Jeremiah 50
1 The word that the LORD spoke against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet.
Palabra que habló Jehová contra Babilonia, contra la tierra de los Caldeos, por mano de Jeremías profeta.
2 Declare ye among the nations, and proclaim, and set up a standard; proclaim, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.
Denunciád en las naciones, y hacéd saber: levantád también bandera: hacéd saber, y no encubráis: decíd: Tomada es Babilonia, avergonzado es Bel, deshecho es Merodac, avergonzadas son sus esculturas, quebrados son sus ídolos.
3 For out of the north there cometh a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell in it: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.
Porque subió contra ella nación de la parte del aquilón, la cual pondrá su tierra en asolamiento; y no habrá quien en ella more: ni hombre ni animal: se movieron, se fueron.
4 In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the LORD their God.
En aquellos días, y en aquel tiempo, dice Jehová, vendrán los hijos de Israel, ellos, y los hijos de Judá juntamente, irán andando y llorando, y buscarán a Jehová su Dios.
5 They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces toward it, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.
Por el camino de Sión preguntarán, allí enderezarán sus rostros: Veníd, y juntáos a Jehová con concierto eterno, que jamás se ponga en el olvido.
6 My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace.
Ovejas perdidas fueron mi pueblo, sus pastores las hicieron errar, por los montes las descarriaron: anduvieron de monte en collado, olvidáronse de sus majadas,
7 All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.
Todos los que los hallaban, los comían; y sus enemigos decían: No pecaremos; porque ellos pecaron a Jehová, morada de justicia, y esperanza de sus padres Jehová.
8 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth from the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the male goats before the flocks.
Huid de en medio de Babilonia, y salíd de tierra de Caldeos; y sed como los mansos delante del ganado:
9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from there she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.
Porque he aquí que yo despierto, y hago subir contra Babilonia congregación de grandes naciones de la tierra del aquilón; y desde allí se aparejarán contra ella, y será tomada: sus flechas, como de valiente diestro, no se tornará en vano.
10 And Chaldea shall be a prey: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the LORD.
Y la tierra de los Caldeos será por presa: todos los que la saquearen, saldrán hartos, dijo Jehová.
11 Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of my heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;
Porque os alegrasteis, porque os gozasteis destruyendo mi heredad; porque os henchisteis como becerra de renuevos, y relinchasteis como caballos:
12 Your mother shall be greatly confounded; she that bore you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
Vuestra madre se avergonzó mucho, afrentóse la que os engendró. Veis aquí las postrimerías de las naciones, desierto, sequedad, y páramo.
13 Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
Por la ira de Jehová no se habitará, mas será asolada toda ella: todo hombre que pasare por Babilonia se asombrará, y silbará sobre todas sus plagas.
14 Put yourselves in array against Babylon on every side: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the LORD.
Apercibíos contra Babilonia al derredor: todos los que entesáis arcos tirád contra ella: no os duelan las saetas, porque pecó contra Jehová.
15 Shout against her on every side: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the LORD: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do to her.
Gritád contra ella en derredor: Dio su mano, caído han sus fundamentos, derribados son sus muros; porque venganza es de Jehová. Tomád venganza de ella: hacéd con ella como ella hizo.
16 Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.
Talád de Babilonia sembrador, y el que tiene hoz en tiempo de la siega: delante de la espada forzadora cada uno volverá el rostro hacia su pueblo, cada uno huirá hacia su tierra.
17 Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.
Ganado descarriado ha sido Israel, leones le amontaron: el rey de Asiria lo tragó el primero, este Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, lo desosó el postrero.
18 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.
Por tanto así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: He aquí que yo visito al rey de Babilonia, y a su tierra, como visité al rey de Asiria.
19 And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.
Y tornaré a traer a Israel a su morada, y pacerá al Carmelo, y a Basán; y en el monte de Efraím, y de Galaad se hartará su alma.
20 In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.
En aquellos días, y en aquel tiempo, dijo Jehová, la maldad de Israel será buscada, y no parecerá; y los pecados de Judá, y no se hallarán; porque perdonaré a los que yo hubiere dejado.
21 Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, saith the LORD, and do according to all that I have commanded thee.
Sube contra la tierra de contumaces, contra ella, y contra los moradores de la visitación. Destruye, y mata en pos de ellos, dijo Jehová; y haz conforme a todo lo que yo te he mandado.
22 A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.
Estruendo de guerra en la tierra, y quebrantamiento grande.
23 How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!
¿Cómo fue cortado y quebrado el martillo de toda la tierra? ¿Cómo se tornó Babilonia en desierto entre las naciones?
24 I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD.
Púsete lazos, y aun fuiste tomada, o! Babilonia, y tú no lo supiste: fuiste hallada, y aun presa, porque provocaste a Jehová.
25 The LORD hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.
Abrió Jehová su tesoro, y sacó los vasos de su furor; porque esta es obra de Jehová Dios de los ejércitos en la tierra de Caldeos.
26 Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left.
Veníd contra ella desde el cabo de la tierra: abríd sus alfolíes: holládla como a parva, y destruídla: no le queden residuos.
27 Slay all her bulls; let them go down to the slaughter: woe to them! for their day is come, the time of their punishment.
Matád a todos sus novillos, vayan al matadero: ¡ay de ellos! que venido es su día, el tiempo de su visitación.
28 The voice of them that flee and escape from the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.
Voz de los que huyen y escapan de la tierra de Babilonia se oye, para que den las nuevas en Sión de la venganza de Jehová nuestro Dios, de la venganza de su templo.
29 Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, encamp against it on every side; let none of them escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do to her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.
Hacéd juntar sobre Babilonia flecheros, a todos los que entesan arco: asentád campo sobre ella al derredor, no escape de ella ninguno: pagádle según su obra; conforme a todo lo que ella hizo hacéd con ella; porque contra Jehová se ensoberbeció, contra el Santo de Israel.
30 Therefore her young men shall fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD.
Por tanto sus mancebos caerán en sus plazas, y todos sus hombres de guerra serán talados en aquel día, dijo Jehová.
31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord GOD of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will punish thee.
He aquí yo contra ti, o! soberbio, dijo el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos, porque tu día es venido, el tiempo en que te visitaré.
32 And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all around him.
Y el soberbio tropezará, y caerá, y no tendrá quien le levante; y encenderé fuego en sus ciudades, y quemará todos sus al derredores.
33 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.
Así dijo Jehová de los ejércitos: Oprimidos fueron los hijos de Israel, y los hijos de Judá juntamente; y todos los que los tomaron cautivos, se los retuvieron: no los quisieron soltar.
34 Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
El Redentor de ellos es el fuerte, Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre: pleiteando pleiteará su pleito para hacer quietar la tierra, y turbar los moradores de Babilonia.
35 A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.
Espada sobre los Caldeos, dijo Jehová, y sobre los moradores de Babilonia, y sobre sus príncipes, y sobre sus sabios.
36 A sword is upon the liars; and they shall become fools: a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.
Espada sobre los adivinos, y enloquecerán: espada sobre sus valientes, y serán quebrantados.
37 A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mixed people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasuries; and they shall be robbed.
Espada sobre sus caballos, y sobre sus carros, y sobre todo el vulgo que está en medio de ella; y serán como mujeres: espada sobre sus tesoros, y serán saqueados.
38 A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad over their idols.
Sequedad sobre sus aguas, y secarse han; porque tierra es de esculturas, y en ídolos enloquecen.
39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the isles shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell in it: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.
Por tanto morarán bestias monteses con gatos: morarán también en ella pollos de avestruz, ni más será poblada para siempre, ni se habitará de generación en generación.
40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and its neighbour cities, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell in it.
Como en el trastornamiento de Dios a Sodoma, y a Gomorra, y a sus ciudades vecinas, dijo Jehová, no morará allí hombre, ni hijo de hombre la habitará.
41 Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the ends of the earth.
He aquí que un pueblo viene de la parte del aquilón, y una gran nación, y muchos reyes se levantarán de los lados de la tierra:
42 They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not show mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
Arco y lanza tomarán, serán crueles, y no tendrán piedad: su tropel sonará como la mar, y cabalgarán sobre caballos: apercebirse han como hombre a la pelea contra ti, o! hija de Babilonia.
43 The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands became feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.
Oyó su fama el rey de Babilonia, y sus manos se descoyuntaron, angustia le tomó, dolor como de mujer de parto.
44 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan to the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
He aquí que como león subirá de la hinchazón del Jordán a la morada fuerte; porque haré reposo, y hacerle he correr de sobre ella; y al que fuere escogido la encargaré; porque ¿quién es semejante a mí? ¿o quién me emplazará? ¿o quién será aquel pastor que me osará resistir?
45 Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them.
Por tanto oíd el consejo de Jehová, que ha acordado sobre Babilonia, y sus pensamientos que ha pensado sobre la tierra de los Caldeos. Ciertamente los más pequeños del hato los arrastrarán, y destruirán sus moradas con ellos.
46 At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.
Del grito de la toma de Babilonia la tierra tembló; y el clamor se oyó entre las naciones.
