< John 10 >

1 Verily, verily, I say to you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2 But he that entereth by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
Nambu mundu yula mweiyingila kupitila mlyangu, mwenuyo ndi mdimaji wa mambelele.
3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
Akamala kugawusa kuvala, mwene akugalongolela kulongolo, na mambelele gakumlanda, ndava gakulumanya lwami lwaki.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
Nambu gakumlanda lepi myehe, ndi gakumtila ndava nakulumanya lwami lwaki.”
6 This parable spoke Jesus to them: but they understood not what things they were which he spoke to them.
Yesu avajovili kwa luhumu ulu, nambu vene vamanyili lepi cheaganili kuvajovela.
7 Then said Jesus to them again, Verily, verily, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Voha vevanilongolili nene, ndi vahiji na vanyagaji, na mambelele nakuvayuwanila.
9 I am the door: by me if any man shall enter, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Nene ndi mlyangu. Mweiyingila munjila yangu yati isanguliwa, yati iyingila na kuhuma na kupewa chakulya.
10 The thief cometh not, but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Mhiji ibwela muni ayivayi, na kukoma na kuhalabisa. Nene nibwelili muni mupatayi wumi wa chakaka weumemili.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Nene ndi mdimaji mbwina. Mdimaji mbwina ajitendekili hati kufwa ndava ya mambelele gaki.
12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
Mundu mwenuyo itila na iyangalila lepi mambelele, ndava mwene ndi mundu wa luhuna ndu.
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known by mine.
Nene ndi mdimaji mbwina nigamanyili mambelele gangu, na mambelele gegavi gangu ganimanyili.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so I know the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Ngati Dadi cheanimanyili nene, na nene chenimmanyili Dadi. Niwusa wumi wangu hati kufwa ndava ya mambelele.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Kangi nivii na mambelele gangi ga chivaya ichi lepi. Yikunigana mewa kugaleta, na gene yati giyuwana lwami lwangu, yati kwivya na msambi umonga na mdimaji mmonga.
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.
“Dadi akunigana ndava nikuuwusa wumi wangu muni niupokelayi kavili.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received from my Father.
Chenichi ndi Dadi cheanilagizi kukita.”
19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
Ndava ya malovi genago ukahumila mpechenganu kavili pagati ya Vayawudi.
20 And many of them said, He hath a demon, and is mad; why hear ye him?
Vangi vamahele vakajova, “Mwenuyu ana mzuka! Mewa ana lupengu Ndava kyani kumyuwanila?”
21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?
Nambu vangi vakajova, “Malovi aga lepi ga mundu ana mzuka. Wu, mzuka uhotola kudindula mihu ga vangalola?”
22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
Lukumbi lwenulo lwavi lwa mbepu.
23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch.
24 Then came the Jews around him, and said to him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly.
Vayawudi vamtindili, kumkota, “Ukutileka na maholo mbaka ndali? Ngati veve ndi Kilisitu Msangula, hinu utijovela hotohoto.”
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness concerning me.
Yesu akavayangula, “Nivajovili, nambu nyenye nakunisadika. Mahengu genihenga nene kwa liina la Dadi wangu gilangisa nene ndi yani.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said to you.
Nambu nyenye mwisadika lepi, ndava nyenye lepi mambelele gangu.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Mambelele gangu giyuwana lwami lwangu. Nene nigamanyili na gene gakunilanda.
28 And I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
Nene nikugapela wumi wa magono goha wangali mwishu, katu vifwa lepi, na kawaka mundu mweihotola kuvanyaga kuhuma kwangu. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
29 My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
Dadi wangu ndi mkulu kuliku vyoha, na kawaka mundu wa kuhotola kuvanyaga mu mawoko ga Dadi wangu.
30 I and my Father are one.
Nene na Dadi, tavamonga.”
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Hinu, Vayawudi vakanonga maganga muni vamkomayi Yesu.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shown you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
Yesu akavajovela, “Nivalangisi mahengu gamahele kuhuma kwa Dadi. Wu, lihengu loki lelikuvakita nyenye munikoma kwa maganga?”
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Yesu akavajovela, “Yiyandikwi mu malagizu ginu, ‘Nene nijovili, nyenye ndi vachapanga?’
35 If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
Chapanga avakemili vandu vala vevapewili ujumbi waki ndi vachapanga, na tete timanyili kuvya Mayandiku Gamsopi gijova chakaka magono goha.
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Dadi anihagwili na kunituma pamulima. Ndava kyani nyenye mukunijovela, nikumliga Chapanga. Penijova nene Mwana wa Chapanga?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
Ngati nikugahenga lepi mahengu ga Dadi wangu, mkoto kunisadika.
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
Ngati nikugahenga, hati ngati mukunisadika lepi, hinu mugasadika mahengu genago. Muhotola kumanya chakaka kuvya Dadi avi mugati yangu, na nene nivii mugati yaki.”
39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped from their hand,
Vakalinga kavili kumkamula Yesu nambu akavalema mu mawoko gavi.
40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
Yesu akahamba kangi kumwambu ya mfuleni Yoludani, pandu peavi Yohani ibatiza, akatama kwenuko.
41 And many resorted to him, and said, John performed no miracle: but all things that John spoke of this man were true.
Vandu vamahele vambwelili Yesu na kujova Yohani ahengili lepi gachinamtiti gogoha, “Nambu goha geajovili kumvala mundu uyu ndi chakaka neju.”
42 And many believed on him there.
Vandu vamahele pandu penapo vakamsadika Yesu.
