< Mark 8 >
1 In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples, and saith to them,
Egun hetan, gucizco gendetze handia cen becala, eta ezpaitzuten cer ian leçaten, dei citzan beregana Iesusec bere discipuluac, eta erran ciecen,
2 I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:
Compassione dut populuaz: ecen ia hirur e gun du enequin daudela, eta eztuté cer ian deçaten.
3 And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for some of them came from far.
Eta baldin igor baditzat baruric cein bere etcherat, flacaturen dirade bidean: ecen horietaric batzu vrrundanic ethorri içan dirade.
4 And his disciples answered him, From where can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness?
Eta ihardets cieçoten bere discipuluéc, Nondic hauc hemen nehorc ressasia ahal litzaque oguiz desertuan?
5 And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
Eta interroga citzan, Cembat ogui dituçue? Eta hec erran ceçaten, Çazpi.
6 And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they set them before the people.
Orduan mana ceçan populua iar ledin lurrean: eta harturic çazpi oguiac, gratiác rendatu eta, hauts citzan, eta eman cietzen bere discipuluey, presenta litzatençat: eta presentatu cituzten populuaren aitzinean.
7 And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.
Bacituzten halaber arrain guti batzu, eta gratiác rendaturic, erran ceçan hec-ere presenta litzaten.
8 So they ate, and were satisfied: and they took up of the fragments of food that were left, seven baskets.
Ian ceçaten bada, eta ressasia citecen: eta altcha citzaten çathi soberatuetaric çazpi sasquitara.
9 And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.
Eta ian çutenac ciraden laur millaren inguruä, guero eman ciecén congit.
10 And immediately he entered into a boat with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
Eta bertan uncira sarthuric bere discipuluequin, ethor cedin Dalmanutha bazterretara.
11 And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
Eta ethor citecen Phariseuac, eta has citecen harequin iharduquiten, hari cembeit signoren cerutic galdez caizcala, hura tentatzen çutela.
12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek for a sign? verily I say to you, There shall no sign be given to this generation.
Orduan barnadanic bere spirituan suspirio eguinic, erran ceçan, Cergatic generatione haur signo galdez dago? eguiaz diotsuet generatione huni signoric etzayola emanen.
13 And he left them, and entering into the boat again departed to the other side.
Eta hec vtziric, vncian berriz sarthuric iragan cedin berce aldera.
14 Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the boat with them more than one loaf.
Eta ogui hartzera discipuluey ahanz cequién: eta oguibat baicen etzutén berequin vncian.
15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
Eta mana citzan, cioela, Gogoauçue eta beguira çaitezte Phariseuén altchagarritic, eta Herodesen altchagarritic.
16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
Eta baciharducaten elkarren contra, cioitela, Ceren oguiric eztugun da hori.
17 And when Jesus knew it, he saith to them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?
Eta hori eçagutu çuenean Iesusec, erran ciecen, Cer diharducaçue, ceren oguiric eztuçuen? oraino eztuçue consideratzen ez aditzen? oraino gogortua duçue çuen bihotza.
18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
Beguiac dituçuelaric, eztacussaçue? eta beharriac dituçuelaric, eztançuçue? eta etzarete orhoit?
19 When I broke the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say to him, Twelve.
20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
Eta çazpiac laur milla guiçoney hautsi nerauztenean cembat sasqui çathiz betheric altchatu centuzten? Eta hec erran cieçoten, Çazpi.
21 And he said to them, How is it that ye do not understand?
Eta erran ciecén, Nola eztuçue aditzen?
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man to him, and besought him to touch him.
Eta ethor cedin Bethsaidara: eta presenta cieçoten itsubat, eta othoitz ceguioten, hura hunqui leçan.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw any thing.
Orduan itsuaren escua harturic, eraman ceçan burgutic campora: eta haren beguietara thu eguinic, eta escuac haren gainean eçarriric, interroga ceçan, deus balacussanez.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
Eta harc beguiac altchaturic erran ceçan, Badiacusquiat guiçonac, ecen ohartzen nitziayec arboreac diruditela dabiltzala.
25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
Guero berriz eçar citzan escuac haren beguién gainean, eta berriz goiti beha eraci cieçón: eta senda cedin, eta ikusten cituen vrrundanic-ere claroqui guciac.
26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.
Orduan Iesusec igor ceçan hura bere etcherát, cioela, Ezadila burgura sar, eta nehori ezterroala burguän.
27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying to them, Who do men say that I am?
Eta Iesus eta haren discipuluac handic ilkiric ethor citecen Philipperen Cesarea deitzen deneco burguètara: eta bidean interroga citzan bere discipuluac, ciostela, Nor naicela ni dioite guiçonéc?
28 And they answered, John the Baptist: but some say, Elijah; and others, One of the prophets.
Eta hec ihardets ceçaten, Ioannes Baptista, eta bercéc Elias, eta bercéc Prophetetaric bat.
29 And he saith to them, But who say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith to him, Thou art the Christ.
Orduan harc dioste, Eta çuec ni nor naicela dioçue? Eta ihardesten duela Pierrisec diotsa, Hi aiz Christ.
30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
Orduan debeta citzan mehatchurequin nehori hura ezlerroten harçaz.
31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
Eta has cedin hayén iracasten, ecen behar cela guiçonaren Semeac anhitz suffri leçan, eta reproba ledin Ancianoéz, eta Sacrificadore principaléz, eta Scribéz, eta hil ledin, eta hereneco egunean resuscita ledin.
32 And he spoke that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
Eta claroqui propos hunez minçatzen cen. Orduan apparta ceçan Pierrisec, eta has cequión reprotchatzen.
33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men.
Eta harc itzuliric, eta bere discipuluetarat behaturic reprotcha ceçan Pierris, cioela, Guibelerat adi eneganic Satan: ecen eztituc aditzen Iaincoaren diraden gauçác, baina guiçonén diradenac.
34 And when he had called the people to him with his disciples also, he said to them, Whoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Guero populua beregana deithuric bere discipuluequin, erran ciecén, Norc-ere nahi baitu ene ondoan ethorri, renuntia beça bere buruäz, eta har beça bere crutzea, eta berrait niri.
35 For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
Ecen norc-ere nahi vkanen baitu bere vicia saluatu, galduren du hura: baina norc-ere galduren baitu bere vicia enegatic eta Euangeliogatic, saluaturen du hura.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Ecen cer probetchu du guiçonac, baldin mundu gucia irabaz badeça, eta bere arimá gal badeça?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Edo cer emanen du guiçonac bere arimaren recompensamendutan?
38 Whoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Ecen norc-ere ahalque içanen baita niçaz eta ene hitzéz generatione adultera eta bekatore hunetan, guiçonaren Semea-ere ahalque içanen da harçaz, dathorrenean bere Aitaren glorián Aingueru sainduequin.
