1 Peter 3
1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the behaviour of the wives;
හේ යෝෂිතඃ, යූයමපි නිජස්වාමිනාං වශ්‍යා භවත තථා සති යදි කේචිද් වාක්‍යේ විශ්වාසිනෝ න සන්ති තර්හි
2 While they behold your chaste behaviour coupled with fear.
තේ විනාවාක්‍යං යෝෂිතාම් ආචාරේණාර්ථතස්තේෂාං ප්‍රත්‍යක්‍ෂේණ යුෂ්මාකං සභයසතීත්වාචාරේණාක්‍රෂ්ටුං ශක්‍ෂ්‍යන්තේ|
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of arranging the hair, and of wearing gold, or of putting on apparel;
අපරං කේශරචනයා ස්වර්ණාලඞ්කාරධාරණෝන පරිච්ඡදපරිධානේන වා යුෂ්මාකං වාහ්‍යභූෂා න භවතු,
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
කින්ත්වීශ්වරස්‍ය සාක්‍ෂාද් බහුමූල්‍යක්‍ෂමාශාන්තිභාවාක්‍ෂයරත්නේන යුක්තෝ ගුප්ත ආන්තරිකමානව ඒව|
5 For after this manner in former times the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
යතඃ පූර්ව්වකාලේ යාඃ පවිත්‍රස්ත්‍රිය ඊශ්වරේ ප්‍රත්‍යාශාමකුර්ව්වන් තා අපි තාදෘශීමේව භූෂාං ධාරයන්ත්‍යෝ නිජස්වාමිනාං වශ්‍යා අභවන්|
6 Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any terror.
තථෛව සාරා ඉබ්‍රාහීමෝ වශ්‍යා සතී තං පතිමාඛ්‍යාතවතී යූයඤ්ච යදි සදාචාරිණ්‍යෝ භවථ ව්‍යාකුලතයා ච භීතා න භවථ තර්හි තස්‍යාඃ කන්‍යා ආධ්වේ|
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
හේ පුරුෂාඃ, යූයං ඥානතෝ දුර්බ්බලතරභාජනෛරිව යෝෂිද්භිඃ සහවාසං කුරුත, ඒකස්‍ය ජීවනවරස්‍ය සහභාගිනීභ්‍යතාභ්‍යඃ සමාදරං විතරත ච න චේද් යුෂ්මාකං ප්‍රාර්ථනානාං බාධා ජනිෂ්‍යතේ|
8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one for another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
විශේෂතෝ යූයං සර්ව්ව ඒකමනසඃ පරදුඃඛෛ ර්දුඃඛිතා භ්‍රාතෘප්‍රමිණඃ කෘපාවන්තඃ ප්‍රීතිභාවාශ්ච භවත|
9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but on the contrary blessing; knowing that ye are called to this, that ye should inherit a blessing.
අනිෂ්ටස්‍ය පරිශෝධේනානිෂ්ටං නින්දායා වා පරිශෝධේන නින්දාං න කුර්ව්වන්ත ආශිෂං දත්ත යතෝ යූයම් ආශිරධිකාරිණෝ භවිතුමාහූතා ඉති ජානීථ|
10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
අපරඤ්ච, ජීවනේ ප්‍රීයමාණෝ යඃ සුදිනානි දිදෘක්‍ෂතේ| පාපාත් ජිහ්වාං මෘෂාවාක්‍යාත් ස්වාධරෞ ස නිවර්ත්තයේත්|
11 Let him turn away from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it.
ස ත්‍යජේද් දුෂ්ටතාමාර්ගං සත්ක්‍රියාඤ්ච සමාචරේත්| මෘගයාණශ්ච ශාන්තිං ස නිත්‍යමේවානුධාවතු|
12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
ලෝචනේ පරමේශස්‍යෝන්මීලිතේ ධාර්ම්මිකාන් ප්‍රති| ප්‍රාර්ථනායාඃ කෘතේ තේෂාඃ තච්ඡ්‍රෝත්‍රේ සුගමේ සදා| ක්‍රෝධාස්‍යඤ්ච පරේශස්‍ය කදාචාරිෂු වර්ත්තතේ|
13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye are followers of that which is good?
අපරං යදි යූයම් උත්තමස්‍යානුගාමිනෝ භවථ තර්හි කෝ යුෂ්මාන් හිංසිෂ්‍යතේ?
14 But if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
යදි ච ධර්ම්මාර්ථං ක්ලිශ්‍යධ්වං තර්හි ධන්‍යා භවිෂ්‍යථ| තේෂාම් ආශඞ්කයා යූයං න බිභීත න විඞ්ක්ත වා|
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
මනෝභිඃ කින්තු මන්‍යධ්වං පවිත්‍රං ප්‍රභුමීශ්වරං| අපරඤ්ච යුෂ්මාකම් ආන්තරිකප්‍රත්‍යාශායාස්තත්ත්වං යඃ කශ්චිත් පෘච්ඡති තස්මෛ ශාන්තිභීතිභ්‍යාම් උත්තරං දාතුං සදා සුසජ්ජා භවත|
16 Having a good conscience; that, though they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good behaviour in Christ.
යේ ච ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටධර්ම්මේ යුෂ්මාකං සදාචාරං දූෂයන්ති තේ දුෂ්කර්ම්මකාරිණාමිව යුෂ්මාකම් අපවාදේන යත් ලජ්ජිතා භවේයුස්තදර්ථං යුෂ්මාකම් උත්තමඃ සංවේදෝ භවතු|
17 For it is better, if the will of God is so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
ඊශ්වරස්‍යාභිමතාද් යදි යුෂ්මාභිඃ ක්ලේශඃ සෝඪව්‍යස්තර්හි සදාචාරිභිඃ ක්ලේශසහනං වරං න ච කදාචාරිභිඃ|
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:
යස්මාද් ඊශ්වරස්‍ය සන්නිධිම් අස්මාන් ආනේතුම් අධාර්ම්මිකාණාං විනිමයේන ධාර්ම්මිකඃ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටෝ (අ)ප්‍යේකකෘත්වඃ පාපානාං දණ්ඩං භුක්තවාන්, ස ච ශරීරසම්බන්ධේ මාරිතඃ කින්ත්වාත්මනඃ සම්බන්ධේ පුන ර්ජීවිතෝ (අ)භවත්|
19 By whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison;
තත්සම්බන්ධේ ච ස යාත්‍රාං විධාය කාරාබද්ධානාම් ආත්මනාං සමීපේ වාක්‍යං ඝෝෂිතවාන්|
20 Who at one time were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was preparing, in which few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
පුරා නෝහස්‍ය සමයේ යාවත් පෝතෝ නිරමීයත තාවද් ඊශ්වරස්‍ය දීර්ඝසහිෂ්ණුතා යදා ව්‍යලම්බත තදා තේ(අ)නාඥාග්‍රාහිණෝ(අ)භවන්| තේන පෝතෝනාල්පේ(අ)ර්ථාද් අෂ්ටාවේව ප්‍රාණිනස්තෝයම් උත්තීර්ණාඃ|
21 The like figure to which even baptism doth also now save us ( not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, ) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
තන්නිදර්ශනඤ්චාවගාහනං (අර්ථතඃ ශාරීරිකමලිනතායා යස්ත්‍යාගඃ ස නහි කින්ත්වීශ්වරායෝත්තමසංවේදස්‍ය යා ප්‍රතඥා සෛව) යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය පුනරුත්ථානේනේදානීම් අස්මාන් උත්තාරයති,
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.
යතඃ ස ස්වර්ගං ගත්වේශ්වරස්‍ය දක්‍ෂිණේ විද්‍යතේ ස්වර්ගීයදූතාඃ ශාසකා බලානි ච තස්‍ය වශීභූතා අභවන්|
