Isaiah 53
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
ഞങ്ങൾ കേൾപ്പിച്ചതു ആർ വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു? യഹോവയുടെ ഭുജം ആർക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
അവൻ ഇളയ തൈപോലെയും വരണ്ട നിലത്തുനിന്നു വേർ മുളെക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വളരും; അവന്നു രൂപഗുണം ഇല്ല, കോമളത്വം ഇല്ല; കണ്ടാൽ ആഗ്രഹിക്കത്തക്ക സൗന്ദര്യവുമില്ല.
3 He is despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
അവൻ മനുഷ്യരാൽ നിന്ദിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ത്യജിക്കപ്പെട്ടും വ്യസനപാത്രമായും രോഗം ശീലിച്ചവനായും ഇരുന്നു; അവനെ കാണുന്നവർ മുഖം മറെച്ചുകളയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവൻ നിന്ദിതനായിരുന്നു; നാം അവനെ ആദരിച്ചതുമില്ല.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
സാക്ഷാൽ നമ്മുടെ രോഗങ്ങളെ അവൻ വഹിച്ചു; നമ്മുടെ വേദനകളെ അവൻ ചുമന്നു; നാമോ, ദൈവം അവനെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചും അടിച്ചും ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചു.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement for our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
എന്നാൽ അവൻ നമ്മുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം മുറിവേറ്റും നമ്മുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം തകർന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നമ്മുടെ സമാധാനത്തിന്നായുള്ള ശിക്ഷ അവന്റെമേൽ ആയി അവന്റെ അടിപ്പിണരുകളാൽ നമുക്കു സൗഖ്യം വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
നാം എല്ലാവരും ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ തെറ്റിപ്പോയിരുന്നു; നാം ഓരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ വഴിക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ എല്ലാവരുടെയും അകൃത്യം അവന്റെ മേൽ ചുമത്തി.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.
തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തി വായെ തുറക്കാതെയിരുന്നിട്ടും അവൻ പീഡിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; കൊല്ലുവാൻ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്ന കുഞ്ഞാടിനെപ്പോലെയും രോമം കത്രിക്കുന്നവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ മിണ്ടാതെയിരിക്കുന്ന ആടിനെപ്പോലെയും അവൻ വായെ തുറക്കാതിരുന്നു.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off from the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
അവൻ പീഡനത്താലും ശിക്ഷാവിധിയാലും എടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവൻ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നും എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അതിക്രമം നിമിത്തം അവന്നു ദണ്ഡനം വന്നു എന്നും അവന്റെ തലമുറയിൽ ആർ വിചാരിച്ചു?
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
അവൻ സാഹസം ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെയും അവന്റെ വായിൽ വഞ്ചനയൊന്നും ഇല്ലാതെയും ഇരുന്നിട്ടും അവർ അവന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ശവക്കുഴി കൊടുത്തു; അവന്റെ മരണത്തിൽ അവൻ സമ്പന്നന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
എന്നാൽ അവനെ തകർത്തുകളവാൻ യഹോവെക്കു ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നി; അവൻ അവന്നു കഷ്ടം വരുത്തി; അവന്റെ പ്രാണൻ ഒരു അകൃത്യയാഗമായിത്തീർന്നിട്ടു അവൻ സന്തതിയെ കാണുകയും ദീർഘായുസ്സു പ്രാപിക്കയും യഹോവയുടെ ഇഷ്ടം അവന്റെ കയ്യാൽ സാധിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
അവൻ തന്റെ പ്രയത്നഫലം കണ്ടു തൃപ്തനാകും; നീതിമാനായ എന്റെ ദാസൻ തന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം കൊണ്ടു പലരെയും നീതീകരിക്കും; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളെ അവൻ വഹിക്കും.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul to death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവന്നു മഹാന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഓഹരി കൊടുക്കും; ബലവാന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അവൻ കൊള്ള പങ്കിടും; അവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ മരണത്തിന്നു ഒഴുക്കിക്കളകയും അനേകരുടെ പാപം വഹിച്ചും അതിക്രമക്കാർക്കു വേണ്ടി ഇടനിന്നുംകൊണ്ടു അതിക്രമക്കാരോടുകൂടെ എണ്ണപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്കയാൽ തന്നേ.
