< John 12 >

1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
Kalkân kût rang sûnruk motona Jisua chu thina renga a kaithoi Lazarus omna Bethany khuoa a sea.
2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
Ama rangin kholoibu nêk rang an mintuo pea, Martha hah bu-an, semin a san ngeia, Lazarus chu dosânga Jisua bukhalâi otpui ngei lâia inkhat ani.
3 Then Mary took a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
Hanchu Mary'n nard sariek mirimhoi man luttak liter in-ang a hong chôia, Jisua ke a buoka, a sam leh a ke a hûi pea. Ha sariek mirimhoi han insûng pumpui asip zit zoi.
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, who was to betray him,
Jisua ruoisingei lâia inkhat Judas Iscariot, ama a minsûr rangpu han,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
“Hi sariek mirimhoi hih ithomo duli razanthumin juorin male inrieng ngei kôm a pêk loi?” a tia.
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bore what was put in it.
Hi chong hih inrieng ngei rang lunghâng ân shak sika a ti nimaka, inru ani sika ani. Ha mi han sumkok a chôia asûnga sum hah ama rangin a lâk ngâi sikin ani.
7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: for the day of my burial hath she kept this.
Aniatachu, Jisua'n a kôm, “Rokôk no roh! a dôn hih phûma ko om nia rangin rê rese.
8 For the poor ye have always with you; but me ye have not always.
Inrieng ngei chu nin kôma om tit rang an ni, kei chu nin kôm om bang no ning,” a tia.
9 Many people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
Mi tamtakin Bethany khuoa Jisua a om ti an rietin chu Jisua mu rangin le Lazarus Jisua'n thina renga a kaithoi nôkpu mu sa rangin an sea.
10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
Hanchu Ochaisingei han Lazarus khom that sa rangin an bôka,
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
ama sika Juda tamtakin anni ngei hengin Jisua an iem zoi sikin.
12 On the next day many people that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
Anangtûka chu Kalkân kût khohoia hong loko tamtakin Jisua Jerusalema a hong ti an rieta.
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Masikin letûmbuongei an chôia ama lamdon rangin an sea, “Hosanna! Pumapa riminga juongpu chu Pathien'n satvur rese! Pathien'n Israel Rêngpa satvur rese!” tiin an inieka.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written,
Jisua'n sakuording inkhat a mua, a chunga a chuonga, Pathien Lekhabu'n ati anghan,
15 Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on a donkey’s colt.
“Chi no roh, Zion khopuilien! Ne Rêng hah sakuordingte, chunga chuongin a hong ani.”
16 These things his disciples understood not at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written concerning him, and that they had done these things to him.
Ha chong hah aphut han chu a ruoisingeiin riet thei mak ngeia; aniatachu Jisua inlaltakin inthoiin a om suo tena chu Pathien Lekhabu'n ama chungroi a lei miziek ani ti le a chunga ha anga han an lei tho ti an riet zoi.
17 The people therefore that were with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bore witness.
Jisua'n Lazarus thân renga a koi suoka, thina renga a kaithoi lâia mipui om ngei han a thurchi an misîr tir zoia.
18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
Ha sininkhêl hah an riet sikin mipui ngeiin an lei don ani.
19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
Hanchu Phariseengei han, “En ta u, ite chang khâi mak me! En roi, rammuol pumpuiin ama kêng an jûi zoi hi!” an tia.
20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
Khohoia Pathien chubaimûk ranga Jerusalema hong se ngei lâia han Greekngei senkhat an oma.
21 The same came therefore to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
Anni ngei han Philip (Galilee rama Bethsaida khuo mi) kôm an sea, “Pu, Jisua mu kin nuom,” tiin an ngêna.
22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
Philip a sea male Andrew ava rila, male anruonin an sea, Jisua an va rila.
23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
Jisua'n an kôm, “Miriem Nâipasal inlaltaka a om zora atung zoi.
24 Verily, verily, I say to you, Except a grain of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Chongdiktak nangni ki ril: buhûm pila a tâka athi nônchu aramalin aom chien ngâi, athin vai kêng tamtakin ânra ngâi.
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
Tukhom an ringna moroi kaiin machân an ta, tukhom rammuola an ringna min pâm loi kaiin kumtuong ringna dôn tit an tih. (aiōnios g166)
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
Tukhom ki sintho nuom kaiin chu mi jûi ngêt rese ngei, masikin ki sinthopu ngei chu ko omna an om sa theina rangin. Tukhom ki sintho ngâi kai chu ka Pa'n mirit tho ngei atih.
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause I came to this hour.
“Atûn hin ku mulung akâng male imo ki ti rang ani zoi? ‘Pa, hi zora hih ku chunga mi mintung pe no roh ki ti rang mini’? Aniatachu, hi dûktuong rang piela juong ki ni, masika han hi dûktuongna zora hih palin ke se rang ani.
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
Pa, ni riming roiinpuina juong mintung roh!” a tia. Hanchu invân renga rôl ajuon ringa, “Ko roiinpuina ku juong mintung zoi, la juong mintung nôk ki tih,” a tia.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spoke to him.
Lokongei a kôla ânding ngei han ma rôl hah an rieta, male an lâia senkhatin, khuonri kêng ani an tia, adangngeiin chu, “Vântîrtonin a chongpui kêng!” an tia.
30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
Aniatachu Jisua'n an kôm, “Ma rôl ha keima ranga ajuon ring nimaka, nangni ngei rang kêng ani.
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
Atûn hin hi rammuol roijêkin aom rang zora ani zoi; hi rammuol roijêkpu khom hi atûn, pai nîng atih.
32 And I, if I shall be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to me.
Pilchung renga makhâiin ko om tikin chu mi murdi ki tieng kaikuoi ki tih,” a tia.
33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
(Hi chong hih thina a tuong rangtie riet theina ranga a ti ani.)
34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man? (aiōn g165)
Mipuingeiin a kôm, “Kin Balam lekhabu'n Messiah chu tuonsôtin ring tit atih” tiin mi ril ngâi. Hanchu, kho angin mo nangman, “Miriem Nâipasal hi târin om atih, ni ti thei? Hi Miriem Nâipasal hih tumo ani?” tiin an thuona. (aiōn g165)
35 Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not where he goeth.
Jisua'n a thuona, “Vâr hi chomolte chu nin lâia la om nîng atih. Vâr nin dôn lâiin lêng roi, masika han ijîngin nangni adê loina rangin; tukhom ijînga a lônin chu a sena riet ngâi mak.
36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spoke Jesus, and departed, and was hidden from them.
Vâr nin dôn lâihin vâr hi iem ta roi, avâr mingei nin ni theina rangin,” a tia. Jisua'n hi chong hih a ti suole chu a thengpata, an mu thei loina ranga a vânthup zoi.
37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
An mitmua sininkhêlngei tamtak a sin suonûk khomin anni ngei han ama iem mak ngeia,
38 That the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
masikin dêipu Isaiah lei ti hah ahong tung adik theina rangin: “Pumapa, kin thurchi misîr tumo a iema? Tu chunga mo Pumapa'n arnak a minlang?”
39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Isaiah said again,
Male masika hi an iem thei loi ani, Isaiah nanâkin a tia:
40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
“Pathien'n an mit a mincho pe ngeia male an mulungbôkngei khom a min môl pe ngei sa, masikin an mitin an mu loina rang, le an mulungbôkngei khomin an rietthei loina rangin, male ko kôm an hônhei nôk duoia, ke lei mindam ngei theina rangin, Pathien'n a tia.”
41 These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
Isaiah han Jisua roiinpuina a mu le a thurchi a misîr sikin hi chong hih a ti ani.
42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
Nikhomsenla Juda rachamneipu tamtak ngeiin Jisua an iem zoia; hannirese Phariseengei sikin misîr minlang ngam mak ngeia, ma anghan ani nônchu synagog renga khâipaiin an om rang ani.
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Pathien pomna nêkin munisi pomna an min lut uol ani.
44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
Jisua'n rôl inringtakin a tia, “Tukhom mi iempu chu keima mi iem vai niloiin mi tîrpu khom a iem sa ani.
45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
Tukhom keima mi mu chu mi tîrpu khom a mu sa ani.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Rammuola hin vâr angin ku juong ani, masikin tukhom mi iem ngei murdi chu ijînga an om loina rangin.
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Tukhom ku thurchi misîr a rieta a jôm loi khom nisenla, keiman an roijêk no ning. Rammuol roijêk ranga juong ni mu unga, rammuol sanminring ranga juong kêng ki ni.
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Tukhom keima me henga, ku thurchi misîr pomloi ngei chu anni ngei roijêk rangin mi inkhat aom. Ku thurchi misîr ha sûn nûktaka chu anni ngei roijêkpu la ning atih!
49 For I have not spoken from myself; but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
Mahi adik ani, asikchu Keima ka rachamin ite misîr ngâi mu unga, ka Pa mi tîrpu'n kêng ki ti rang le ki misîr rang chong mi pêk ngâi ani.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatever I speak therefore, even as the Father said to me, so I speak. (aiōnios g166)
Male a chongpêk ngei chu kumtuong ringna ani ti ki riet. Masikin ki ti ngei hi Pa'n mi ril lam angtakin ki misîr ani,” a tia. (aiōnios g166)
