< Luke 23 >
1 And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him to Pilate.
ତତଃ ସଭାସ୍ଥାଃ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱଲୋକା ଉତ୍ଥାଯ ତଂ ପୀଲାତସମ୍ମୁଖଂ ନୀତ୍ୱାପ୍ରୋଦ୍ୟ ୱକ୍ତୁମାରେଭିରେ,
2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.
ସ୍ୱମଭିଷିକ୍ତଂ ରାଜାନଂ ୱଦନ୍ତଂ କୈମରରାଜାଯ କରଦାନଂ ନିଷେଧନ୍ତଂ ରାଜ୍ୟୱିପର୍ୟ୍ୟଯଂ କୁର୍ତ୍ତୁଂ ପ୍ରୱର୍ତ୍ତମାନମ୍ ଏନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତା ୱଯଂ|
3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it.
ତଦା ପୀଲାତସ୍ତଂ ପୃଷ୍ଟୱାନ୍ ତ୍ୱଂ କିଂ ଯିହୂଦୀଯାନାଂ ରାଜା? ସ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁୱାଚ ତ୍ୱଂ ସତ୍ୟମୁକ୍ତୱାନ୍|
4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.
ତଦା ପୀଲାତଃ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକାଦିଲୋକାନ୍ ଜଗାଦ୍, ଅହମେତସ୍ୟ କମପ୍ୟପରାଧଂ ନାପ୍ତୱାନ୍|
5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Judaea, beginning from Galilee to this place.
ତତସ୍ତେ ପୁନଃ ସାହମିନୋ ଭୂତ୍ୱାୱଦନ୍, ଏଷ ଗାଲୀଲ ଏତତ୍ସ୍ଥାନପର୍ୟ୍ୟନ୍ତେ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱସ୍ମିନ୍ ଯିହୂଦାଦେଶେ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱାଲ୍ଲୋକାନୁପଦିଶ୍ୟ କୁପ୍ରୱୃତ୍ତିଂ ଗ୍ରାହୀତୱାନ୍|
6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man was a Galilaean.
ତଦା ପୀଲାତୋ ଗାଲୀଲପ୍ରଦେଶସ୍ୟ ନାମ ଶ୍ରୁତ୍ୱା ପପ୍ରଚ୍ଛ, କିମଯଂ ଗାଲୀଲୀଯୋ ଲୋକଃ?
7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged to Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself was also at Jerusalem at that time.
ତତଃ ସ ଗାଲୀଲ୍ପ୍ରଦେଶୀଯହେରୋଦ୍ରାଜସ୍ୟ ତଦା ସ୍ଥିତେସ୍ତସ୍ୟ ସମୀପେ ଯୀଶୁଂ ପ୍ରେଷଯାମାସ|
8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he had been for a long time, desirous to see him, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to see some miracle done by him.
ତଦା ହେରୋଦ୍ ଯୀଶୁଂ ୱିଲୋକ୍ୟ ସନ୍ତୁତୋଷ, ଯତଃ ସ ତସ୍ୟ ବହୁୱୃତ୍ତାନ୍ତଶ୍ରୱଣାତ୍ ତସ୍ୟ କିଞିଚଦାଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ୟକର୍ମ୍ମ ପଶ୍ୟତି ଇତ୍ୟାଶାଂ କୃତ୍ୱା ବହୁକାଲମାରଭ୍ୟ ତଂ ଦ୍ରଷ୍ଟୁଂ ପ୍ରଯାସଂ କୃତୱାନ୍|
9 Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.
ତସ୍ମାତ୍ ତଂ ବହୁକଥାଃ ପପ୍ରଚ୍ଛ କିନ୍ତୁ ସ ତସ୍ୟ କସ୍ୟାପି ୱାକ୍ୟସ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁତ୍ତରଂ ନୋୱାଚ|
10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.
ଅଥ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକା ଅଧ୍ୟାପକାଶ୍ଚ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ତିଷ୍ଠନ୍ତଃ ସାହସେନ ତମପୱଦିତୁଂ ପ୍ରାରେଭିରେ|
11 And Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.
ହେରୋଦ୍ ତସ୍ୟ ସେନାଗଣଶ୍ଚ ତମୱଜ୍ଞାଯ ଉପହାସତ୍ୱେନ ରାଜୱସ୍ତ୍ରଂ ପରିଧାପ୍ୟ ପୁନଃ ପୀଲାତଂ ପ୍ରତି ତଂ ପ୍ରାହିଣୋତ୍|
12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.
ପୂର୍ୱ୍ୱଂ ହେରୋଦ୍ପୀଲାତଯୋଃ ପରସ୍ପରଂ ୱୈରଭାୱ ଆସୀତ୍ କିନ୍ତୁ ତଦ୍ଦିନେ ଦ୍ୱଯୋ ର୍ମେଲନଂ ଜାତମ୍|
13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ ପୀଲାତଃ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକାନ୍ ଶାସକାନ୍ ଲୋକାଂଶ୍ଚ ଯୁଗପଦାହୂଯ ବଭାଷେ,
14 Said to them, Ye have brought this man to me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man concerning those things of which ye accuse him:
ରାଜ୍ୟୱିପର୍ୟ୍ୟଯକାରକୋଯମ୍ ଇତ୍ୟୁକ୍ତ୍ୱା ମନୁଷ୍ୟମେନଂ ମମ ନିକଟମାନୈଷ୍ଟ କିନ୍ତୁ ପଶ୍ୟତ ଯୁଷ୍ମାକଂ ସମକ୍ଷମ୍ ଅସ୍ୟ ୱିଚାରଂ କୃତ୍ୱାପି ପ୍ରୋକ୍ତାପୱାଦାନୁରୂପେଣାସ୍ୟ କୋପ୍ୟପରାଧଃ ସପ୍ରମାଣୋ ନ ଜାତଃ,
15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done to him.
ଯୂଯଞ୍ଚ ହେରୋଦଃ ସନ୍ନିଧୌ ପ୍ରେଷିତା ମଯା ତତ୍ରାସ୍ୟ କୋପ୍ୟପରାଧସ୍ତେନାପି ନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତଃ| ପଶ୍ୟତାନେନ ୱଧହେତୁକଂ କିମପି ନାପରାଦ୍ଧଂ|
16 I will therefore chastise him, and release him.
ତସ୍ମାଦେନଂ ତାଡଯିତ୍ୱା ୱିହାସ୍ୟାମି|
17 ( For of necessity he must release one to them at the feast.)
ତତ୍ରୋତ୍ସୱେ ତେଷାମେକୋ ମୋଚଯିତୱ୍ୟଃ|
18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release to us Barabbas:
ଇତି ହେତୋସ୍ତେ ପ୍ରୋଚ୍ଚୈରେକଦା ପ୍ରୋଚୁଃ, ଏନଂ ଦୂରୀକୃତ୍ୟ ବରବ୍ବାନାମାନଂ ମୋଚଯ|
19 ( Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)
ସ ବରବ୍ବା ନଗର ଉପପ୍ଲୱୱଧାପରାଧାଭ୍ୟାଂ କାରାଯାଂ ବଦ୍ଧ ଆସୀତ୍|
20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spoke again to them.
କିନ୍ତୁ ପୀଲାତୋ ଯୀଶୁଂ ମୋଚଯିତୁଂ ୱାଞ୍ଛନ୍ ପୁନସ୍ତାନୁୱାଚ|
21 But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.
ତଥାପ୍ୟେନଂ କ୍ରୁଶେ ୱ୍ୟଧ କ୍ରୁଶେ ୱ୍ୟଧେତି ୱଦନ୍ତସ୍ତେ ରୁରୁୱୁଃ|
22 And he said to them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.
ତତଃ ସ ତୃତୀଯୱାରଂ ଜଗାଦ କୁତଃ? ସ କିଂ କର୍ମ୍ମ କୃତୱାନ୍? ନାହମସ୍ୟ କମପି ୱଧାପରାଧଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତଃ କେୱଲଂ ତାଡଯିତ୍ୱାମୁଂ ତ୍ୟଜାମି|
23 And they were insistent with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.
ତଥାପି ତେ ପୁନରେନଂ କ୍ରୁଶେ ୱ୍ୟଧ ଇତ୍ୟୁକ୍ତ୍ୱା ପ୍ରୋଚ୍ଚୈର୍ଦୃଢଂ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥଯାଞ୍ଚକ୍ରିରେ;
24 And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
ତତଃ ପ୍ରଧାନଯାଜକାଦୀନାଂ କଲରୱେ ପ୍ରବଲେ ସତି ତେଷାଂ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନାରୂପଂ କର୍ତ୍ତୁଂ ପୀଲାତ ଆଦିଦେଶ|
25 And he released to them him that for sedition and murder had been cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
ରାଜଦ୍ରୋହୱଧଯୋରପରାଧେନ କାରାସ୍ଥଂ ଯଂ ଜନଂ ତେ ଯଯାଚିରେ ତଂ ମୋଚଯିତ୍ୱା ଯୀଶୁଂ ତେଷାମିଚ୍ଛାଯାଂ ସମାର୍ପଯତ୍|
26 And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.
ଅଥ ତେ ଯୀଶୁଂ ଗୃହୀତ୍ୱା ଯାନ୍ତି, ଏତର୍ହି ଗ୍ରାମାଦାଗତଂ ଶିମୋନନାମାନଂ କୁରୀଣୀଯଂ ଜନଂ ଧୃତ୍ୱା ଯୀଶୋଃ ପଶ୍ଚାନ୍ନେତୁଂ ତସ୍ୟ ସ୍କନ୍ଧେ କ୍ରୁଶମର୍ପଯାମାସୁଃ|
27 And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, who also bewailed and lamented him.
ତତୋ ଲୋକାରଣ୍ୟମଧ୍ୟେ ବହୁସ୍ତ୍ରିଯୋ ରୁଦତ୍ୟୋ ୱିଲପନ୍ତ୍ୟଶ୍ଚ ଯୀଶୋଃ ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ ଯଯୁଃ|
28 But Jesus turning to them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.
କିନ୍ତୁ ସ ୱ୍ୟାଘୁଟ୍ୟ ତା ଉୱାଚ, ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମୋ ନାର୍ୟ୍ୟୋ ଯୁଯଂ ମଦର୍ଥଂ ନ ରୁଦିତ୍ୱା ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥଂ ସ୍ୱାପତ୍ୟାର୍ଥଞ୍ଚ ରୁଦିତି;
29 For, behold, the days are coming, in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts which never nursed.
ପଶ୍ୟତ ଯଃ କଦାପି ଗର୍ଭୱତ୍ୟୋ ନାଭୱନ୍ ସ୍ତନ୍ୟଞ୍ଚ ନାପାଯଯନ୍ ତାଦୃଶୀ ର୍ୱନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ଯଦା ଧନ୍ୟା ୱକ୍ଷ୍ୟନ୍ତି ସ କାଲ ଆଯାତି|
30 Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
ତଦା ହେ ଶୈଲା ଅସ୍ମାକମୁପରି ପତତ, ହେ ଉପଶୈଲା ଅସ୍ମାନାଚ୍ଛାଦଯତ କଥାମୀଦୃଶୀଂ ଲୋକା ୱକ୍ଷ୍ୟନ୍ତି|
31 For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
ଯତଃ ସତେଜସି ଶାଖିନି ଚେଦେତଦ୍ ଘଟତେ ତର୍ହି ଶୁଷ୍କଶାଖିନି କିଂ ନ ଘଟିଷ୍ୟତେ?
32 And two others, who were malefactors, were led with him to be put to death.
ତଦା ତେ ହନ୍ତୁଂ ଦ୍ୱାୱପରାଧିନୌ ତେନ ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧଂ ନିନ୍ୟୁଃ|
33 And when they had come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
ଅପରଂ ଶିରଃକପାଲନାମକସ୍ଥାନଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ୟ ତଂ କ୍ରୁଶେ ୱିୱିଧୁଃ; ତଦ୍ଦ୍ୱଯୋରପରାଧିନୋରେକଂ ତସ୍ୟ ଦକ୍ଷିଣୋ ତଦନ୍ୟଂ ୱାମେ କ୍ରୁଶେ ୱିୱିଧୁଃ|
34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
ତଦା ଯୀଶୁରକଥଯତ୍, ହେ ପିତରେତାନ୍ କ୍ଷମସ୍ୱ ଯତ ଏତେ ଯତ୍ କର୍ମ୍ମ କୁର୍ୱ୍ୱନ୍ତି ତନ୍ ନ ୱିଦୁଃ; ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍ତେ ଗୁଟିକାପାତଂ କୃତ୍ୱା ତସ୍ୟ ୱସ୍ତ୍ରାଣି ୱିଭଜ୍ୟ ଜଗୃହୁଃ|
35 And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them mocked him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he is Christ, the chosen of God.
ତତ୍ର ଲୋକସଂଘସ୍ତିଷ୍ଠନ୍ ଦଦର୍ଶ; ତେ ତେଷାଂ ଶାସକାଶ୍ଚ ତମୁପହସ୍ୟ ଜଗଦୁଃ, ଏଷ ଇତରାନ୍ ରକ୍ଷିତୱାନ୍ ଯଦୀଶ୍ୱରେଣାଭିରୁଚିତୋ ଽଭିଷିକ୍ତସ୍ତ୍ରାତା ଭୱତି ତର୍ହି ସ୍ୱମଧୁନା ରକ୍ଷତୁ|
36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
ତଦନ୍ୟଃ ସେନାଗଣା ଏତ୍ୟ ତସ୍ମୈ ଅମ୍ଲରସଂ ଦତ୍ୱା ପରିହସ୍ୟ ପ୍ରୋୱାଚ,
37 And saying, If thou art the king of the Jews, save thyself.
ଚେତ୍ତ୍ୱଂ ଯିହୂଦୀଯାନାଂ ରାଜାସି ତର୍ହି ସ୍ୱଂ ରକ୍ଷ|
38 And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
ଯିହୂଦୀଯାନାଂ ରାଜେତି ୱାକ୍ୟଂ ଯୂନାନୀଯରୋମୀଯେବ୍ରୀଯାକ୍ଷରୈ ର୍ଲିଖିତଂ ତଚ୍ଛିରସ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱେଽସ୍ଥାପ୍ୟତ|
39 And one of the malefactors who were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou art Christ, save thyself and us.
ତଦୋଭଯପାର୍ଶ୍ୱଯୋ ର୍ୱିଦ୍ଧୌ ଯାୱପରାଧିନୌ ତଯୋରେକସ୍ତଂ ୱିନିନ୍ଦ୍ୟ ବଭାଷେ, ଚେତ୍ତ୍ୱମ୍ ଅଭିଷିକ୍ତୋସି ତର୍ହି ସ୍ୱମାୱାଞ୍ଚ ରକ୍ଷ|
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
କିନ୍ତ୍ୱନ୍ୟସ୍ତଂ ତର୍ଜଯିତ୍ୱାୱଦତ୍, ଈଶ୍ୱରାତ୍ତୱ କିଞ୍ଚିଦପି ଭଯଂ ନାସ୍ତି କିଂ? ତ୍ୱମପି ସମାନଦଣ୍ଡୋସି,
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
ଯୋଗ୍ୟପାତ୍ରେ ଆୱାଂ ସ୍ୱସ୍ୱକର୍ମ୍ମଣାଂ ସମୁଚିତଫଲଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ନୁୱଃ କିନ୍ତ୍ୱନେନ କିମପି ନାପରାଦ୍ଧଂ|
42 And he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
ଅଥ ସ ଯୀଶୁଂ ଜଗାଦ ହେ ପ୍ରଭେ ଭୱାନ୍ ସ୍ୱରାଜ୍ୟପ୍ରୱେଶକାଲେ ମାଂ ସ୍ମରତୁ|
43 And Jesus said to him, Verily I say to thee, This day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
ତଦା ଯୀଶୁଃ କଥିତୱାନ୍ ତ୍ୱାଂ ଯଥାର୍ଥଂ ୱଦାମି ତ୍ୱମଦ୍ୟୈୱ ମଯା ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧଂ ପରଲୋକସ୍ୟ ସୁଖସ୍ଥାନଂ ପ୍ରାପ୍ସ୍ୟସି|
44 And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.
ଅପରଞ୍ଚ ଦ୍ୱିତୀଯଯାମାତ୍ ତୃତୀଯଯାମପର୍ୟ୍ୟନ୍ତଂ ରୱେସ୍ତେଜସୋନ୍ତର୍ହିତତ୍ୱାତ୍ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱଦେଶୋଽନ୍ଧକାରେଣାୱୃତୋ
45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in the midst.
ମନ୍ଦିରସ୍ୟ ଯୱନିକା ଚ ଛିଦ୍ୟମାନା ଦ୍ୱିଧା ବଭୂୱ|
46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
ତତୋ ଯୀଶୁରୁଚ୍ଚୈରୁୱାଚ, ହେ ପିତ ର୍ମମାତ୍ମାନଂ ତୱ କରେ ସମର୍ପଯେ, ଇତ୍ୟୁକ୍ତ୍ୱା ସ ପ୍ରାଣାନ୍ ଜହୌ|
47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
ତଦୈତା ଘଟନା ଦୃଷ୍ଟ୍ୱା ଶତସେନାପତିରୀଶ୍ୱରଂ ଧନ୍ୟମୁକ୍ତ୍ୱା କଥିତୱାନ୍ ଅଯଂ ନିତାନ୍ତଂ ସାଧୁମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଆସୀତ୍|
48 And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.
ଅଥ ଯାୱନ୍ତୋ ଲୋକା ଦ୍ରଷ୍ଟୁମ୍ ଆଗତାସ୍ତେ ତା ଘଟନା ଦୃଷ୍ଟ୍ୱା ୱକ୍ଷଃସୁ କରାଘାତଂ କୃତ୍ୱା ୱ୍ୟାଚୁଟ୍ୟ ଗତାଃ|
49 And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.
ଯୀଶୋ ର୍ଜ୍ଞାତଯୋ ଯା ଯା ଯୋଷିତଶ୍ଚ ଗାଲୀଲସ୍ତେନ ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧମାଯାତାସ୍ତା ଅପି ଦୂରେ ସ୍ଥିତ୍ୱା ତତ୍ ସର୍ୱ୍ୱଂ ଦଦୃଶୁଃ|
50 And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:
ତଦା ଯିହୂଦୀଯାନାଂ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାଂ କ୍ରିଯାଞ୍ଚାସମ୍ମନ୍ୟମାନ ଈଶ୍ୱରସ୍ୟ ରାଜତ୍ୱମ୍ ଅପେକ୍ଷମାଣୋ
51 (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them; ) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.
ଯିହୂଦିଦେଶୀଯୋ ଽରିମଥୀଯନଗରୀଯୋ ଯୂଷଫ୍ନାମା ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଭଦ୍ରୋ ଧାର୍ମ୍ମିକଶ୍ଚ ପୁମାନ୍
52 This man went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
ପୀଲାତାନ୍ତିକଂ ଗତ୍ୱା ଯୀଶୋ ର୍ଦେହଂ ଯଯାଚେ|
53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, where man was never before laid.
ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ ୱପୁରୱରୋହ୍ୟ ୱାସସା ସଂୱେଷ୍ଟ୍ୟ ଯତ୍ର କୋପି ମାନୁଷୋ ନାସ୍ଥାପ୍ୟତ ତସ୍ମିନ୍ ଶୈଲେ ସ୍ୱାତେ ଶ୍ମଶାନେ ତଦସ୍ଥାପଯତ୍|
54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
ତଦ୍ଦିନମାଯୋଜନୀଯଂ ଦିନଂ ୱିଶ୍ରାମୱାରଶ୍ଚ ସମୀପଃ|
55 And the women also, who came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
ଅପରଂ ଯୀଶୁନା ସାର୍ଦ୍ଧଂ ଗାଲୀଲ ଆଗତା ଯୋଷିତଃ ପଶ୍ଚାଦିତ୍ୱା ଶ୍ମଶାନେ ତତ୍ର ଯଥା ୱପୁଃ ସ୍ଥାପିତଂ ତଚ୍ଚ ଦୃଷ୍ଟ୍ୱା
56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested on the sabbath according to the commandment.
