2 Chronicles 16
1 In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
೧ಆಸನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಮೂವತ್ತಾರನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ರಾಜನಾದ ಬಾಷನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟುಬಂದನು. ಯಾರೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ, ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗದಂತೆ ರಾಮ ಕೋಟೆಯನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
2 Then Asa brought silver and gold out of the treasuries of the house of the LORD and of the king’s house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
೨ಆಗ ಆಸನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಮನೆಯ ಭಂಡಾರಗಳಿಂದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ದಮಸ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಬೆನ್ಹದದನಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ
3 There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
೩ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ, ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೂ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಇದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ? ಇಗೋ, ನಿನಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ: ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಬಾಷನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು; ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ನೀನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಒಪ್ಪಂದವನ್ನು ಮುರಿದುಬಿಡು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
4 And Benhadad hearkened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
೪ಬೆನ್ಹದದನು ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಸನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ತನ್ನ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು; ಅವರು ಇಯ್ಯೋನ್, ದಾನ್, ಆಬೇಲ್ಮಯಿಮ್, ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಫ್ತಾಲ್ಯರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಉಗ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
5 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he stopped building of Ramah, and let his work cease.
೫ಬಾಷನು ಈ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ರಾಮಕೋಟೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
6 Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber of it, with which Baasha was building; and he built with it Geba and Mizpah.
೬ಅನಂತರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಸನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ರಾಮ ಕೋಟೆಗಾಗಿ ಬಾಷನು ತರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಲ್ಲುಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಗೆಬ, ಮಿಚ್ಪ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore hath the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thy hand.
೭ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ದರ್ಶಕನಾದ ಹನಾನಿಯು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅರಾಮ್ ರಾಜನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಬೀಳದಂತೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿತು.
8 Were not the Cushites and the Lubims a huge army, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thy hand.
೮ಕೂಷ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಲೂಬ್ಯರ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಅಪರಿಮಿತ ರಥಾಶ್ವಬಲಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಮಹಾಸೈನ್ಯವಲ್ಲವೇ? ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. In this thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
೯ಯೆಹೋವನು ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೃಷ್ಠಿಯನ್ನು ಹರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರತಾಪವನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನೀನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಾಗಿ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವೆ; ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧಗಳು ಇದ್ದೇ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
10 Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.
೧೦ಆಸನು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡು, ದರ್ಶಕನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಡಿಸಿ ಕೋಳ ಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಪೀಡಿಸಿದನು.
11 And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
೧೧ಆಸನ ಪೂರ್ವೋತ್ತರಚರಿತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೂದ ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ರಾಜರ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was very grievous: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.
೧೨ಆಸನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಮೂವತ್ತೊಂಬತ್ತನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಹು ಕಠಿಣವಾದ ರೋಗ ತಗಲಿತು. ಈ ರೋಗದಲ್ಲೂ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ಕೋರದೆ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನೇ ಕೋರಿದನು.
13 And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
೧೩ಆಸನು ತನ್ನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ನಲ್ವತ್ತೊಂದನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ತೀರಿಕೊಂಡು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದನು.
14 And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and various kinds of spices prepared by the perfumers’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.
೧೪ಅವನ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ವೈದ್ಯರ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮಿಶ್ರಣ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ತರತರಹದ ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿರುವ ಹಾಸಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲಿಟ್ಟು, ಅವನು ತನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದಾವೀದನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ತೆಗೆಸಿದ್ದ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟರು. ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಧೂಪ ಹಾಕಿ ಸಂತಾಪ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು.
