils campèrent à Salmona;
42 And they departed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.
D’où étant sortis, ils vinrent à Phunon.
43 And they departed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.
Et partis de Phunon, ils campèrent à Oboth.
44 And they departed from Oboth, and encamped in Ijeabarim, in the border of Moab.
Et d’Oboth ils vinrent à Jiéabarim, qui est aux confins des Moabites.
45 And they departed from Iim, and encamped in Dibongad.
Puis, partis de Jiéabarim, ils plantèrent leurs tentes à Dibongad;
46 And they departed from Dibongad, and encamped in Almondiblathaim.
D’où étant sortis, ils campèrent à Helmondéblathaïm.
47 And they departed from Almondiblathaim, and encamped on the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
Et sortis de Helmondéblathaïm, ils vinrent aux montagnes d’Abarim, contre Nabo.
48 And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
Or, partis des montagnes d’Abarim, ils passèrent dans les plaines de Moab, sur le Jourdain, contre Jéricho.
49 And they encamped by Jordan, from Bethjesimoth even to Abelshittim in the plains of Moab.
Et là ils campèrent, depuis Bethsimoth jusqu’à Abelsatim, dans les lieux les plus plats des Moabites,
50 And the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
Où le Seigneur dit à Moïse:
51 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When ye have passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
Ordonne aux enfants d’Israël, et dis-leur: Quand vous aurez passé le Jourdain, entrant dans la terre de Chanaan,
52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their stone images, and destroy all their molten images, and destroy all their high places:
Détruisez tous les habitants de cette terre; brisez les monuments, mettez en pièces les statues, et ravagez tous les hauts lieux,
53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell in it: for I have given you the land to possess it.
Purifiant la terre, et y habitant; car c’est moi qui vous l’ai donnée en possession;
54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
Vous vous la partagerez par le sort. Au plus grand nombre, vous donnerez la partie la plus étendue, et au plus petit nombre, la partie la plus resserrée. Comme le sort sera échu à chacun, ainsi sera donné l’héritage. C’est par tribus et par familles que la possession sera partagée.
55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those whom ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall trouble you in the land in which ye dwell.
Mais si vous ne voulez pas tuer les habitants de la terre, ceux qui resteront seront comme des clous dans vos yeux et des lances dans vos côtés, et ils vous seront contraires dans la terre de votre habitation;
56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do to you, as I thought to do to them.
Et ce que j’avais pensé à leur faire, c’est à vous que je le ferai.
