Ephesians 3
1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
Por esta causa eu, Paulo, sou o prisioneiro de Jesus Christo por vós, os gentios;
2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me on your account:
Se é que tendes ouvido a dispensação da graça de Deus, que para comvosco me foi dada;
3 That by revelation he made known to me the mystery; ( as I wrote before in few words,
Como me foi este mysterio manifestado pela revelação (como acima em poucas palavras vos escrevi;
4 By which, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ )
Pelo que, lendo, podeis entender a minha sciencia n'este mysterio de Christo),
5 Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
O qual n'outros seculos não foi manifestado aos filhos dos homens, como agora é revelado pelo Espirito aos seus sanctos apostolos e prophetas;
6 That the Gentiles should be joint-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
A saber, que os gentios são coherdeiros, e de um mesmo corpo, e participantes da sua promessa em Christo pelo evangelho;
7 Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effectual working of his power.
Do qual sou feito ministro, pelo dom da graça de Deus, que me foi dado segundo a operação do seu poder.
8 To me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
A mim, o minimo de todos os sanctos, me foi dada esta graça de annunciar entre os gentios, por meio do evangelho, as riquezas incomprehensiveis de Christo,
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: (aiōn g165)
E mostrar a todos qual seja a communhão do mysterio, que desde todos os seculos esteve occulto em Deus, que por Christo Jesus creou todas as coisas; (aiōn g165)
10 To the intent that now to the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Para que agora pela egreja a multiforme sabedoria de Deus seja manifestada aos principados e potestades nos céus,
Segundo o eterno proposito que fez em Christo Jesus nosso Senhor: (aiōn g165)
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
No qual temos ousadia e accesso com confiança, pela fé n'elle.
13 Therefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
Portanto vos peço que não desfalleçaes nas minhas tribulações por vós, que são a vossa gloria
14 For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Por causa d'isto me ponho de joelhos perante o Pae de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Do qual toda a familia nos céus e na terra toma o nome.
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Para que, segundo as riquezas da sua gloria, vos conceda que sejaes corroborados com poder pelo seu Espirito no homem interior;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Para que Christo habite pela fé nos vossos corações; para que, estando arraigados e fundados em amor,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Possaes perfeitamente comprehender, com todos os sanctos, qual seja a largura, e o comprimento, e a altura, e a profundidade,
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled with all the fulness of God.
E conhecer o amor de Christo, que excede todo o entendimento, para que sejaes cheios de toda a plenitude de Deus.
20 Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Ora, áquelle que é poderoso para fazer tudo muito mais abundantemente do que pedimos ou pensamos, segundo o poder que em nós opéra,
