2 Samuel 23

1 Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

১এয়ে দায়ূদৰ শেহতীয়া কথা। যিচয়ৰ পুত্ৰ দায়ুদ, উচ্চ সন্মানীয় পুৰুষ, যাকোবৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ দ্বাৰাই অভিষিক্ত এজন, এজন ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মধুৰ স্তুতি গীত গাওঁতা৷

2 The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was on my tongue.

২“মোৰ দ্বাৰাই যিহোৱাৰ আত্মাই কথা ক’লে, তেওঁৰ বাক্য মোৰ জিভাত আছিল৷

3 The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spoke to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

৩ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰে ক’লে, ‘ইস্ৰায়েলৰ শিলাই মোক ক’লে, লোকসকলৰ ওপৰত যি জনে ন্যায়ৰূপে ৰাজত্ব কৰে, যি জনে ঈশ্বৰলৈ ভয় ৰাখি শাসন কৰে,

4 And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

৪তেওঁ সূৰ্য উদয় হোৱা কালৰ সেই প্ৰভাতৰ দীপ্তিস্বৰূপ, মেঘ নথকা প্ৰভাত সদৃশ, যেতিয়া পৃথিৱীত তৃণ গজে, বৰষুণৰ পাছত সূৰ্যৰ কিৰণৰ দ্বাৰাই।

5 Although my house is not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he maketh it not to grow.

৫স্বৰূপেই ঈশ্বৰৰ সন্মুখত মোৰ বংশ তেনে নহয় নে? কিয়নো তেওঁ মোৰ লগত এটি চিৰস্থায়ী নিয়ম স্থাপন কৰিলে, সেয়ে সম্পূৰ্ণ শৃঙ্খলাযুক্ত আৰু সত্য? কাৰণ মোলৈ প্ৰতিজ্ঞা কৰা মোৰ সকলো পৰিত্ৰাণ আৰু মঙ্গল তেওঁ বৃদ্ধি নকৰিব নে?

6 But the worthless, all of them shall be as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:

৬কিন্তু আটাই দুষ্ট লোক পেলাব লগা কাঁইট স্বৰূপ, কিয়নো সেইবোৰক হাতেৰে ধৰিব নোৱাৰি৷

7 But the man that shall touch them must be armed with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.

৭কিন্তু যি মানুহে তেওঁলোকক চুব, তেওঁ লোহা আৰু বৰছাৰ কুৰা হাতত লব লাগিব৷ পাছত তেওঁলোক থকা ঠাইতে তেওঁলোকক জুইৰে নিচেইকৈ পুৰা যাব’।”

8 These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lifted up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.

৮দায়ূদৰ যি সকল বীৰ আছিল, তেওঁলোকৰ নাম এই। তথমোনীয়া যোচেব-বচেবৎ সেনাপতি সকলৰ অধ্যক্ষ৷ তেওঁ একে সময়তে আঠ শ লোকক বধ কৰিলে।

9 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel had gone away:

৯তেওঁৰ পাছত অহোহীয়া দোদয়ৰ পুত্ৰ ইলিয়াজ; দায়ূদৰ তিনিজন ক্ষমতাশালী পুৰুষসকলৰ মাজৰ এজন৷ যিজন যুদ্ধলৈ গোট খোৱা পলেষ্টীয়াসকলক ইতিকিং কৰিছিল আৰু যি সময়ত ইস্ৰায়েল লোকসকল যুদ্ধলৈ উঠি গৈছিল, সেই সময়ত দায়ূদৰ লগত আছিল৷

10 He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clung to the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to strip the slain.

১০ইলিয়াজে উঠি হাত শ্ৰান্ত নোহোৱামানলৈকে পলেষ্টীয়াসকলক প্ৰহাৰ কৰি আছিল। যিদিনালৈকে তৰোৱালখন তেওঁৰ হাতত লাগি ৰ’ল; সেই দিনাই যিহোৱাই মহানিস্তাৰ আনিলে, আৰু লোকসকলে কেৱল লুট কৰিবলৈ ইলিয়াজৰ পাছে পাছে গ’ল।

11 And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines.

১১আৰু তেওঁৰ পাছত হৰাৰীয়া আগিৰ পুত্ৰ চম্পা আছিল। যি ঠাইত মচুৰ মাহৰ খেতি আছিল, সেই ঠাইতে পলেষ্টীয়াসকলে গোট খাই দল পাতিছিল আৰু সৈন্যসকল ফিলিষ্টীয়াসকলৰ আগৰ পৰা পলাইছিল৷

12 But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.

১২কিন্তু চম্পা খেতিৰ মাজত থিয় হৈ তাক ৰক্ষা কৰিলে, আৰু পলেষ্টীয়াসকলক বধ কৰিলে; এইদৰে যিহোৱাই মহা-নিস্তাৰ আনিলে।

13 And three of the thirty leaders went down, and came to David in the harvest time to the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines encamped in the valley of Rephaim.

১৩ত্রিশজন সৈন্যৰ মাজৰ তিনি জন লোক শস্য দোৱা সময়ত অদুল্লম গুহাত থকা দায়ূদৰ ওচৰলৈ গ’ল৷ তেতিয়া পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ দলে ৰফায়ীম উপত্যকাত ছাউনি পাতি আছিল।

14 And David was then in a strong hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

১৪সেই কালত দায়ুদ দৃঢ় সংৰক্ষিত এটা গুহাত আছিল, আৰু তেতিয়া পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ প্ৰহৰী সৈন্যদলে বৈৎলেহেমত প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰিছিল।

15 And David longed, and said, O that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!

১৫পাছত দায়ূদে পানীৰ বাবে বৰ হাবিয়াহ কৰি ক’লে, “অহ, বৈৎলেহেমৰ দুৱাৰৰ ওচৰত থকা সেই নাদৰ পৰা পানী খাবলৈ আনি দিয়া হ’লে, মই কেনে ভাল পালোঁহেঁতেন!”

16 And the three mighty men broke through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink of it, but poured it out to the LORD.

১৬তাতে সেই তিনিজন বীৰ পুৰুষে পলেষ্টীয়াসকলৰ সৈন্যবোৰক ভেদ কৰি গৈ, বৈৎলেহেমৰ দুৱাৰৰ ওচৰত থকা সেই নাদৰ পানী তুলি আনিলে৷ তেওঁলোকে সেই পানী দায়ূদৰ ওচৰলৈ লৈ আহিল, কিন্তু তেওঁ তাক পান কৰিবলৈ ইচ্ছা নকৰিলে৷ বৰং তাক যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশে ঢালি দিলে।

17 And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

১৭তেতিয়া তেওঁ ক’লে, “হে যিহোৱা, এনে কার্য মোৰ পৰা দূৰ হওঁক, যে ইয়াক মই পান কৰিম, এয়ে জানো আচলতে নিজ প্ৰাণ লৈ যোৱা লোকসকলৰ তেজ নহয়?” এই কাৰণে তেওঁ তাক পান কৰিবলৈ ইচ্ছা নকৰিলে। সেই বীৰ তিনিজনেই এই ক্ষমতাশালী কৰ্ম কৰিছিল।

18 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.

১৮আৰু চৰূয়াৰ পুত্ৰ যোৱাবৰ ভায়েক অবীচয়, এই তিনিজনৰ ওপৰত সেনাধ্যক্ষ আছিল৷ এবাৰ তেওঁ তিনি শ লোকৰ বিৰুদ্ধে নিজৰ বৰছা চলাই সিহঁতক বধ কৰিছিল৷ আৰু তিনি জনৰ মাজত প্ৰায়েই তেওঁৰ নাম হৈছিল।

19 Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: yet he attained not to the first three.

১৯তেওঁ জানো সেই তিনি জনৰ মাজত অধিক মৰ্য্যদা পোৱা লোক নহয়? এই হেতুকে তেওঁ তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত সেনাধ্যক্ষ হ’ল৷ তথাপিও তেওঁ এই প্ৰথম তিনি জনৰ সমানে প্ৰখ্যাত হোৱা নাছিল।

20 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many deeds, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:

২০এজন কবচেলীয়া বীৰপুৰুষ, যিহোয়াদাৰ পুত্ৰ যি বনায়া, তেওঁ অনেক মহৎ কাৰ্য কৰিছিল৷ তেওঁ মোৱাবীয়া অৰীয়েলৰ দুজন পুতেকক বধ কৰিছিল৷ তাৰ বাহিৰেও হিম পৰা কালত তেওঁ গৈ গাতৰ ভিতৰত থকা এটা সিংহ মাৰিছিল।

21 And he slew an Egyptian, a handsome man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his own spear.

২১আৰু তেওঁ এজন বৰ সুন্দৰ মিচৰীয়াক বধ কৰিছিল৷ সেই মিচৰীয়াৰ হাতত এপাত বৰছা আছিল, কিন্তু তেওঁ এডাল লাখুটি লৈ সেই মিচৰীয়াজনৰ সৈতে যুঁজিছিল৷ তেওঁ মিচৰীয়াজনৰ হাতৰ পৰা বৰছাপাত কাঢ়ি লৈ, তেওঁৰ বৰছাৰেই তেওঁক বধ কৰিলে।

22 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had a name among three mighty men.

২২যিহোয়াদাৰ পুত্ৰ বনায়াই এই বীৰত্বপূৰ্ণ কাৰ্যবোৰ কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁ সেই তিনি জন বীৰৰ লগে লগে তেওঁৰো নাম হ’ল।

23 He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.

২৩তেওঁ ত্ৰিশ জনকৈ অধিক মৰ্য্যদা পোৱা হ’ল যদিও তেওঁ প্ৰথম তিনি জনৰ সমান হোৱা নাছিল। তথাপিও দায়ূদে তেওঁক নিজৰ গা-ৰক্ষীয়া সৈন্যদলৰ ওপৰত অধ্যক্ষ পাতিলে।

24 Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

২৪যোৱাবৰ ভায়েক অচাহেল ত্ৰিশ জনৰ মাজৰ এজন আছিল; বৈৎলেহেমীয়া দোদৰ পুত্ৰ ইলহানন,

25 Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

২৫হৰোদীয়া চম্মা, হৰাদীয়া ইলীকা,

26 Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

২৬পলটীয়া হেলচ, তাকোইয়া ইক্কেচৰ পুত্ৰ ঈৰা,

27 Abiezer the Anethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

২৭অনাথোতীয়া অবীয়েজৰ, হূচাতীয়া মবুন্নয়,

28 Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

২৮অহোহীয়া চলমোন, নটোফাতীয়া মহৰয়;

29 Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai out of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,

২৯নটোফাতীয়া বানাৰ পুত্ৰ হেলেব, বিন্যামীনৰ সন্তান সকলৰ গিবিয়া-নিবাসী ৰীবয়ৰ পুত্ৰ ইত্তয়,

30 Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,

৩০পিৰাথোনীয়া বনায়া, গাচ উপত্যকা-নিবাসী হিদ্দয়৷

31 Abialbon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

৩১অৰ্বাতীয়া অবীঅলবোন, বৰ্হূমীয়া অজমাবৎ,

32 Eliahba the Shaalbonite, of the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,

৩২চালবোনীয়া ইলিয়হবা, বনে-যাচনেৰ পুত্ৰসকল যোনাথন;

33 Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Hararite,

৩৩হৰাৰীয়া চম্মা, অৰাৰীয়া চাৰৰৰ পুত্ৰ অহীয়াম,

34 Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maachathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

৩৪মাখাথীয়া অহচবয়ৰ পুত্ৰ ইলীফেলট, গিলোনীয়া অহীথোফলৰ পুত্ৰ ইলীয়াম,

35 Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,

৩৫কৰ্মিলীয়া হিষো, অৰ্বীয়া পাৰয়,

36 Igal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,

৩৬চোবা নিবাসী নাথনৰ পুত্ৰ ঈগাল, গাদীয়া গোষ্ঠীৰ বানী,

37 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Beerothite, armourbearer to Joab the son of Zeruiah,

৩৭অম্মোনীয়া চেলক, আৰু চৰূয়াৰ পুত্ৰ যোৱাবৰ অস্ত্ৰবাহন বেৰোতীয়া নহৰয়,

38 Ira an Ithrite, Gareb an Ithrite,

৩৮যিত্ৰীয়া ঈৰা, যিত্ৰীয়া গাৰেব,

39 Uriah the Hittite: thirty and seven in all.

৩৯আৰু হিত্তীয়া ঊৰিয়া; সৰ্ব্বমুঠ সাতত্ৰিশ জন।
