< Hebrews 3 >
1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Hessa gisho, Xoossay xeegida geeshsha ishato, nu ammanon Godaa gidi xeegiya hawaariyanne kahine halaqaa Yesuusa be7ite.
2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
Musey Xoossaa Keetha ubban ammanettidayssada Yesuusikka bana doorida Xoossaas ammanettidayssa.
3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath built the house hath more honour than the house.
Keethe keexeyssi keethafe aadhdhi bonchchetteyssada Yesuusi Museppe aadhdhiya bonchcho ekkanaw bessees.
4 For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God.
Issi issi keethaa keexida asi de7ees, shin ubbaa giigisiday Xoossaa.
5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;
Musey Xoossaa Keetha ubban ammanettida aylle gididi, Xoossay sinthafe gaanabaas markka gidis.
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
Shin Kiristtoosi Xoossa Keethan na7ada ammanettidayssa. Nuuni ekkana gidi naagiya ufayssaa minthidi naagikko Xoossaa keethi gidoos.
7 Therefore ( as the Holy Spirit saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Hessa gisho, Geeshsha Ayyaanay geyssada, “Hachchi hintte Xoossay geyssa si7iya wode,
8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
bazzo biittan paaciya gallas, hintte aawati makkalidayssada, hintte wozanaa minthofite.
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Hintte aawati tana paaccidosona; oytamu laythi ta oosuwa be7idosona.
10 Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Hessa gisho, ta he yeletethaa hanqettada, ‘Entti ubba wode bantta wozanan baloosona; ta ogiya eribookkona’ yaagas.
11 So I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Hessa gisho, taani ta hanquwan caaqqada, ‘Ta shemppo bessaa ubbaka gelokkona’ yaagas” yaagees.
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Ta ishato, hinttefe oodenkka, de7o Xoossaafe hinttena shaakkiya iitanne ammanonna wozani doonna mela naagettite.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Hinttefe oonakka nagari balethin, ba wozanaa minthonna mela “Hachchi” yaagettidi xeegettishin gallas gallas issoy issuwara zorettite.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end;
Nu koyro ammanuwa nuuni wurssethi gakkanaw minthi naagikko, Kiristtoosara issife laattana.
15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Geeshsha Maxaafan, “Hachchi Xoossay geyssa hintte si7iya wode, he wode entti makkalatethan hanidayssada, hintte wozanaa minthofite” yaagis.
16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: yet not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
Xoossay giyabaa si7idi makkaliday oonee? Musey Gibxefe kaalethi kessida ubbaa gidokkonaayye?
17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
Xoossay oytamu laythi oona hanqettidee? Nagara oothidayssatanne entta ahay bazzo biittan wodhdhi attida asata gidokkonaayye?
18 And to whom did he swear that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
Qassi Xoossay, “Ta shemppo bessaa gelekketa” yaagidi caaqqiday, iyaw kiitettonna ixxida asaappe attin oodesse?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Hiza, entti he shemppo bessaa gelonna attiday ammaniboonna gisho, gideyssa nu be7oos.
