Job 18

1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

൧അതിന് ശൂഹ്യനായ ബിൽദാദ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്:

2 How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.

൨“നിങ്ങൾ എത്രത്തോളം വാക്കുകൾക്ക് കുടുക്കുവയ്ക്കും? ബുദ്ധിപ്രയോഗിക്കുക; പിന്നെ നമുക്ക് സംസാരിക്കാം.

3 Why are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?

൩ഞങ്ങളെ മൃഗങ്ങളായെണ്ണുന്നതും ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അശുദ്ധരായി തോന്നുന്നതും എന്ത്?

4 He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of its place?

൪കോപത്തിൽ സ്വയം കടിച്ചുകീറുന്നവനേ, നിന്റെനിമിത്തം ഭൂമി നിർജ്ജനമായിത്തീരണമോ? പാറ അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലം വിട്ടുമാറണമോ?

5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

൫ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വെളിച്ചം കെട്ടുപോകും; അവന്റെ അഗ്നിജ്വാല പ്രകാശിക്കുകയില്ല.

6 The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp shall be put out with him.

൬അവന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ വെളിച്ചം ഇരുണ്ടുപോകും; അവന്റെ ദീപം കെട്ടുപോകും.

7 The steps of his strength shall be shortened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

൭അവൻ ഉറച്ച കാലടി വയ്ക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം ഇടുങ്ങിപ്പോകും; അവന്റെ സ്വന്ത ആലോചന അവനെ തള്ളിയിടും.

8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

൮അവന്റെ കാൽ വലയിൽ കുടുങ്ങിപ്പോകും; അവൻ ചതിക്കുഴിക്കുമീതെ നടക്കും.

9 The trap shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.

൯കെണി അവന്റെ കുതികാലിന് പിടിക്കും; അവൻ കുടുക്കിൽ അകപ്പെടും.

10 The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

൧൦അവന് നിലത്ത് കുരുക്ക് മറച്ചുവയ്ക്കും; അവനെ പിടിക്കുവാൻ പാതയിൽ കെണി ഒളിച്ചുവയ്ക്കും.

11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

൧൧ചുറ്റിലും ഘോരത്വങ്ങൾ അവനെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കും; അവന്റെ കാലുകളെ പിന്തുടർന്ന് അവനെ വേട്ടയാടും.

12 His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.

൧൨അവന്റെ അനൎത്ഥം വിശന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; വിപത്ത് അവന്റെ അരികിൽ ഒരുങ്ങി നില്ക്കുന്നു.

13 It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.

൧൩അത് അവന്റെ ദേഹാംഗങ്ങളെ തിന്നുകളയും; മരണത്തിന്റെ കടിഞ്ഞൂൽ അവന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളെ തിന്നുകളയും.

14 His confidence shall be rooted out of his tent, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

൧൪അവൻ ആശ്രയിച്ച കൂടാരത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേർ പറിഞ്ഞുപോകും; ഭീകരതയുടെ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോകും.

15 It shall dwell in his tent, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

൧൫അവന് ആരുമല്ലാത്തവർ അവന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ വസിക്കും; അവന്റെ നിവാസത്തിന്മേൽ ഗന്ധകം പെയ്യും.

16 His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

൧൬അടിയിൽ അവന്റെ വേര് ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോകും; മീതെ അവന്റെ കൊമ്പ് വാടിപ്പോകും.

17 The remembrance of him shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.

൧൭അവന്റെ ഓർമ്മ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്ന് നശിച്ചുപോകും; തെരുവീഥിയിൽ അവന്റെ പേര് ഇല്ലാതാകും.

18 He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

൧൮അവനെ വെളിച്ചത്തുനിന്ന് ഇരുട്ടിലേക്ക് തള്ളിയിടും; ഭൂതലത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവനെ ഓടിച്ചുകളയും.

19 He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

൧൯സ്വജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ അവന് പുത്രനോ പൌത്രനോ ഇല്ലാതെയിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ പാർപ്പിടം അന്യം നിന്നുപോകും.

20 They that come after him shall be appalled at his day, as they that went before were seized with horror.

൨൦അവന്റെ നാശത്തിനു മുമ്പ് വസിച്ചിരുന്നവര്‍ അവന്റെ ദിവസം കണ്ട് വിസ്മയിക്കും; അവന്റെ നാശത്തിനു ശേഷം വസിച്ചിരുന്നവര്‍ അമ്പരന്ന് പോകും.

21 Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.

൨൧നീതികെട്ടവന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലം ഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു. ദൈവത്തെ അറിയാത്തവന്റെ സ്ഥലം ഇങ്ങനെതന്നെ”.
