Leviticus 18
1 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Habló Yahvé a Moisés, diciendo:
2 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, I am the LORD your God.
“Habla a los hijos de Israel y diles: Yo soy Yahvé vuestro Dios.
3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, in which ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, where I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
No hagáis lo que se hace en la tierra de Egipto, donde habéis morado; ni hagáis lo que se hace en el país de Canaán adonde Yo os llevo; no sigáis sus costumbres.
4 Ye shall perform my judgments, and keep my ordinances, to walk in them: I am the LORD your God.
Cumplid mis mandamientos y guardad mis preceptos, caminando por ellos. Yo soy Yahvé, vuestro Dios.
5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man doeth, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
Guardad mis mandamientos y mis preceptos. El hombre que los cumpliere vivirá por ellos. Yo soy Yahvé.
6 None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
Ninguno de vosotros se acerque a una consanguínea suya para descubrir su desnudez. Yo soy Yahvé.
7 The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
No descubrirás la desnudez de tu padre, ni la desnudez de tu madre. Es tu madre; no descubrirás la desnudez de ella.
8 The nakedness of thy father’s wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father’s nakedness.
No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu padre; es la desnudez de tu padre.
9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
No descubrirás la desnudez de tu hermana, hija de tu padre o hija de tu madre, nacida en casa o fuera de ella.
10 The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thy own nakedness.
No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de tu hijo o de la hija de tu hija, pues es tu propia desnudez.
11 The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten by thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
No descubrirás la desnudez de la hija de la mujer de tu padre, engendrada de tu padre, que es tu hermana.
12 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman.
No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu padre; es carne de tu padre.
13 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman.
No descubrirás la desnudez de la hermana de tu madre, es carne de tu madre.
14 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thy aunt.
No descubrirás la desnudez del hermano de tu padre; no te acercarás a su mujer; es tu tía.
15 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
No descubrirás la desnudez de tu nuera; es la mujer de tu hijo; no descubrirás su desnudez.
16 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother’s wife: it is thy brother’s nakedness.
No descubrirás la desnudez de la mujer de tu hermano; es la desnudez de tu hermano.
17 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
No descubrirás la desnudez de una mujer y la de su hija, ni tomarás la hija de su hijo ni la hija de su hija para descubrir su desnudez; son parientas cercanas, sería un crimen.
18 Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
No tomarás a una mujer juntamente con su hermana, haciéndola rival de ella y descubriendo su desnudez mientras viva la primera.
19 Also thou shalt not approach to a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
Tampoco te acercarás a una mujer en la impureza de su inmundicia para descubrir su desnudez.
20 Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour’s wife, to defile thyself with her.
No te juntes carnalmente con la mujer de tu prójimo, contaminándote con ella.
21 And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
No darás ningún hijo tuyo para consagrarlo a Moloc; no profanarás así el nombre de tu Dios. Yo soy Yahvé.
22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
No te acostarás con varón como con mujer; es abominación.
23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself with it: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down with it: it is confusion.
No te copularás con bestia, contaminándote con ella. La mujer no se pondrá delante de una bestia para unirse con ella; es cosa perversa.
24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
No os manchéis con ninguna de estas (abominaciones), pues con ellas se han contaminado las naciones que Yo voy a arrojar de vuestra vista.
25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit its iniquity upon it, and the land itself spueth out her inhabitants.
Se ha manchado el país, por lo cual castigaré su maldad, y el país vomitará a sus habitantes.
26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
Vosotros, pues, guardad mis preceptos y mis leyes, y no cometáis ninguna de estas abominaciones, tanto los de vuestro pueblo, como los extranjeros que moran entre vosotros.
27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, who were before you, and the land is defiled; )
Porque todas estas abominaciones han cometido los hombres de aquella tierra, anteriores a vosotros, y por eso se ha contaminado el país.
28 That the land may not spue you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
Mirad, no sea que os vomite la tierra, cuando la contaminéis, como vomitó a las naciones anteriores a vosotros;
29 For whoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
porque todos los que cometan una de estas abominaciones, todos ellos serán exterminados de en medio de su pueblo.
30 Therefore shall ye keep my ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves in them: I am the LORD your God.
Guardad, pues, mis preceptos; no practiquéis ninguna de estas costumbres abominables que se practicaban antes de vosotros, ni os contaminéis con ellas. Yo soy Yahvé, vuestro Dios.”
