2 Kings 9
1 And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said to him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thy hand, and go to Ramothgilead:
भविष्यद्वक्ता एलीशा ने भविष्यद्वक्ता मंडल के एक भविष्यद्वक्ता को आदेश दिया, “कमर बांधो, अपने हाथ में यह तेल की कुप्पी लो और रामोथ-गिलआद चले जाओ.
2 And when thou comest there, find Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and take him to an inner chamber;
वहां पहुंचकर निमशी के पोते, यहोशाफ़ात के पुत्र, येहू नामक व्यक्ति को खोजना. वहां तुम उसके कमरे में जाना, वह अपने साथियों के साथ बैठा होगा. उसे खड़े होने को कहना और उसे अंदर के कमरे में ले जाना.
3 Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.
तब इस तेल की कुप्पी का तेल उसके सिर पर उंडेल देना और कहना, यह संदेश याहवेह की ओर से है, ‘मैं तुम्हें इस्राएल का राजा अभिषिक्त करता हूं.’ तब द्वार खोलकर वहां से बिन देर किए भाग जाना.”
4 So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead.
तब वह युवा भविष्यद्वक्ता, एलीशा का सेवक, रामोथ-गिलआद के लिए चला.
5 And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, To which of us all? And he said, To thee, O captain.
वहां पहुंचकर उसने देखा कि सेनापति की समिति का सत्र चल रहा था. युवा भविष्यद्वक्ता ने घोषणा की, “सेनापति महोदय, मेरे पास आपके लिए एक संदेश है.” येहू ने उत्तर दिया, “हम सब में से किसके लिए?” भविष्यद्वक्ता ने उत्तर दिया, “सेनापति जी, आपके ही लिए.”
6 And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.
तब येहू उठा और घर के भीतर चला गया. युवा भविष्यद्वक्ता ने तुरंत यह कहते हुए उसके सिर पर तेल उंडेल दिया, “याहवेह, इस्राएल के परमेश्वर का यह संदेश है ‘मैं याहवेह की प्रजा, इस्राएल के लिए तुम्हारा राजाभिषेक कर रहा हूं.
7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.
तुम अपने स्वामी अहाब के वंश को नाश करना, कि मैं इसके द्वारा ईजेबेल से अपने सेवक भविष्यवक्ताओं के लहू का और याहवेह के सारे सेवकों के लहू का बदला ले सकूं.
8 For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab the males, both bound and free in Israel:
क्योंकि अहाब का सारा परिवार नाश होगा, मैं अहाब के वंश से हर एक पुरुष को इस्राएल राष्ट्र से मिटा डालूंगा: दास या स्वतंत्र.
9 And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:
मैं अहाब के वंश को नेबाथ के पुत्र यरोबोअम के समान और अहीयाह के पुत्र बाशा के समान बना दूंगा.
10 And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.
येज़्रील ही की सीमा के भीतर कुत्ते ईजेबेल के शव को खाएंगे—कोई उसे गाड़ने भी न पाएगा.’” तब युवा भविष्यद्वक्ता द्वार खोल वहां से भाग गया.
11 Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said to him, Is all well? Why came this mad fellow to thee? And he said to them, Ye know the man, and his communication.
जब येहू कमरे से बाहर अपने स्वामी के सेवकों के पास लौटा, वे उससे पूछने लगे, “सब कुशल तो है न? यह पागल व्यक्ति क्यों आया था तुम्हारे पास?” येहू ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “तुम लोग तो इस व्यक्ति को और उसकी हरकतों को जानते ही हो.”
12 And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus he spoke to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.
सब एक साथ कहने लगे, “नहीं, नहीं, हम नहीं जानते. हमें सच-सच सब बताओ.” तब उसने उत्तर दिया, “उसने मुझसे यह सब कहा है ‘यह याहवेह का संदेश है, “मैं तुम्हें इस्राएल का राजा अभिषिक्त कर रहा हूं.”’”
13 Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.
यह सुनते ही उनमें से हर एक ने अपना अपना बाहरी वस्त्र उतारकर पत्थर की सीढ़ियों पर बिछा दिया और उन्होंने नरसिंगे के साथ घोषणा की, “येहू राजा हैं.”
14 So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.
निमशी के पोते, यहोशाफ़ात के पुत्र येहू ने योराम के विरुद्ध षड़्यंत्र रचा. योराम सारी इस्राएली सेना के साथ अराम के राजा हाज़ाएल से रामोथ-गिलआद की रक्षा कर रहा था,
15 But king Joram had returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it is your minds, then let none go forth nor escape from the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.
मगर वास्तव में राजा यहोराम यहां अरामी सेना से लगे घावों से स्वस्थ होने के उद्देश्य से येज़्रील लौट आया था. ये घाव उसे अराम के राजा हाज़ाएल से युद्ध करते हुए अरामी सेना द्वारा लगे थे. येहू ने यहां यह घोषणा की, “यदि तुम सभी का यही मानना है, कि मैं अब राजा हूं, तो किसी को भी नगर से बाहर न जाने दिया जाए, कि यह समाचार येज़्रील न पहुंच सके.”
16 So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.
तब येहू अपने रथ पर येज़्रील जा पहुंचा, क्योंकि इस समय योराम वहीं येज़्रील में था. यहूदिया का राजा अहज़्याह इस समय योराम का कुशल मंगल पता करने यहां आया हुआ था.
17 And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?
येज़्रील की शहरपनाह पर पहरेदार खड़ा हुआ था. येहू और उसके साथ बढ़ते चले आ रहे दल को देखकर उसने सूचना दी, “मुझे एक दल दिखाई दे रहा है.” यहोराम ने आदेश दिया, “एक घुड़सवार उनसे भेंटकरने भेजा जाए, जो उसे देख उससे पूछे, ‘शांति में ही आ रहे हो न?’”
18 So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he doth not return.
तब उससे भेंटकरने एक घुड़सवार गया. उसने येहू से कहा, “राजा ने पूछा है, ‘शांति के लिए ही आ रहे हो न?’” येहू का उत्तर था, “तुम्हें शांति से क्या लेना देना? मुड़कर हमारा अनुसरण करो.” वहां पहरेदार ने यह सूचना फैला दी: “दूत वहां पहुंचा तो ज़रूर, मगर वह लौटकर नहीं आ रहा.”
19 Then he sent out a second on horseback, who came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.
इस पर एक दूसरे घुड़सवार को भी भेजा गया, जो उनके पास पहुंचा, जिसने येहू से कहा, “यह राजा का संदेश है ‘क्या सब कुशल मंगल है?’” येहू ने उसे उत्तर दिया, “क्या लेना देना है तुम्हारा कुशल मंगल से? मुड़कर हमारा अनुसरण करो.”
20 And the watchman told, saying, He came even to them, and doth not return: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.
पहरेदार ने दोबारा सूचना फैला दी, “वह उनके पास पहुंचा तो ज़रूर, मगर वह लौटकर नहीं आ रहा. घुड़सवार का व्यवहार निमशी के पुत्र येहू समान है—क्योंकि घोड़ा तेजी से दौड़ाया जा रहा है.”
21 And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.
यहोराम ने आदेश दिया, “तैयारी की जाए!” योराम का रथ तैयार किया गया. तब इस्राएल का राजा योराम और यहूदिया का राजा अहज़्याह दोनों ही अपने-अपने रथों पर येहू से भेंटकरने चल पड़े. येहू से उनकी भेंट येज़्रीलवासी नाबोथ की भूमि पर हुई.
22 And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the harlotries of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?
येहू को देखते ही यहोराम ने उससे पूछा, “येहू, क्या सब कुशल मंगल है?” येहू ने उत्तर दिया, “कैसे हो सकती है, शांति, जब राज्य में आपकी माता ईजेबेल की देखरेख में वेश्यावृत्ति और जादू-टोना फैलते जा रहे हैं?”
23 And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.
यह सुनते ही यहोराम ने घोड़े को हांकते हुए अहज़्याह से कहा, “देशद्रोह, अहज़्याह, देशद्रोह!”
24 And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.
येहू ने पूरी शक्ति लगाकर धनुष ताना और यहोराम के दोनों कंधों के बीच निशाना साध कर बाण छोड़ दिया. बाण ने योराम के हृदय को बेध दिया और वह अपने रथ में ही ढेर हो गया.
25 Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him into the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;
येहू ने अपने सहायक बिदकर को आदेश दिया, “उसे उठाकर येज़्रीलवासी नाबोथ की भूमि पर फेंक दो. तुम्हें वह समय याद होगा जब तुम और मैं साथ साथ उसके पिता अहाब के पीछे-पीछे जा रहे थे, स्वयं याहवेह ने कैसे उसके विरुद्ध यह घोषणा की थी:
26 Surely I saw yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will repay thee in this plot, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plot of ground, according to the word of the LORD.
‘ठीक जिस प्रकार कल मैंने नाबोथ और उसके पुत्रों का खून खराबा देखा था, यह याहवेह का संदेश है—तुम्हारा बदला मैं इसी भूमि पर लूंगा.’ इसलिये अब उसे उठाओ और उसे उसी भूमि पर फेंक आओ.”
27 But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.
जब यहूदिया के राजा अहज़्याह ने यह सब देखा, वह बेथ-हग्गान नगर की दिशा में भागने लगा. उसका पीछा करते हुए येहू ने आदेश दिया, “उस पर भी बाण चलाओ!” सैनिकों ने उसे उसके रथ में ही गुर की चढ़ाई पर चढ़ते हुए मार गिराया. यह जगह इब्लीम के पास है. अहज़्याह मगिद्दो की ओर भागा, जहां उसकी मृत्यु हो गई.
28 And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.
उसके सेवक आकर उसे रथ में ही येरूशलेम ले गए और दावीद के नगर में उसे उसके पूर्वजों के साथ कब्र में रख दिया.
29 And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.
अहज़्याह ने अहाब के पुत्र योराम के शासनकाल के ग्यारहवें साल में यहूदिया पर शासन शुरू किया था.
30 And when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and adorned her head, and looked out at a window.
जब येहू येज़्रील नगर पहुंचा ईजेबेल को सारी घटना का समाचार मिला. उसने अपनी आंखों में काजल लगाया, बाल संवारे और खिड़की से बाहर का नज़ारा देखने लगी.
31 And as Jehu entered the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?
जैसे ही येहू ने प्रवेश किया, उसने पूछा, “सब कुशल तो है, अपने ही स्वामी के हत्यारे ज़िमरी?”
32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.
येहू ने खिड़की की ओर दृष्टि करते हुए कहा, “कौन-कौन है मेरी ओर?” दो या तीन अधिकारी खोजों ने झांककर उसकी ओर देखा.
33 And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trod her under foot.
येहू ने आदेश दिया, “फेंक दो उसे वहां से!” तब उन्होंने उसे उठाकर वहां से नीचे फेंक दिया. उसके खून के कुछ छींटे दीवार पर और कुछ छींटे घोड़ों पर जा पड़े और घोड़ों ने उसे रौंद डाला.
34 And when he had come in, he ate and drank, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s daughter.
येहू राजघराने के भीतर गया और तृप्त होने तक भोजन किया. उसने आदेश दिया, “जाकर उस शापित स्त्री को देखो! उसे गाड़ दो, क्योंकि वह राजकुमारी थी.”
35 And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.
वे उसे गाड़ने के उद्देश्य से जब उसे उठाने गए, उन्होंने पाया कि वहां सिर्फ उसकी खोपड़ी, पैर और उसके हाथों की हथेलियां ही बची थी.
36 Therefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:
जब वे लौटकर येहू को बताने गए, उसने याद दिलाया, “यह याहवेह की भविष्यवाणी के अनुसार हुआ है, जो उन्होंने अपने सेवक तिशबेवासी एलियाह के माध्यम से भेजी थी: येज़्रील की सीमा के ही भीतर कुत्ते ईजेबेल का मांस खा जाएंगे,
37 And the dead body of Jezebel shall be as refuse upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.
और ईजेबेल का शव येज़्रील की सीमा के भीतर की भूमि पर गोबर के समान होगा, कि कोई यह न कह सके, ‘यह ईजेबेल है.’”
