< Hebrews 2 >

1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
Hessa gisho, nuuni si7ida tumaappe harasoo ekettonna mela he si7idayssa minthidi naaganaw bessees.
2 For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
Hiza, kiitanchchota baggara odettida qaalay tuma gidikko, iya naaqoynne kiitettonna ixxoy pirdda ehiyabaa gidikko,
3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by them that heard him;
Yaatin, nuuni hayssa mela gita atotethaa ixxas giikko, waanidi attanee? Koyro Goday ba huu7en he atotethaa odis; qassi iyappe si7idayssati nuus geeshshidi markkattidosona.
4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?
Qassi Xoossay malaatatan, oorathabatan, dumma dumma mallataninne ba sheniyada immida Geeshsha Ayyaana imotatan markkatethaa minthis.
5 For to the angels he hath not put in subjection the world to come, concerning which we speak.
Xoossay ha nuuni odiya sinthafe yaana alamiya, kiitanchchotas haarisibeenna.
6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Geeshsha Maxaafay issi bessan hayssada yaagees: “Neeni asas qoppanaw asi aybe? Woykko neeni iya naaganaw I aybe?
7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou didst crown him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
Ne iya kiitanchchotappe guutha wodes guuthadasa; Iya huu7en bonchchonne saba kallachcha wothadasa.
8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not made subject to him. But now we see not yet all things made subject to him.
Qassi ubbabaa iya tohuwappe garssan wothadasa” yaagees. Xoossay ubbabaa iyaw haarisiya wode iyaw haarettiboonnabay aybikka baawa. Shin ha77i ubbabay iyaw haarettishin nuuni be7ibookko.
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Shin nuuni kiitanchchotappe guuthara guuxida Yesuusa be7oos. Xoossaa aadho keehatethaa gaason Yesuusi asa ubbaas hayqqis. I waaye hayqo hayqqida gisho, bonchchonne saba kallachcha iya huu7en wothis.
10 For it was befitting for him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Ubbabay iyawunne iya gaason medhettida Xoossay, daro nayta baara bonchchisanaw entta atotethaa huu7iya, Yesuusa waayen polo oothanaw iyaw bessees.
11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Yesuusinne he I geeshshida asa ubbay issi aawa nayta. Yesuusi entta, “Ta ishata” gidi xeeganaw yeellatonnay hessassa.
12 Saying, I will declare thy name to my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise to thee.
Yesuusi, “Taani ne sunthaa ta ishatas awaajjana; deriya shiiquwan nena galatana” yaagees.
13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Qassi I, “Taani ta ammanuwa iya bolla wothana” Qassika, “Xoossay taw immida naytara ta hayssan de7ays” yaagees.
14 Since then the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Nayti ashoynne suuthi de7eyssata gidiya gisho, Yesuusikka enttada ase gidis. I hessa oothiday, hayqo bolla wolqqi de7iya Xalahiya ba hayquwan dhayssanaassa.
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Qassi bantta de7o laytha ubban hayqo yashshan ayllettidi de7eyssata aylletethaafe wozanaassa.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Tuma Yesuusi yiday Abrahaame zerethi maaddanaassafe attin kiitanchchota maaddanaassa gidenna.
17 Therefore in all things it behoved him to be made like his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Asaa nagaray atto geetettana mela Xoossaa sinthan maariyanne ammanettida kahine halaqa gidis. Hessa gisho, I ubbaban ba ishata daananaw bessees.
18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to help them that are tempted.
I ba huu7en paacen waayettida gisho paacetteyssata maaddanaw dandda7ees.
