< Ezekiel 39 >
1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
“Ko ia, foha ʻoe tangata, kikite kia Koki pea ke lea, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; Vakai ʻoku ou tuʻu kiate koe, ʻe Koki, ʻa koe ko e ʻeiki lahi ʻo Meseke pea mo Tupale:
2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
Pea te u fakafoki koe ki mui, pea ko hono ono pe ʻoe vahe ʻiate koe ʻe tuku, pea te u pule ke ke haʻu koe mei he ngaahi potu tokelau, pea te u ʻomi koe ki he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻIsileli:
3 And I will strike thy bow out of thy left hand, and I will cause thy arrows to fall from thy right hand.
Pea te u fakahomoki hoʻo kaufana mei ho nima toʻohema, pea te u fakangangana hoʻo ngaahi ngahau mei ho nima toʻomataʻu.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy troops, and the people that are with thee: I will give thee to the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
Te ke hinga koe ki lalo ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻa koe, pea mo hoʻo ngaahi matatau, mo e kakai ʻoku kau taha mo koe: te u foaki koe ke kai ʻe he fanga manupuna ʻi he faʻahinga kehekehe ʻoku fekai, pea mo e fanga manu ʻoe vao.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
Te ke tō hifo koe ʻi he ʻataʻatā ʻoe funga kelekele: he ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, ko au kuo u lea ki ai.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell securely in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Pea te u tuku atu ha afi ki Mekoki, pea ki he lotolotonga ʻonautolu kotoa pē ʻoku nofo fakafiemālie ʻi he ngaahi motu pea te nau ʻilo ko Sihova au.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them profane my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
ʻE pehē ʻa ʻeku ʻai ke ʻiloa ʻa hoku huafa māʻoniʻoni ʻi he lotolotonga ʻo ʻIsileli; pea ʻe ʻikai te u tuku ke toe fakalieliaʻi ʻa hoku huafa māʻoniʻoni: pea ʻe ʻilo ʻe he hiteni ko Sihova au ko e tokotaha māʻoniʻoni ʻi ʻIsileli.”
8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day of which I have spoken.
ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, “Vakai kuo hokosia ia, pea kuo ʻosi hono fai; ko e ʻaho eni ʻaia naʻaku folofola ki ai.
9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the javelins, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
Pea ʻe ʻalu atu ʻakinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he ngaahi kolo ʻo ʻIsileli, pea te nau tutu ke vela ʻae ngaahi mahafu, ʻae pā mo e fakaū, ʻae kaufana pea mo e ngahau, ʻae tao nounou, pea mo e ngaahi tao, pea te nau tutu ia ʻi he afi ʻi he taʻu ʻe fitu.
10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall lay waste those that wasted them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.
Ko ia ia ʻe ʻikai fetuku ai ha fefie mei he vao, pe fai ha taʻanga mei he vao lahi; he te ne tutu ʻae mahafu ʻi he afi; pea te nau vete ʻakinautolu naʻe vete ʻakinautolu, mo kaihaʻa meiate kinautolu naʻe kaihaʻasi meiate kinautolu,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give to Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the travellers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the travellers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.
“Pea ʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, te u foaki kia Koki ʻae potu ongoongo, ko e tanuʻanga, ʻi ʻIsileli, ko e teleʻa ʻae kau fononga ʻoku ʻalu ki he potu fakahahake mei he tahi: ʻe kuku ai ʻae ihu ʻoe kau fononga: pea te nau tanu ʻi ai ʻa Koki mo ʻene kakai kotoa pē: pea te nau ui ia ko e teleʻa ʻo Hamoni-Koki.
12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be in burying them, that they may cleanse the land.
Pea ko e māhina ʻe fitu mo e tanu ʻakinautolu ʻe he fale ʻo ʻIsileli, koeʻuhi ke nau fakamaʻa ai ʻae fonua.
13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown in the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
ʻIo, ʻe kau kotoa pē ʻae kakai kotoa pē ʻoe fonua ʻi he tanu ʻakinautolu; pea ʻe hoko ko e meʻa ongoongolelei lahi ʻae ʻaho ko ia ʻe fakaongoleleiʻi au, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua.
14 And they shall set apart men for the continual task of passing through the land to bury with the travellers those that remain upon the face of the land, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
Pea te nau vahe mai ha kau tangata ke ngāue maʻu pe mo ʻalu atu ʻi he fonua, ke nau kau taha mo e kakai fononga ke tanu ʻakinautolu ʻoku kei toe ʻi he funga ʻoe fonua, kae fakamaʻa ia: te nau kumi pehē ʻoka hili ʻae māhina ʻe fitu.
15 And as travellers pass through the land, when any seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.
Pea ko kinautolu ʻoku fononga atu ʻi he fonua, ka nau ka sio ki ha huiʻi tangata te nau fokotuʻu ha fakaʻilonga ʻi he potu ko ia, kaeʻoua ke tanu ia ʻi he teleʻa ʻo Hamoni Koki ʻe he kau haʻa tufunga.
16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
Pea ʻe ui foki ʻae kolo ko Hamoni. ʻE pehē ʻenau fakamaʻa ʻae fonua.”
17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak to every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
Pea ko koe foha ʻoe tangata, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; “Lea ki he faʻahinga manupuna kotoa pē, pea ki he manu kotoa pē ʻoe vao, ʻo pehē, Fakataha mai ʻakimoutolu, pea haʻu; fakataha mai ʻakimoutolu mei he potu kotoa pē ki heʻeku feilaulau, ʻaia ʻoku ou feilaulau ʻaki maʻamoutolu, ʻio, ʻae feilaulau lahi ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻo ʻIsileli, koeʻuhi ke mou kai kakano, mo inu ʻae toto.
18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
Te mou kai ʻae kakano ʻoe kakai ongoongo, mo inu ʻae toto ʻoe houʻeiki ʻo māmani, ʻae fanga sipitangata mo e fanga lami, mo e fanga kosi, mo e fanga pulu, ko e fanga manu sino kotoa pē mei Pesani.
19 And ye shall eat fat till ye are full, and drink blood till ye are drunk, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
Pea te mou kai ngako kaeʻoua ke mou fiu, pea te mou inu ʻae toto kaeʻoua ke mou konā, ʻi he feilaulau ko ia kuo u feilaulau ʻaki maʻamoutolu.
20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
ʻE pehē ʻa hoʻomou mākona mei heʻeku keinangaʻanga ʻi he fanga hoosi, mo e saliote, fakataha mo e kau tangata ongoongo, mo e kau toʻa kotoa pē ʻoe tau,” ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua.
21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
“Pea te u tuku ʻa hoku nāunau ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe hiteni, pea ʻe mamata ʻae hiteni kotoa pē ki he tautea kuo u fai, pea mo e hilifaki ʻa hoku nima kiate kinautolu.
22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.
Ko ia ʻe ʻilo ai ʻe he fale ʻo ʻIsileli, ko au Sihova ko honau ʻOtua, mei he ʻaho ko ia ʻo fai ki mui.
23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore I hid my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so they all fell by the sword.
Pea ʻe ʻilo ʻe he hiteni ko e meʻa ʻi he angahala, naʻe ʻalu ai ʻae fale ʻo ʻIsileli ki he pōpula: koeʻuhi naʻa nau fai hala kiate au, ko ia naʻaku fufū ai hoku mata meiate kinautolu, pea u tuku ʻakinautolu ki he nima ʻo honau ngaahi fili: ko ia ne nau hinga ai kotoa pē ʻi he heletā.
24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done to them, and hidden my face from them.
Kuo u fai kiate kinautolu, pea u fufū hoku mata meiate kinautolu, ʻo fakatatau ki heʻenau fakalielia, pea hangē ko ʻenau ngaahi angahala.”
25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
Ko ia ʻoku pehē ai ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; “Ko eni, te u toe ʻomi mei he pōpula ʻa Sēkope, pea te u ʻaloʻofa ki he fale kotoa ʻo ʻIsileli, pea te u fuaʻa, koeʻuhi ko hoku huafa māʻoniʻoni;
26 After they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses by which they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
ʻOka hili ʻenau fua ʻenau mā, mo ʻenau meʻa kovi kotoa pē, ʻaia kuo nau fai kovi ai kiate au, lolotonga ʻenau nofo fiemālie ʻi honau fonua, pea ʻikai ha taha ke nau manavahē ki ai.
27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of the lands of their enemies, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
ʻO kau ka ʻomi ʻakinautolu mei he kakai, mo tānaki mai ʻakinautolu mei he fonua ʻoe fili, pea ka fakaongoongoleleiʻi au ʻiate kinautolu ʻi he ʻao ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga lahi;
28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, who caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them to their own land, and have left none of them there any more.
Te nau toki ʻilo ko au Sihova, ko honau ʻOtua, naʻaku tuku ʻakinautolu ke nau ʻalu pōpula ki he hiteni: ka kuo u tānaki ʻakinautolu ki honau fonua ʻonautolu, pea ʻoku ʻikai kei tuku ʻi ai hanau tokotaha.
29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
Pea ʻe ʻikai te u toe fufū hoku mata meiate kinautolu: he ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua, kuo u lilingi hoku laumālie ki he fale ʻo ʻIsileli.”
