Job 9
1 Then Job answered and said,
൧അതിന് ഇയ്യോബ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്:
2 I know it to be so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
൨“അത് അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ എന്ന് എനിക്കും അറിയാം നിശ്ചയം; ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ മർത്യൻ നീതിമാനാകുന്നതെങ്ങനെ?
3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one time out of a thousand.
൩ഒരുവന് യഹോവയോട് വാദിക്കുവാൻ ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നിയാൽ ആയിരത്തിൽ ഒന്നിനു പോലും ഉത്തരം പറയുവാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.
4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?
൪അവിടുന്ന് ജ്ഞാനിയും മഹാശക്തനുമാകുന്നു; അവിടുത്തോട് ശഠിച്ചിട്ട് വിജയിച്ചവൻ ആര്?
5 Who removeth the mountains, and they know not: who overturneth them in his anger.
൫അവിടുന്ന് പർവ്വതങ്ങളെ അവ അറിയാതെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ കോപത്തിൽ അവയെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.
6 Who shaketh the earth out of its place, and its pillars tremble.
൬അവിടുന്ന് ഭൂമിയെ സ്വസ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് ഇളക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ തൂണുകൾ കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.
7 Who commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
൭അവിടുന്ന് സൂര്യനോട് കല്പിക്കുന്നു; അത് ഉദിക്കാതെയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടുന്ന് നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെ പൊതിഞ്ഞ് മുദ്രയിടുന്നു.
8 Who alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
൮അവിടുന്ന് തനിച്ച് ആകാശത്തെ വിരിക്കുന്നു; സമുദ്രത്തിലെ തിരമാലകളിന്മേൽ അവിടുന്ന് നടക്കുന്നു.
9 Who maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
൯അവിടുന്ന് സപ്തർഷി, മകയിരം, കാർത്തിക, ഇവയെയും തെക്കെ നക്ഷത്രമണ്ഡലത്തെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു.
10 Who doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.
൧൦യഹോവ അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാത്ത വൻകാര്യങ്ങളും എണ്ണമില്ലാത്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
11 Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not.
൧൧അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ അരികിൽ കൂടി കടക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവിടുത്തെ കാണുന്നില്ല; അവിടുന്ന് കടന്നുപോകുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവിടുത്തെ അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല.
12 Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say to him, What doest thou?
൧൨അവിടുന്ന് പറിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നു; ആര് അവിടുത്തെ തടുക്കും? ‘നീ എന്ത് ചെയ്യുന്നു’ എന്ന് ആര് ചോദിക്കും?
13 If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.
൧൩ദൈവം തന്റെ കോപം പിൻവലിക്കുന്നില്ല; രഹബിന്റെ സഹായികൾ അവിടുത്തെ വണങ്ങുന്നു.
14 How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him?
൧൪പിന്നെ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയോട് ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നതും അങ്ങയോട് വാദിപ്പാൻ വാക്ക് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നതും എങ്ങനെ?
15 Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.
൧൫ഞാൻ നീതിമാനായിരുന്നാലും അങ്ങയോട് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞുകൂടാ; എന്റെ പ്രതിയോഗിയോട് ഞാൻ യാചിക്കേണ്ടിവരും.
16 If I had called, and he had answered me; yet I would not believe that he had hearkened to my voice.
൧൬ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചിട്ട് അവിടുന്ന് ഉത്തരം അരുളിയാലും എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേൾക്കും എന്ന് ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയില്ല.
17 For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.
൧൭കൊടുങ്കാറ്റുകൊണ്ട് അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ തകർക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്റെ മുറിവുകൾ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
18 He will not allow me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness.
൧൮ശ്വസിക്കുവാൻ എന്നെ സമ്മതിക്കുന്നില്ല; കൈപ്പുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ വയറ് നിറയ്ക്കുന്നു.
19 If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?
൧൯ബലം വിചാരിച്ചാൽ: ദൈവം തന്നെ ബലവാൻ; ന്യായവിധി വിചാരിച്ചാൽ: ആര് എനിയ്ക്ക് അവധി നിശ്ചയിക്കും?
20 If I justify myself, my own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, that also shall prove me perverse.
൨൦ഞാൻ നീതിമാനായാലും എന്റെ സ്വന്തവായ് എന്നെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിഷ്കളങ്കനായാലും അവിടുന്ന് എനിയ്ക്ക് കുറ്റം ആരോപിക്കും.
21 Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.
൨൧ഞാൻ നിഷ്കളങ്കൻ; ഞാൻ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ കരുതുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ ജീവനെ ഞാൻ നിരസിക്കുന്നു.
22 This is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked.
൨൨അതെല്ലാം ഒരുപോലെ; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ പറയുന്നത്: അവിടുന്ന് നിഷ്കളങ്കനെയും ദുഷ്ടനെയും നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
23 If the scourge shall slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.
൨൩ബാധ പെട്ടെന്ന് കൊല്ലുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ നിർദ്ദോഷികളുടെ നിരാശ കണ്ട് അവിടുന്ന് ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of its judges; if not, where, and who is he?
൨൪ഭൂമി ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരുടെ മുഖം അവിടുന്ന് മൂടിക്കളയുന്നു; അത് അവിടുന്നല്ലെങ്കിൽ പിന്നെ ആര്?
25 Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.
൨൫എന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ഓട്ടക്കാരനെക്കാൾ വേഗം പോകുന്നു; അത് നന്മ കാണാതെ ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നു.
26 They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey.
൨൬അത് ഓടത്തണ്ടുകൊണ്ടുള്ള വള്ളംപോലെയും ഇരയെ റാഞ്ചുന്ന കഴുകനെപ്പോലെയും കടന്നുപോകുന്നു.
27 If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will put off my heaviness, and comfort myself:
൨൭ഞാൻ എന്റെ സങ്കടം മറന്ന്, മുഖവിഷാദം കളഞ്ഞ്, പ്രസന്നതയോടെ ഇരിക്കുമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ,
28 I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.
൨൮ഞാൻ എന്റെ വ്യസനം എല്ലാം ഓർത്ത് ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു; അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ നിർദ്ദോഷിയായി എണ്ണുകയില്ലെന്ന് ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.
29 If I am wicked, why then do I labour in vain?
൨൯എന്നെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുകയേയുള്ളു; പിന്നെ ഞാൻ വൃഥാ പ്രയത്നിക്കുന്നതെന്തിന്?
30 If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
൩൦ഞാൻ ഹിമംകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ കഴുകിയാലും സോപ്പുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ കൈ വെടിപ്പാക്കിയാലും
31 Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and my own clothes shall abhor me.
൩൧അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ ചേറ്റുകുഴിയിൽ മുക്കിക്കളയും; എന്റെ വസ്ത്രംപോലും എന്നെ വെറുക്കും.
32 For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.
൩൨ഞാൻ അങ്ങയോട് പ്രതിവാദിക്കേണ്ടതിനും ഞങ്ങളൊരുമിച്ച് ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിന് ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിനും അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെപ്പോലെ മനുഷ്യനല്ലല്ലോ.
33 Neither is there any mediator between us, that might lay his hand upon us both.
൩൩ഞങ്ങളെ ഇരുവരെയും പറഞ്ഞു നിർത്തേണ്ടതിന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ നടുവിൽ ഒരു മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥനുമില്ല.
34 Let him take away his rod from me, and let not his fear terrify me:
൩൪ദൈവം തന്റെ വടി എന്നിൽനിന്ന് നീക്കട്ടെ; അവിടുത്തെ ഘോരത്വം എന്നെ പേടിപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ;
35 Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.
൩൫അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ പേടിക്കാതെ സംസാരിക്കും; ഇപ്പോൾ എന്റെ സ്ഥിതി അങ്ങനെയല്ലല്ലോ”.
