< Ephesians 5 >
1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
Hiza, Xoossay dosiya naytada iya daanite.
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Kiristtoosi nuna dosidi bana nu gisho Xoossaas sawiya imonne yarshsho oothidi immidayssada hintteka siiqon de7ite.
3 But immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
Shin laymatethi, tunatethinne uuzetethi ammaniyaa asaas bessonna gisho hintte giddon ubbaraka si7ettofo.
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.
Xoossaa galatiteppe attin yeellayabaynne eeya odi woykko qidhey hinttew bessonna gisho hintte giddon ubbaka de7oppo.
5 For this ye know, that no immoral, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Hayssa erite; oonikka laymatey woykko tunabaa oothey woykko uuzettey Kiristtoosa kawotethaanne Xoossaa kawotethaa laattanaw dandda7enna. Uuzetethi eeqa goynno mela.
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
Hayssata gaason Xoossaa hanqoy kiitettonna asaa bolla yaana gisho oonikka hinttena pathonna odan cimmofo.
7 Be ye not therefore partakers with them.
Hessa mela asaara issifetethi oothofite.
8 For ye were once darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Kase hintte dhuman de7ideta, shin ha77i Godaa baggara poo7on de7eeta. Hiza, poo7o asada poo7on simerettite.
9 ( For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; )
Poo7oy lo77otethi, xillotethinne tumatethi ayfees.
10 Proving what is acceptable to the Lord.
Godaa ufayssiyabaa oothanaw koyite.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
Go77i baynna dhuma ooso qonccisiteppe attin iyara issifoppite.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
Entti geeman oothiya oosuwa hari attoshin odanawukka yeellayees.
13 But all things that are reproved are made visible by the light: for whatever doth make manifest is light.
Shin ubbabay poo7on keyaa wode qonccen benttees.
14 Therefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Poo7oy ubbabaa qonccen bessees. Hessa gisho, “Neno dhiskkeysso barkka; hayqoppe dendda; Kiristtoosi ne bolla poo7ana” yaagettis.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Hiza, hintte waanidi de7iyakko akeeki be7ite. Cinccata giditeppe attin eeyata gidoppite.
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Laythay iita gidiya gisho injjetiya wode ubbaa go7ettite.
17 Therefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Hessa gisho, Godaa sheney aybeekko akeekiteppe attin eeyoppite.
18 And be not drunk with wine, in which is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Geeshsha Ayyaanan gallas gallas kumiteppe attin dhayokko hinttena kaalethiya gisho woyne ushshan mathottofite.
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Mazmuren, sabaninne ayyaana yethan, issoy issuwara odetite. Qassi hintte wozanan zammarishenne sabbishe Godaa galatite.
20 Giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Nu Godaa Yesuus Kiristtoosa sunthan ubba wode Xoossaa Aawa ubbabaas galatite.
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Kiristtoosa bonchchuwas gidi issoy issuwas haarettite.
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
Machcheto, Godaas haaretteyssada hintte azinatas haarettite.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Kiristtoosi woosa keethaas huu7e gideyssada azinikka ba machchees huu7e. Qassi Kiristtoos ba asatethi gidida woosa keethaa ashsheyssa.
24 Therefore as the church is subject to Christ, so let wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Shin woosa keethay Kiristtoosas haaretteyssada machcheti bantta azinatas ubbaban haarettanaw bessees.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Azinatoo, Kiristtoosi woosa keethaa dosidi bana iw immidayssada hintteka hintte machcheta dosite.
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
I woosa keethaa ba qaala baggara haathan meeccidi geeshshis.
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Kiristtoosi woosa keethaa qiti woykko som77o tuussi woykko hessa melabay baynna I kumetha bonchchuwara geeshshinne borettonnaaro oothidi baakko shiishanaw koyidi hessa oothis.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Hessadakka, azinati banttana doseyssada bantta machcheta dosanaw bessees. Ba machchiw doseyssi bana dosees.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Bana ixxiya asi oonikka baawa, shin Kiristtoosi woosa keethaas ootheyssada ba asatethaa muzeesinne naagees.
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Nuuni Kiristtoosa asatethaa billiteta.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Xoossaa qaalay, “Hessa gisho, asi ba aawanne ba aayiw aggidi, ba machcheera issife daana; entti nam77ayka issi asho gidana” yaagees.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Hayssi gita xuura, shin taani hessa Kiristtoosabaanne woosa keethabaa leemiso oothada odays.
33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Gidoshin, hintte issoy issoy hintte machcheta hinttee, hinttena doseyssada dosite. Issi issi machcha ba azinaa bonchchanaw bessees.
