< 1 Samuel 22 >
1 David therefore departed from there, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down there to him.
Dafidi sì kúrò níbẹ̀, ó sì sá sí ihò Adullamu; nígbà tí àwọn arákùnrin rẹ̀ àti ìdílé baba rẹ̀ sì gbọ́, wọ́n sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ tọ̀ ọ́ wá níbẹ̀.
2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, resorted to him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
Olúkúlùkù ẹni tí ó tí wà nínú ìpọ́njú, àti olúkúlùkù ẹni tí ó ti jẹ gbèsè, àti olúkúlùkù ẹni tí ó wà nínú ìbànújẹ́, sì kó ara wọn jọ sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, òun sì jẹ́ olórí wọn; àwọn tí ó wà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ sì tó ìwọ̀n irinwó ọmọkùnrin.
3 And David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said to the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.
Dafidi sì ti ibẹ̀ náà lọ sí Mispa tí Moabu: ó sì wí fún ọba Moabu pé, “Jẹ́ kí baba àti ìyá mi, èmi bẹ̀ ọ́ wá bá ọ gbé, títí èmi yóò fi mọ ohun ti Ọlọ́run yóò ṣe fún mi.”
4 And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the strong hold.
Ó sì mú wọn wá síwájú ọba Moabu; wọ́n sì bá á gbé ní gbogbo ọjọ́ tí Dafidi fi wà nínú ihò náà.
5 And the prophet Gad said to David, Abide not in the strong hold; depart, and come into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
Gadi wòlíì sí wí fún Dafidi pé, “Ma ṣe gbé inú ihò náà, yẹra, kí o sí lọ sí ilẹ̀ Juda.” Nígbà náà ni Dafidi sì yẹra, ó sì lọ sínú igbó Hereti.
6 When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him; )
Saulu si gbọ́ pé a rí Dafidi àti àwọn ọkùnrin tí ó wà lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀; Saulu sì ń bẹ ní Gibeah lábẹ́ igi tamariski ní Rama; ọ̀kọ̀ rẹ̀ sì ń bẹ lọ́wọ́ rẹ̀, àti gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ sì dúró tì í.
7 Then Saul said to his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give each one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;
Nígbà náà ni Saulu wí fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ tí ó dúró tì í, pé, “Ǹjẹ́ ẹ gbọ́ ẹ̀yin ará Benjamini, ọmọ Jese yóò ha fún olúkúlùkù yín ni oko ọgbà àjàrà bí? Kí ó sì sọ gbogbo yin dì olórí ẹgbẹẹgbẹ̀rún àti olórí ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún bí?
8 That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that showeth to me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or showeth to me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
Tí gbogbo yín di ìmọ̀lù sí mi, tí kò sì sí ẹnìkan tí ó sọ létí mi pé, ọmọ mi ti bá ọmọ Jese mulẹ̀, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kó sì sí ẹnìkan nínú yín tí ó ṣàánú mi, tí ó sì sọ ọ́ létí mi pé, ọmọ mi mú kí ìránṣẹ́ mi dìde sí mi láti ba dè mí, bí ó ti rí lónìí.”
9 Then answered Doeg the Edomite, who was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
Doegi ará Edomu tí a fi jẹ olórí àwọn ìránṣẹ́ Saulu, sì dáhùn wí pé, “Èmi rí ọmọ Jese, ó wá sí Nobu, sọ́dọ̀ Ahimeleki ọmọ Ahitubu.
10 And he enquired of the LORD for him, and gave him food, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.
Òun sì béèrè lọ́dọ̀ Olúwa fún un, ó sì fún un ní oúnjẹ, ó sí fún un ni idà Goliati ará Filistini.”
11 Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father’s house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.
Ọba sì ránṣẹ́ pe Ahimeleki àlùfáà, ọmọ Ahitubu àti gbogbo ìdílé baba rẹ̀, àwọn àlùfáà tí ó wà ni Nobu: gbogbo wọn ni ó sì wá sọ́dọ̀ ọba.

Saulu sì wí pé, “Ǹjẹ́ gbọ́, ìwọ ọmọ Ahitubu.” Òun sì wí pé, “Èmi nìyìí olúwa mi.”
13 And Saul said to him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
Saulu sì wí fún un pé, “Kí ni ó dé tí ẹ̀yin fi ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí mi, ìwọ àti ọmọ Jese, tí ìwọ fi fún un ní àkàrà, àti idà, àti ti ìwọ fi béèrè fún un lọ́dọ̀ Ọlọ́run kí òun lè dìde sí mi, láti ba dè mí, bí ó ti rí lónìí.”
14 Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, who is the king’s son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thy house?
Ahimeleki sì dá ọba lóhùn, ó sì wí pé, “Ta ni ó jẹ́ olóòtítọ́ nínú gbogbo àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ bí Dafidi, ẹni tí ó jẹ́ àna ọba, ẹni tí ó ń gbọ́ tìrẹ, tí ó sì ni ọlá ní ilé rẹ.
15 Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing to his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.
Òní lèmi ó ṣẹ̀ṣẹ̀ máa béèrè lọ́wọ́ Ọlọ́run fún un bí? Kí èyí jìnnà sí mi: kí ọba má ṣe ka nǹkan kan sí ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ lọ́rùn, tàbí sí gbogbo ìdílé baba mi: nítorí pé ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ kò mọ̀kan nínú gbogbo nǹkan yìí, díẹ̀ tàbí púpọ̀.”
16 And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father’s house.
Ọba sì wí pé, “Ahimeleki, kíkú ni ìwọ yóò kú, ìwọ àti gbogbo ìdílé baba rẹ̀.”
17 And the king said to the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not show it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
Ọba sì wí fún àwọn aṣáájú ti máa ń sáré níwájú ọba, tí ó dúró tì í pé, “Yípadà kí ẹ sì pa àwọn àlùfáà Olúwa; nítorí pé ọwọ́ wọn wà pẹ̀lú Dafidi, àti nítorí pé wọ́n mọ ìgbà tí òun sá, wọn kò sì sọ ọ́ létí mi.” Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ìránṣẹ́ ọba kò sì jẹ́ fi ọwọ́ wọn lé àwọn àlùfáà Olúwa láti pa wọ́n.
18 And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day eighty and five persons that wore a linen ephod.
Ọba sì wí fún Doegi pé, “Ìwọ yípadà, kí o sì pa àwọn àlùfáà!” Doegi ará Edomu sì yípadà, ó sì kọlu àwọn àlùfáà, ó sì pa wọ́n ní ọjọ́ náà, àrùnlélọ́gọ́rin ènìyàn ti ń wọ aṣọ ọ̀gbọ̀ efodu.

22 And David said to Abiathar, I knew that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father’s house.
Dafidi sì wí fún Abiatari pé, “Èmi ti mọ̀ ní ọjọ́ náà, nígbà tí Doegi ará Edomu ti wà níbẹ̀ pé, nítòótọ́ yóò sọ fún Saulu: nítorí mi ni a ṣe pa gbogbo ìdílé baba rẹ.
