Amos 9

1 I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

[神視五：號上主消滅惡人無一倖免]我看見吾主站在祭壇旁，擊打柱帽，門限震動。衪說：「我要砍下他們眾人的頭，剩下的要用刀殺盡；他們中一個也逃不了，一個也不能幸免生存。

2 Though they dig into hell, from there shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, from there will I bring them down: (Sheol h7585)

既使鑽入陰府，我的手必從那裏將他們揪出；既使飛上高天，我也必從那裏將他們拉下； (Sheol h7585)

3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out from there; and though they are hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, from there will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:

既使藏在加爾默耳山頂，我必去搜尋，從那裏逮回；既使避開我的眼目逃入海底，我也必令蛟龍將他們咬死；

4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, there will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set my eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

既使在敵人面前被擄去充軍，我必命刀劍殺死他們；我的眼注視他們，是為加害，不是為祝福。」

5 And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell in it shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a river; and shall be drowned, as by the river of Egypt.

吾主上主一觸摸大地，大地就溶化，地上所有的居民便都哀號，全地泛濫有如尼羅，退落有如埃及大河。

6 It is he that buildeth his chambers in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

衪在高天建造了樓閣，在地上奠定了穹蒼，召海水傾流於地面，衪名叫「雅威」。

7 Are ye not as children of the Cushites to me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel from the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

以色列子民! 你們對我豈不是像雇士子民﹖──上主的斷語──豈不是我由埃及領出了以色列，由加非托爾領出了培肋舍特人，由克爾領出了阿蘭人﹖

8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.

看，吾主上主的眼注視這犯罪的國家，我必由此地面上將她消滅。然而我不全然消滅雅各伯家──上主的斷語──

9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the smallest grain fall upon the earth.

看，我必下令，要在萬民中如人用篩子篩以色列，不讓一粒落在地上。

10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, The evil shall not overtake nor fall upon us.

我百姓中那些人說：「災禍不會臨近，不會來到我們身上」的一罪人，都要死在刀下。

11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up its breaches; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

在那一天，我必樹起達味已塌蹋的帳幕，修補它的缺口，重建它的廢壚：使它重建有如往日，

12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, who are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

使他們征服厄木田的遣民和屬於我名下的萬民──行這事的上主的斷語──

13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

看，時日將到，──上主的斷語──那時耕田的人要緊靠著收割的人，榨洒的人要緊靠著播種的人；山嶺要滴下新酒，丘陵都要溶化奔流。

14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine of them; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

我必要轉變我民以色列的命運，他們必要重建已荒廢的城市，再住在其中；栽植葡萄園，飲其中的美酒；耕種田園，吃其中出產。

15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.

我要將他們栽植在自己的地內，他們不會再從我賜與他們的地上被拔除──上主你的天主說。
