2 Samuel 21
1 Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
| و در ایام داود، سه سال علی الاتصال قحطی شد، و داود به حضور خداوندسوال کرد و خداوند گفت: «به‌سبب شاول وخاندان خون ریز او شده است زیرا که جبعونیان را کشت.» | ۱ |
2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said to them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn to them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
| و پادشاه جبعونیان را خوانده، به ایشان گفت (اما جبعونیان از بنی‌اسرائیل نبودندبلکه از بقیه اموریان، و بنی‌اسرائیل برای ایشان قسم خورده بودند؛ لیکن شاول از غیرتی که برای اسرائیل و یهودا داشت، قصد قتل ایشان می‌نمود). | ۲ |
3 Therefore David said to the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and how shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD?
| و داود به جبعونیان گفت: «برای شماچه بکنم و با چه چیز کفاره نمایم تا نصیب خداوند را برکت دهید.» | ۳ |
4 And the Gibeonites said to him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.
| جبعونیان وی را گفتند: «از شاول و خاندانش، نقره و طلا نمی خواهیم ونه آنکه کسی در اسرائیل برای ما کشته شود.» اوگفت: «هرچه شما بگویید، برای شما خواهم کرد.» | ۴ |
5 And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining within any border of Israel,
| ایشان به پادشاه گفتند: «آن شخص که مارا تباه می‌ساخت و برای ما تدبیر می‌کرد که ما راهلاک سازد تا در هیچ کدام از حدود اسرائیل باقی نمانیم، | ۵ |
6 Let seven men of his sons be delivered to us, and we will hang them up to the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD chose. And the king said, I will give them.
| هفت نفر از پسران او به ما تسلیم شوند تاایشان را در حضور خداوند در جبعه شاول که برگزیده خداوند بود به دار کشیم.» پادشاه گفت: «ایشان را به شما تسلیم خواهم کرد.» | ۶ |
7 But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD’S oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
| اما پادشاه، مفیبوشت بن یوناتان بن شاول رادریغ داشت، به‌سبب قسم خداوند که در میان ایشان، یعنی در میان داود و یوناتان بن شاول بود. | ۷ |
8 But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bore to Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:
| و پادشاه ارمونی و مفیبوشت، دو پسر رصفه، دختر ایه که ایشان را برای شاول زاییده بود، وپنج پسر میکال، دختر شاول را که برای عدرئیل بن برزلای محولاتی زاییده بود، گرفت، | ۸ |
9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them on the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.
| و ایشان را به‌دست جبعونیان تسلیم نموده، آنها را در آن کوه به حضور خداوند به دار کشیدند و این هفت نفر با هم افتادند، و ایشان در ابتدای ایام حصاد دراول درویدن جو کشته شدند. | ۹ |
10 And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until the rain poured on them from heaven, and allowed neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.
| و رصفه، دختر ایه، پلاسی گرفته، آن رابرای خود از ابتدای درو تا باران از آسمان برایشان بارانیده شد، بر صخره‌ای گسترانید، ونگذاشت که پرندگان هوا در روز، یا بهایم صحرادر شب بر ایشان بیایند. | ۱۰ |
11 And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done.
| و داود را از آنچه رصفه، دختر ایه، متعه شاول کرده بود، خبردادند. | ۱۱ |
12 And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, who had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa:
| پس داود رفته، استخوانهای شاول واستخوانهای پسرش، یوناتان را از اهل یابیش جلعاد گرفت که ایشان آنها را از شارع عام بیت‌شان دزدیده بودند، جایی که فلسطینیان آنهارا آویخته بودند در روزی که فلسطینیان شاول رادر جلبوع کشته بودند. | ۱۲ |
13 And he brought up from there the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged.
| و استخوانهای شاول واستخوانهای پسرش، یوناتان را از آنجا آورد واستخوانهای آنانی را که بر دار بودند نیز، جمع کردند. | ۱۳ |
14 And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son they buried in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was entreated for the land.
| و استخوانهای شاول و پسرش یوناتان را در صیلع، در زمین بنیامین، در قبر پدرش قیس، دفن کردند و هرچه پادشاه امر فرموده بود، بجاآوردند. و بعد از آن، خدا به جهت زمین اجابت فرمود. | ۱۴ |
15 Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David became faint.
| و باز فلسطینیان با اسرائیل جنگ کردند وداود با بندگانش فرود آمده، با فلسطینیان مقاتله نمودند و داود وامانده شد. | ۱۵ |
16 And Ishbibenob, who was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear was three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought of slaying David.
| و یشبی بنوب که ازاولاد رافا بود و وزن نیزه او سیصد مثقال برنج بودو شمشیری نو بر کمر داشت، قصد کشتن داودنمود. | ۱۶ |
17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David swore to him, saying, Thou shalt go out no more with us to battle, that thou mayest not put out the light of Israel.
| اما ابیشای ابن صرویه او را مدد کرده، آن فلسطینی را زد و کشت. آنگاه کسان داود قسم خورده، به وی گفتند: «بار دیگر همراه ما به جنگ نخواهی آمد مبادا چراغ اسرائیل را خاموش گردانی.» | ۱۷ |
18 And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, who was of the sons of the giant.
| و بعد از آن نیز، جنگی با فلسطینیان درجوب واقع شد که در آن سبکای حوشاتی، صاف را که او نیز از اولاد رافا بود، کشت. | ۱۸ |
19 And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.
| و باز جنگ با فلسطینیان در جوب واقع شد و الحانان بن یعری ارجیم بیت لحمی، جلیات جتی را کشت که چوب نیزه‌اش مثل نورد جولاهکان بود. | ۱۹ |
20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.
| ودیگر جنگی در جت واقع شد که در آنجا مردی بلند قد بود که دست و پای او هریک شش انگشت داشت که جمله آنها بیست و چهار باشد و او نیزبرای رافا زاییده شده بود. | ۲۰ |
21 And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea the brother of David slew him.
| و چون اسرائیل را به ننگ‌آورد، یوناتان بن شمعی، برادر داود، او راکشت. | ۲۱ |
22 These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
| این چهار نفر برای رافا در جت زاییده شده بودند و به‌دست داود و به‌دست بندگانش افتادند. | ۲۲ |
