Colossians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
Павел, апостол Ісус-Христа волею Божою, та Тимотей брат,
2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colosse: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
до сьвятих і вірних братів у Христї, що в Колосах: Благодать вам і мир од Бога, Отця нашого, і Господа Ісуса Христа.
3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
Дякуємо Богу й Отцеві Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, молячись всякого часу за вас,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
почувши про віру вашу в Христї Ісусї і любов, що маєте до всїх сьвятих,
5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which ye have heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
задля надії, що зложена для вас на небесах, про яку ви чували перше в слові правди благовіствування,
6 Which is come to you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
що прийшло до вас, яко ж і до всього сьвіта, і дав овощ, яко ж і в вас, від того дня, як ви почули і зрозуміли благодать Божу в правдї,
7 As ye also learned from Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;
яко ж і навчились од Єпафра, любого нашого товариша слуги, котрий єсть вірний служитель Христів, за вас,
8 Who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
котрий і явив нам вашу любов у дусї.
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Того-то й ми, від того дня, як почули, не перестаємо за вас молитись і просити, щоб ви сповнились розуміннєм волї Його у всякій премудрости і розумі духовному,
10 That ye may walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
щоб ходити вам достойно перед Господом у всякому догоджуванню, і у всякому доброму дїлї приносячи овощ і ростучи в розумінню Бога,
11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, to all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
кріпшаючи усякою силою по потузї слави Його на всяке видержуваннє і довготерпіннє з радощами,
12 Giving thanks to the Father, who hath made us qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
дякуючи Отцеві, котрий зробив нас достойними спільности в наслїд-дю сьвятих у сьвітлї,
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his beloved Son:
котрий збавив нас од власти тьми і перенїс у царство Сина любови своєї,
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
в котрому маємо викуп кровю Його і прощеннє гріхів.
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation:
Котрий єсть образ невидомого Бога, перворідень усякого творива.
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are upon earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Бо Ним сотворене все, що на небесах і що на землї, видиме й невидиме, чи престоли, чи панства, чи князівства, чи власті, - все Ним і для Него сотворене.
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Він єсть перш усього, і все в Ньому стоїть.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he may have the preeminence.
І Він голова тїлу і церкві. Він початок, перворідень з мертвих, щоб у всьому Йому передувати.
19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
Бо зволив (Отець), щоб у Ньому вселилась уся повня,
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things to himself; by him, I say, whether they are things on earth, or things in heaven.
і щоб через Него поєднати все з собою, примиривши кровю хреста Його, через Него, чи то земне, чи то небесне.
21 And you, that were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
І вас, що були колись відчуженими і ворогували думкою у лукавих ділах, тепер же примирив
22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
у тїлї плоти Його смертю, щоб поставити вас сьвятими и непорочними й неповинними перед собою,
23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; of which I Paul am made a minister;
коли оце пробуваєте в вірі основані і тверді, і неподвижимі в упованнї благовістя, котре чули проповідуване усьому твориву піднебесному, котрому став я Павел служителем.
24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the church:
Тепер радуюсь у страданнях моїх за вас, і доповняю недостаток горювання Христового у тїлї моїм (смертному) за тіло Його, котре єсть церква,
25 Of which I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
котрої став я слугою по доморядництву Божому, даному мені про вас, щоб сповнити слово Боже,
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is revealed to his saints: (aiōn g165)
тайну закриту од віків і од родів, тепер же явлену сьвятим Його, (aiōn g165)
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
котрим Бог зводив обявити, яке багацтво слави тайни сієї між поганами, котре всть Христос в вас, надїя слави,
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
котрого ми проповідуємо, наставляючи кожного чоловіка всякої премудроети, щоб нам представити кожного чоловіка звершеного в Христї Ісусї
29 For which I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
У чому й працюю, воюючи силою Його, що орудує в мені потужно.
