Ezra 7
1 Now after these things, in the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia, Ezra the son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,
௧இந்தக் காரியங்களுக்குப்பின்பு, செராயாவின் மகனாகிய எஸ்றா, பெர்சியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அர்தசஷ்டா அரசாளுகிற காலத்திலே பாபிலோனிலிருந்து வந்தான்; இந்தச் செராயா அசரியாவின் மகன், இவன் இல்க்கியாவின் மகன்,
2 The son of Shallum, the son of Zadok, the son of Ahitub,
௨இவன் சல்லூமின் மகன், இவன் சாதோக்கின் மகன், இவன் அகிதூபின் மகன்,
3 The son of Amariah, the son of Azariah, the son of Meraioth,
௩இவன் அமரியாவின் மகன், இவன் அசரியாவின் மகன், இவன் மெராயோதின் மகன்,
4 The son of Zerahiah, the son of Uzzi, the son of Bukki,
௪இவன் செராகியாவின் மகன், இவன் ஊசியின் மகன், இவன் புக்கியின் மகன்,
5 The son of Abishua, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the chief priest:
௫இவன் அபிசுவாவின் மகன், இவன் பினெகாசின் மகன், இவன் எலெயாசாரின் மகன், இவன் பிரதான ஆசாரியனான ஆரோனின் மகன்.
6 This Ezra went from Babylon; and he was a scribe skilled in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.
௬இந்த எஸ்றா இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா அருளிய மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திலே தேறின வேதபாரகனாக இருந்தான்; அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய கரம் அவன்மேல் இருந்ததால், அவன் கேட்டவைகளையெல்லாம் ராஜா அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்.
7 And there went some of the children of Israel, and of the priests, and the Levites, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, to Jerusalem, in the seventh year of Artaxerxes the king.
௭அவனுடன் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களிலும், ஆசாரியர்களிலும், லேவியர்களிலும், பாடகர்களிலும், வாசல் காவலாளர்களிலும், நிதனீமியரிலும், சிலர் அர்தசஷ்டா ராஜாவின் ஏழாம் வருடத்திலே எருசலேமுக்குப் போனார்கள்.
8 And he came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.
௮ஐந்தாம் மாதத்தில் அவன் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தான்; அது அந்த ராஜாவின் ஏழாவது வருடத்தின் ஆட்சியாக இருந்தது.
9 For upon the first day of the first month he began to go from Babylon, and on the first day of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God upon him.
௯முதலாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியிலே அவன் பாபிலோனிலிருந்து பயணமாகப் புறப்பட்டு, ஐந்தாம் மாதம் முதல்தேதியிலே தன் தேவனுடைய தயவுள்ள கரம் தன்மேலிருந்ததால் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தான்.
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
௧0யெகோவாவுடைய வேதத்தை ஆராயவும், அதன்படி செய்யவும், இஸ்ரவேலிலே கட்டளைகளையும் நீதிநியாயங்களையும் உபதேசிக்கவும், எஸ்றா தன் இருதயத்தைப் பக்குவப்படுத்தியிருந்தான்.
11 Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave to Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the LORD, and of his statutes to Israel.
௧௧யெகோவாவுடைய கற்பனைகளின் வார்த்தைகளிலும், அவர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் கொடுத்த கட்டளைகளிலும், படித்துத் தேறின வேதபாரகனாகிய எஸ்றா என்னும் ஆசாரியனுக்கு, ராஜாவாகிய அர்தசஷ்டா கொடுத்த கடிதத்தின் நகலாவது:
12 Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and now.
௧௨ராஜாதிராஜாவாகிய அர்தசஷ்டா பரலோகத்தின் தேவனுடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைப் போதிக்கிற உத்தம வேதபாரகனாகிய எஸ்றா என்னும் ஆசாரியனுக்குப் பூரண சமாதானமுண்டாக வாழ்த்தி எழுதுகிறது என்னவென்றால்:
13 I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, who are disposed of their own freewill to go to Jerusalem, go with thee.
௧௩நம்முடைய ராஜ்ஜியத்தில் இருக்கிற இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களிலும், அதின் ஆசாரியர்களிலும், லேவியர்களிலும், உன்னுடன் எருசலேமுக்குப் போக விருப்பமாயிருக்கிற அனைவரும் போகலாம் என்று நம்மாலே உத்திரவிடப்படுகிறது.
14 Forasmuch as thou art sent by the king, and by his seven counsellors, to enquire concerning Judah and Jerusalem, according to the law of thy God which is in thy hand;
௧௪நீ உன் கையிலிருக்கிற உன் தேவனுடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி, யூதாவையும் எருசலேமையும் விசாரித்து நடத்தவும்,
15 And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,
௧௫ராஜாவும் அவருடைய மந்திரிகளும் எருசலேமில் குடியிருக்கிற இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனுக்கு மனவிருப்பத்துடன் கொடுத்த வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும்,
16 And all the silver and gold that thou canst find in all the province of Babylon, with the freewill offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem:
௧௬பாபிலோன் தேசமெங்கும் உனக்குக் கிடைக்கும் எல்லா வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும், உன்னுடைய மக்களும் ஆசாரியர்களும் எருசலேமிலுள்ள தங்கள் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திற்கென்று மனஉற்சாகமாகக் கொடுக்கும் காணிக்கைகளையும் நீ கொண்டுபோகவும், நீ ராஜாவினாலும் அவருடைய ஏழு மந்திரிகளாலும் அனுப்பப்படுகிறாய்.
17 That thou mayest buy speedily with this money bulls, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
௧௭ஆகையால் அந்தப் பணத்தால் நீ தாமதமின்றி காளைகளையும், ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், அவைகளுக்குரிய போஜனபலிகளையும், பானபலிகளையும் வாங்கி, அவைகளை எருசலேமிலுள்ள உங்கள் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்து பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் செலுத்துவாயாக.
18 And whatever shall seem good to thee, and to thy brethren, to do with the rest of the silver and gold, that do after the will of your God.
௧௮மீதியான வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும்கொண்டு செய்யவேண்டியது இன்னதென்று உனக்கும் உன் சகோதரர்களுக்கும் நலமாகத் தோன்றுகிறபடி அதை உங்கள் தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தின்படியே செய்யுங்கள்.
19 The vessels also that are given thee for the service of the house of thy God, those deliver thou before the God of Jerusalem.
௧௯உன் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் ஆராதனைக்காக உனக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட பொருட்களையும் நீ எருசலேமின் தேவனுடைய சந்நிதியில் ஒப்புவிக்கவேண்டும்.
20 And whatever more shall be needful for the house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of the king’s treasure house.
௨0பின்னும் உன் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு அவசியமாகக் கொடுக்கவேண்டியிருப்பதை, நீ ராஜாவின் கஜானாவிலிருந்து வாங்கிக் கொடுப்பாயாக.
21 And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers who are beyond the river, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,
௨௧நதிக்கு அப்புறத்திலிருக்கிற அனைத்து பொருளாளர்களுக்கும் அர்தசஷ்டா என்னும் ராஜாவாகிய நாம் இடுகிற கட்டளை என்னவென்றால், பரலோகத்தின் தேவனுடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைப் போதிக்கும் வேதபாரகனாகிய எஸ்றா என்னும் ஆசாரியன், நூறு தாலந்து வெள்ளி, நூறுகலம் கோதுமை, நூறுகலம் திராட்சைரசம், நூறுகலம் எண்ணெய்வரை, உங்களிடம் கேட்கிற எல்லாவற்றையும்,
22 To an hundred talents of silver, and to an hundred measures of wheat, and to an hundred baths of wine, and to an hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.
௨௨வேண்டிய உப்பையும், தாமதமில்லாமல் கொடுக்கவும்,
23 Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven: for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?
௨௩பரலோகத்தின் தேவனுடைய கற்பனையின்படியே, எது தேவையாயிருக்குமோ அதுவெல்லாம் பரலோகத்தின் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு கவனமாக செலுத்தப்படவும் வேண்டும்; ராஜாவும் அவருடைய மகன்களும் ஆளும் தேசத்தின்மேல் கடுங்கோபம் ஏன் வரவேண்டும்.
24 Also we inform you, that concerning any of the priests and Levites, singers, porters, Nethinims, or ministers of this house of God, it shall not be lawful to impose toll, tribute, or custom, upon them.
௨௪பின்னும் ஆசாரியர்களும், லேவியர்களும், பாடகர்களும், வாசல் காவலாளர்களும், நிதனீமியரும், தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பணிவிடைக்காரருமான ஒருவன்மேலும் எந்தவொரு வரியையும் சுமத்தக்கூடாதென்று அவர்களைக்குறித்து உங்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்துகிறோம்.
25 And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thy hand, set magistrates and judges, who may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.
௨௫மேலும் நதிக்கு மறுபுறத்திலிருந்து உன் தேவனுடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணங்களை அறிந்த அனைத்து மக்களையும் நியாயம் விசாரிக்கத் தகுதியுள்ள அறிஞர்களையும், நியாயாதிபதிகளையும், எஸ்றாவாகிய நீ உன்னிலுள்ள உன் தேவனுடைய ஞானத்தின்படியே ஏற்படுத்துவாயாக; அந்தப் பிரமாணங்களை அறியாதவர்களுக்கு அவைகளைப் போதிக்கவும் வேண்டும்.
26 And whoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be to death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
௨௬உன் தேவனுடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படியேயும், ராஜாவினுடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படியேயும் செய்யாதவனெவனும் உடனே மரணத்துக்காகிலும், நாடு கடத்தப்படுதலுக்காகிலும், அபராதத்துக்காகிலும், காவலுக்காகிலும் தீர்க்கப்பட்டுத் தண்டிக்கப்படக்கடவன் என்று எழுதியிருந்தது.
27 Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, who hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:
௨௭எருசலேமிலுள்ள யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தை அலங்கரிக்க, இப்படிப்பட்ட யோசனையை ராஜாவின் இருதயத்தில் அருளி, ராஜாவுக்கும் அவருடைய மந்திரிகளுக்கும் ராஜாவின் கைக்குள்ளான பலத்த எல்லா மகாப்பிரபுக்களுக்கும் முன்பாக எனக்கு தயவு கிடைக்கச் செய்த எங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.
28 And hath extended mercy to me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
௨௮அப்படியே என் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய கரம் என்மேல் இருந்ததால் நான் திடன்கொண்டு, இஸ்ரவேலில் சில தலைவர்களை என்னுடன் வரும்படி சேர்த்துக்கொண்டேன்.
