Leviticus 2

1 And when any will offer a meat offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense on it:

Si une personne veut présenter une oblation au Seigneur, son offrande doit être de fleur de farine. Elle l’arrosera d’huile et mettra dessus de l’encens;

2 And he shall bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests: and he shall take from it his handful of its flour, and of its oil, with all of its frankincense; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour to the LORD:

puis elle l’apportera aux fils d’Aaron, aux pontifes. L’Un d’eux y prendra une pleine poignée de cette farine et de cette huile, indépendamment de tout l’encens; et il fera fumer ce mémorial sur l’autel, combustion d’un parfum agréable au Seigneur.

3 And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.

Le surplus de l’oblation sera pour Aaron et ses fils: portion éminemment sainte des sacrifices brûlés devant le Seigneur.

4 And if thou shalt bring an oblation of a meat offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.

Si tu veux offrir, comme oblation, des pièces de four, ce sera de la fleur de farine, en gâteaux azymes pétris avec de l’huile, ou en galettes azymes ointes d’huile.

5 And if thy oblation shall be a meat offering baked in a pan, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mixed with oil.

Si ton offrande est une oblation préparée sur la poêle, qu’elle soit de fleur de farine pétrie dans l’huile, sans levain.

6 Thou shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil on it: it is a meat offering.

Qu’on la divise en morceaux, puis tu y répandras de l’huile: c’est une oblation.

7 And if thy oblation shall be a meat offering baked in the fryingpan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

Si ton offrande est une oblation faite dans le poêlon, elle doit se faire de fleur de farine avec de l’huile.

8 And thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these things to the LORD: and when it is presented to the priest, he shall bring it to the altar.

L’Oblation préparée de ces diverses manières, tu l’apporteras au Seigneur: on la présentera au pontife, qui l’approchera de l’autel,

9 And the priest shall take from the meat offering a memorial of it, and shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour to the LORD.

puis prélèvera de cette oblation le mémorial, qu’il fera fumer sur l’autel: combustion d’odeur agréable au Seigneur;

10 And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.

et le surplus de l’oblation sera pour Aaron et ses fils, comme éminemment sainte entre les sacrifices du Seigneur.

11 No meat offering, which ye shall bring to the LORD, shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.

Quelque oblation que vous offriez à l’Éternel, qu’elle ne soit pas fermentée; car nulle espèce de levain ni de miel ne doit fumer, comme combustion, en l’honneur de l’Éternel.

12 As for the oblation of the firstfruits, ye shall offer them to the LORD: but they shall not be burnt on the altar for a sweet savour.

Comme offrande de prémices, vous en ferez hommage à l’Éternel; mais ils ne viendraient point sur l’autel en agréable odeur.

13 And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou allow the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thy offerings thou shalt offer salt.

Tout ce que tu présenteras comme oblation, tu le garniras de sel, et tu n’omettras point ce sel, signe d’alliance avec ton Dieu, à côté de ton oblation: à toutes tes offrandes tu joindras du sel.

14 And if thou shalt offer a meat offering of thy firstfruits to the LORD, thou shalt offer for the meat offering of thy firstfruits green ears of grain dried by the fire, even grain beaten out of full ears.

Lorsque tu offriras au Seigneur l’oblation des prémices, c’est en épis torréfiés au feu, réduits en gruau pur, que tu offriras l’oblation de tes prémices.

15 And thou shalt put oil upon it, and lay frankincense on it: it is a meat offering.

Tu y verseras de l’huile et y mettras de l’encens: c’est une oblation.

16 And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of its beaten grain, and part of its oil, with all its frankincense: it is an offering made by fire to the LORD.

Le pontife en fera fumer le mémorial, tiré du gruau et de l’huile, indépendamment de tout l’encens: combustion en l’honneur du Seigneur.
