< Lamentations 3 >

1 I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
Izaho ilay lehilahy nahita fahoriana tamin’ ny tsorakazon’ ny fahatezerany.
2 He hath led me, and brought me into darkness, but not into light.
Izaho no notarihiny sy nampandehaniny ho amin’ ny maizina, fa tsy ho amin’ ny mazava.
3 Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand against me all the day.
Izaho ihany no asian’ ny tànany mandritra ny andro mandrakariva.
4 My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.
Nataony antitra ny nofoko sy ny hoditro, notapatapahiny ny taolako.
5 He hath besieged me, and surrounded me with gall and travail.
Manorina izay hamelezany ahy Izy ary manemitra ahy amin’ ny zava-mangidy sy ny fahoriana.
6 He hath set me in dark places, as they that are dead of old.
Ampitoeriny ao amin’ ny maizina toy izay efa maty fahagola aho.
7 He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.
Nofefeny manodidina aho ka tsy afa-nivoaka, nataony mavesatra ny gadrako.
8 Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.
Ary na dia mitaraina sy minananana aza aho, dia tampenany ny fivavako.
9 He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.
Vato voapaika no narafiny natampiny ny lalako, naolikoliny ny alehako.
10 He was to me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.
Tonga bera manotrika ahy Izy, ary toy ny liona ao amin’ ny fierena;
11 He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.
Namily ny alehako Izy, ary noviravirainy aho ka nataony mahatsiravina.
12 He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
Nanenjana ny tsipìkany Izy ka nanangana ahy ho toy ny marika hokendrena zana-tsipìka.
13 He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
Nampitsatoka ny zana-tsipìkany tamin’ ny voako Izy.
14 I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.
Tonga fihomehezan’ ny fireneko rehetra aho sady ataony an-kira mandritra ny andro.
15 He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunk with wormwood.
Novokisany zava-mangidy aho ary nobobohany zava-mahafaty.
16 He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.
Ary notorotoroiny tamin’ ny sila-bato ny nifiko, sady natsinkasinkasiny tamin’ ny lavenona aho.
17 And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgot prosperity.
Ary noroahinao tsy hahita fiadanana ny fanahiko, ka efa hadinoko ny tsara.
18 And I said, My strength and my hope hath perished from the LORD:
Dia hoy izaho: Levona ny faharetako sy ny fanantenako an’ i Jehovah.
19 Remembering my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
Tsarovy ny fahoriako sy ny fanjenjenako, dia ny zava-mahafaty sy ny rano mangidy.
20 My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
Tsaroan’ ny fanahiko indrindra izany, ka mitanondrika ato anatiko izy.
21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
Izany no ho eritreretiko ato am-poko, ka dia hanantena aho.
22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
Ny famindram-pon’ i Jehovah no tsy nahalany ritra antsika, fa tsy mitsahatra ny fiantrany.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Vaovao isa-maraina izany; lehibe ny fahamarinanao.
24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
Jehovah no anjarako, hoy ny fanahiko, ka dia hanantena Azy aho.
25 The LORD is good to them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
Tsara Jehovah amin’ izay manantena Azy, dia amin’ ny olona izay mitady Azy.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Tsara ny miandry ny famonjen’ i Jehovah amin’ ny fanginana.
27 It is good for a man that he should bear the yoke in his youth.
Tsara amin’ ny olona ny mitondra zioga, raha mbola tanora izy.
28 He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.
Aoka hanjokaiky irery izy ka hangina, raha ampitondraina izany.
29 He putteth his mouth in the dust; if there may be hope.
Aoka hanohoka ny vavany eo amin’ ny vovoka izy, angamba hisy hantenaina.
30 He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.
Aoka hanolotra ny takolany ho amin’ izay mamely azy izy ka ho feno latsa.
31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:
Fa tsy hanary mandrakizay ny Tompo;
32 But though he causeth grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.
Eny fa na dia mampahory aza Izy, dia mbola hiantra ihany araka ny haben’ ny famindram-pony.
33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.
Fa tsy sitrany ny mampahory na mampalahelo ny zanak’ olombelona.
34 To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
Ny fanitsakitsahana ny mpifatotra rehetra ambonin’ ny tany ho eo ambanin’ ny tongotra,
35 To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,
Ny familiana ny rariny amin’ ny olona eo anatrehan’ ny Avo Indrindra,
36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.
Ny famadihana ny adin’ ny olona, dia samy tsy sitraky ny Tompo.
37 Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?
Iza moa no miteny, ka dia mahatonga izany, raha tsy zavatra efa nodidian’ ny Tompo?
38 Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
Tsy avy amin’ ny vavan’ ny Avo Indrindra va no ivoahan’ ny soa sy ny loza?
39 Why doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
Koa ahoana no imonomononan’ ny olona mbola velona, fa no tsy aleo misento noho ny amin’ ny fahotany avy?
40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.
Aoka isika handinika sy hamantatra ny alehantsika ka hiverina indray amin’ i Jehovah.
41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens.
Aoka hasandratsika amin’ Andriamanitra any an-danitra ny fontsika sy ny tanantsika.
42 We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.
Izahay efa nanota sy nanao ditra, ary Hianao kosa tsy namela heloka.
43 Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.
Nisarona fahatezerana Hianao ka nanenjika anay; eny, novonoinao izahay, fa tsy niantranao.
44 Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.
Nisarona rahona Hianao, ka dia voasakana ny vavaka.
45 Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people.
Nataonao tahaka ny fakofako sy ny zavatra nariana teo afovoan’ ny firenena izahay.
46 All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
Ny fahavalonay rehetra misanasana vava aminay.
47 Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.
Mahavoa anay ny tahotra sy ny lavaka ary ny fandringanana sy ny fahatorotoroana.
48 My eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
Rano mandriaka no mijononoka amin’ ny masoko noho ny faharatran’ ny oloko zanakavavy.
49 My eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission,
Ny masoko mandrotsa-dranomaso ka tsy mijanona, eny, tsy misy fiatoana,
50 Till the LORD shall look down, and behold from heaven.
Ambara-pitazan’ i Jehovah ka ho tsinjony any an-danitra.
51 My eye affecteth my heart because of all the daughters of my city.
Ny masoko mampiditra fahoriana ho an’ ny fanahiko noho ny amin’ ny zanakavavin’ ny tanànako rehetra.
52 My enemies chased me hard, like a bird, without cause.
Izay fahavaloko tsy ahoan-tsy ahoana dia nanenjika ahy mafy hoatra ny fanenjika voron-kely.
53 They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.
Nanjera ahy tao an-davaka famoriandrano izy ka nitady hahafaty ahy sady nitora-bato ahy.
54 Waters flowed over my head; then I said, I am cut off.
Mandifotra ny lohako ny rano, ka dia hoy izaho: Maty aho ity!
55 I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon.
Jehovah ô, niantso ny anaranao tany an-davaka lalina indrindra aho.
56 Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thy ear at my breathing, at my cry.
Ny feoko dia efa renao, aza tampenana ny sofinao, raha mitaraina mitady izay mba hiainana kely aho.
57 Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
Nanakaiky Hianao tamin’ ny andro niantsoako Anao, ka dia hoy Hianao: Aza matahotra.
58 O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
Tompo ô, Hianao nandahatra ny adiko izay nikasika ny aiko, eny, nanavotra ny aiko Hianao.
59 O LORD, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.
Jehovah ô, hitanao ny fitsarana miangatra natao tamiko, ka mba tsarao ny adiko.
60 Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me.
Hitanao ny famalian-dratsy rehetra ataon’ ireo, dia ny saina rehetra entiny mamely ahy
61 Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations against me;
Jehovah ô, efa renao ny latsa ataony, dia ny saina rehetra entiny mamely ahy,
62 The lips of those that rose up against me, and they plot against me all the day.
Dia ny molotr’ izay mitsangana hanohitra ahy sy ny saina ataony mandritra ny andro hamelezana ahy.
63 Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their music.
Jereo ny fipetrany sy ny fitsangany, fa ataony an-kira aho.
64 Render to them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.
Hovalianao araka ny asan’ ny tànany izy, Jehovah ô.
65 Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse to them.
Eny, hohamaizininao ny fony, hihatra aminy ny ozonao.
66 Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.
Henjehinao amin’ ny fahatezerana izy ka haringanao tsy ho etỳ ambanin’ ny lanitr’ i Jehovah.
