Hosea 9
1 Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast played the harlot from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every threshingfloor.
No te alegres, Israel, ni te goces como los gentiles, porque te prostituiste (apartándote) de tu Dios; codiciaste la paga de ramera en todas las eras de trigo.
2 The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
Por eso, era y lagar no les darán el sustento, y el mosto les fallará.
3 They shall not dwell in the LORD’S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
No quedarán en la tierra de Yahvé; Efraím volverá a Egipto, y en Asiria comerán cosas inmundas.
4 They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing to him: their sacrifices shall be to them as the bread of mourners; all that eat of it shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.
Entonces ya no harán a Yahvé libaciones de vino, ni le serán aceptos sus sacrificios; serán para ellos como pan de luto; cualquiera que lo comiere, quedará contaminado: su pan será (solamente) para ellos, no entrará en la Casa de Yahvé.
5 What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?
¿Qué haréis en las fiestas, en los días solemnes de Yahvé?
6 For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
Pues he aquí que habrán de salir de la (tierra) devastada; Egipto los recogerá, Menfis les dará sepultura. Sus preciosidades de plata las heredará la ortiga, y sus moradas el cardo.
7 The days of punishment are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thy iniquity, and the great hatred.
Han llegado los días de la visita, han venido los días de la retribución; entonces Israel verá si el profeta es un insensato, el varón inspirado un loco, a causa de tu inmensa iniquidad, y por la enormidad de tu odio.
8 The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.
El atalaya de Efraím, el profeta, que esta con mi Dios, (halla) en todos sus caminos un lazo de cazador y la persecución en la casa de su Dios.
9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will judge their sins.
Se han abismado en la perversidad como en los días de Gabaá; pero Él se acordará de su iniquidad y castigará sus pecados.
10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves to that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
Como uvas en el desierto hallé a Israel; como higos tempranos, primicias de la higuera, vi a vuestros padres. Acudieron a Baalfegor, consagrándose al (ídolo) infame, y se hicieron abominables como aquello que amaban.
11 As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
La gloria de Efraím se volará como un ave; ya no habrá hijos, ni embarazo, ni concepción.
12 Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!
Y si criaren sus hijos, los privaré de ellos para que no haya hombres; pues ¡ay de ellos cuando Yo los abandone!
13 Ephraim, as I saw Tyre, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.
Efraím, según vi, es otra Tiro, plantado en hermoso país, Efraím sacará sus propios hijos para el matador.
14 Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
¡Dales, Yahvé! ¿Qué les darás? ¡Dales senos estériles y pechos enjutos!
15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of my house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
Toda su maldad está en Gálgala; allí les tomé aversión por la maldad de sus obras; los expulsaré de mi casa, no los amaré más; apóstatas son todos sus jefes.
16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
Herido está Efraím, se ha secado su raíz, no dará más fruto; y si tuvieren hijos, Yo daré muerte a los amados (hijos) de su seno.
17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken to him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
Los desechará mi Dios, porque no lo escucharon, e irán errantes entre las naciones.
